I heard the previous owner got out of the business after the attempt to car jack him in the parking lot. At least the local DA decided not to charge him for shooting the criminal.

Just had a shooting a few weeks ago in the parking lot or the street in in front.
The old owner shot a couple of guys that tried to rob/carjack him a couple of years ago.

Only three notable occasions.
One, was at a bbq a few hours from home at a buddy's parents house for a LPGA event (they lived on the course). Some idle chit chat with one of their neighbors wife, nothing of any depth. A month or two later, I stop at a local sleazy club and who is on stage? We lock eyes and I take a seat in the back. She get off stage and comes over. She tells me that her husband was a controlling and she had to get any purchase approved and was working to save up some money for a divorce and comes into town when he was travelling for work. We hit it off well and did some dances and for the next year or so every time she was in town she stayed at my place to avoid paying for a hotel and I think a sense of security. After her divorce and fleecing of her husband, never saw her again.
Two, took a couple of customers to a low contact club one evening. We sit down and a dancer or two later a young dancer gets on stage. I tell them I know her and I think she's still in high school... they call BS. After her set she comes down plops in my lap and asks how I doing by name. We chat a bit. She tells me she just turned 18 still in high school and not to tell her parents but her grandmother knows. Her parents were dock mates of mine at a local Yacht Club and I'd known her since she was maybe 10 or so. It was strange but I never said a word. Her grandmother and I would get a laugh on the pool deck when she would bring a dancer or two to the club on a sunny summer Sunday afternoon and all the old men would just about fall over themselves in front of their wives.
Three, I had a vendor sales rep that was a Indiana Pentecost self righteous jerk. Stopped into a club one night and he was there so absorbed in stage show that the place could have burnt down around him and he'd never have noticed. Since I was a regular at the place and knew most of the dancer, I found one who was on the happy ending spectrum and paid her and sent her over to him as long as she didn't tell him where they dances came from. She went over gave him some line about him being so good looking and her being horny and took him to back for "free". Not even a half a song into the dance he comes almost running out of the back and out the door he goes. The dancer comes over about ten minutes later and relates she never even touched him and shot off in his pants when she rubbed her kitty.

I stopped on Saturday afternoon and it was the same old.. what limited dancers there were working, just playing on their phones while 8-10 customers looking around for company.

TheOSU.. I've been trying to remember the closed clubs. The little dive closed just west (cannot remember the name) of the CH that is still open. West to East closed clubs - Sky (topless) and the Back bar (nude), Juicy Lucy, Fox Den, Pinky's, GiGi's, CH brookpark at W130th. Can you think of any I'm missing.
Whodey, GiGi's was the only club besides Lido's that scared me to go in... Lido's the clientele and GiGi's the talent. One of the Happiest times of my life was moving out of Cincinnati, I had a few properties in Hyde Park and Mount Lookout and did some flips in the lower east end and Oakley. The only things I miss is Buskins, UDF, Gratters and the closed Maisonette restaurant.

CJ -- assuming everything you said is correct, the byproduct of your rant is still founded in centralized power structures.. IE far left ideologies.
Try and spin it any way you want but the fundamental truth is the problems you site are mainly caused by the belief system you adhere to without refection or self awareness.
What I fear the most forming or taking a stronger hold on the country's future is the rise of a permanent Oligarchy. Censorship and loss of enumerated rights to the "privileges" granted to former citizens by the form of government / quasi government you hold dear.

On your q and a -- I do think you are right about Amazon and the differentiating treatment based on wealth. But then again that is a problem with leftist forms of controlling governments.
As for wages being a form of slavery, you must forget or not believe in the concept of individual free will and believe that workers are subjugated by the will of government to keep the cogs of the machine running and the small powerful members of the elite government are benefiting off the backs of the poor. I'm sorry you feel yourself a subject of the government structure verses as intended by the Constitution as an equal partner. Limited government with in the confines of the founding fathers would do much to solve some of the problems you mention but are you willing to shoulder the responsibilities of equal governance or complain when the ideology you espouse which give control over your free will and well being to the state at the cost of keeping the few in money and power?
White collar crime does equal damage to society as street crime... You need to better define the cost of the damage done.

Most a/c units cannot handle or are sized for the square footage not the heat generated by a large crowd... so keep it cold and hope that if the crowd builds the place does not get too hot.

I was a Miami Redhawk (not a red hawk). I was in Oxford a couple of years ago for my advisors funeral. It has turned into pig heaven. Carnegie Mellon or College of Wooster is closer to what Miami girls have become. There are still a few that are lookers and come for the degree in marriage but the mighty has fallen.

Seen it and done it. Was out of town in my old home town Chicago on a weekday and stopped at a club. The club was a make it rain type of place.. not my style. There was a dancer from a Cleveland club working and we sat around and caught up on the home town happenings. A couple of foreign guys that would come in to see her showed up but she stuck around and we continued to chat. When it was her time to go on stage she gave me a hundred or more in single to throw at her as the guys that came in to see her did not like to be shown up. I walk up threw the cash at her... the guys come up throw their cash at her, by this time I was laughing so I walked up and threw a few hundreds in twenties at her. They emptied their wallets to one up me. She gets off stage, thanks the guys. find out the are now broke and comes back to sit with me... gives me back the twenties and says that was the best stage tip ever. The guys ended up dumping about $700 on the stage in two songs just as to not be out done. She paid for drinks for the rest of the night.
Same night one of her friends had ballers come into see her.. we repeated the charade and she made some good stage money.
