I don't doubt this at all. I traded in my Explorer about 2 years ago. But I still get letters from services asking if I want to sell it. They have the information on my former vehicle from the public records. So they know how it is equipped and are estimating the mileage. The offers I am getting now are a couple of thousand more than what I got two years ago for that truck. And I thought I got a pretty good deal two years ago when I traded it in.

People got used to sitting on their butts getting paid. Now they have to work again, they don't like it. I think at this point, its mostly just a threat. Workers think it is so much better somewhere else. Then some will change jobs, then figure out the old job wasn't so bad. We just need to get rid of these stupid extra unemployment payments.

I don't think it's regional as much as it is the tolerance of each local government. Look at the State of Florida. Tampa and Miami are great places if you want mileage. Orlando is one of the worst in the country. And local governments can change. City of Houston in the 80s and 90s was the Bomb. Then a certain Lesbian mayor decided she didn't like them, so she put all kinds of new rules in place. They have not been the same since.
I'm thinking that as more DA's say they are not going to prosecute certain crimes, then behavior is going to change. People will do what they don't think they will get in trouble for doing.

mark94 - Where are you getting that info ? Half of all sold in 4 year are ALL electric ? Maybe hybrids, but not ALL electric.
25 is correct. Now is not the time. There are severe inventory problems right now. You may think you are getting a lot for your current vehicle but you will get gouged on the repurchase right now.
In normal times, I buy a car that has 10-15 thousand miles on it already. Certified Pre-Owned. Everyone thinks I got a brand new car. But someone else took that first year depreciation. Then I unload when the care gets more than 80,000 miles. I want dependability. And things just seem to start to go wrong after about 80k. And the trade in still has some value at that point. That makes me trade every 4-5 years. By then, I'm getting bored with what I have and want something different.

This seems to be all about where you are. In Florida, no one bats an eye if you walk into a club with shorts. But in certain cities, they are never worn. Houston is just as hot as South Florida, but I always wear dress slacks when I club in Houston.

I would never throw out a number that I wouldn't actually pay. I do think that is kinda rude. That's like the girl agreeing to do it for a low number, then trying to negotiate it up once you get to the room. I HATE that.

Las Olas Blvd. Fort Lauderdale. There is a strip of about 20-25 restaurants that many turn into bars at night. It's relatively upscale. All the restaurants have outdoor seating. Lots of people walking around the street. Good eye candy.

Most people are too damn lazy to get our of their car. I almost always prefer to walk in. Actually, I try to stay away from fast food as much as possible anyway.
