There's a # of us on here that often wear shorts to the club - particularly on dayshift and particularly in hot-climates - at night; or in a higher-end club, it may not play as well or even permitted.
If one is into getting contact-dances then wearing soft shorts makes the dances more enjoyable (many of us shorts' guys also go commando for max "feelage") - w/ certain shorts one does not have a zipper getting in the way of a good grind or it rubbing against your commando unit - and in some of the raunchier clubs shorts w/ wide-legs (e.g. athletic-shorts; etc) allow for "wandering-dancer-hands".
I usually wear golf shorts and commando. Black shorts just in case an LDK. you can get into HL and BSC. I have been denied entry at Jags, Christies and Xplict for wearing shorts.
This seems to be all about where you are. In Florida, no one bats an eye if you walk into a club with shorts. But in certain cities, they are never worn. Houston is just as hot as South Florida, but I always wear dress slacks when I club in Houston.
I’ve never been to Phoenix - so I don’t have specific information to share. But, I would recommend you check the club dress code - if you are going to an upscale club in the evening.
I wear shorts to the NJ dives regardless of whether it’s day or night. I like having zipper pockets so nothing gets lost if I decide to get comfortable in the back room.
Don’t think I’ve never not worn shorts in a club. I’m a bit hot natured anyway and since the hvac is set to keep the girls comfortable I might as well be comfortable too.
"... in certain cities, they are never worn. Houston is just as hot as South Florida, but I always wear dress slacks when I club in Houston ..."
I clubbed in Houston in June of 2019 - it was hot and humid AF (felt hotter than Miami) - I went to Centerfolds which is a dive in a lowrent neighborhood and I went in the middle of the afternoon wearing shorts - the lady taking the cover-charge told me she was letting me in that time but that their dresscode was business-casual - IDK if they accept dress-shorts (I was wearing my Nike athletic shorts).
I prefer to wear shorts and go commando whenever the wind chill factor is above freezing. I've only been refused service once and that was for wearing sweat pants with the wind chill below freezing. Never went back to that club.
"but I always wear dress slacks when I club in Houston."
Any club that's worth anything in Houston it won't make difference if you're in shorts or not. Or in ATX or SATX. But if it's hot, why not go for it?
I'm thinking in a place like Phoenix in the Summertime shorts are fine. The day I did a quick tour including HL and BSC I was in shorts. No problems even as an unknown.
From most clubs in Baltimore and in Fla.. Shorts with wide legs and commando and never had a problem.. Some clubs frown on the "Basketball looking" shorts but I do not wear those.
At a Detroit club (Coliseum-- used to be great, no longer great!), I was denied admission for wearing nice looking sweat pants. Then the bouncer admitted the next customer in line, a woman wearing stretch tights. I asked "why did you let her in, my workout pants look as good as her leggings." He just said "that's the club policy."
Other than that one experience, I've never had trouble with a dress code, including wearing golf shorts. I prefer golf short over basketball shorts because I like having pockets for my wallet and other necessities (e.g., condoms).
+1 for wearing shorts in south Florida clubs, I do it all the time. Never basketball shorts, but often board shorts or golf shorts. Weekend nights I might not wear them in a couple of higher end clubs but I've certainly done it before.
I used to be the idiot that wore jeans to a club. Then one day at Tootsie's Inwas wearing shorts. An 8 put her hand up my short leg and didn't let go until I took her VIP. Now, I actively avoid long pants. Thank goodness Florida has endleas summer.
Never worn shorts but I normally wear very loose dress pants. Very silky smooth.
Thought the night was dead, but as soon as one girl stood up her ass was a 10. Rushed to her immediately and asked for a dance.
As I walked to the back I flipped my dick to my waist sat down and she plopped her beautiful big cheeks on my crotch. She started moving a bit and then spread her ass to have it sandwiched between her cheeks and started moving up and down with a beautiful amount of pressure until I exploded.

I've worn slides with no problem though
