Remember when there were lists here....Before the top40 lists, I do seem to recall there was a top 100 list, as PSD mentions. I found tuscl in 2015 so it was as recent as that if not later.

Under Armour - no more clubbingSort of old news. This was a big deal about 20 years ago where feminists were bringing lawsuits to companies' boards of directors over the practice of expensing strip clubs visits. It was one of those things as women were climbing the corporate ladder and breaking the glass ceiling.
There (or then) the argument was different as was the times. The argument then wasn't SJW or other BS like that. Then it was about perceived unfair practices or unfair advantages that male salesmen had over women, e.g. a man could take a client to a SC to close a sale. I always admired the women back then who did not give a fuck and did want needed to be done instead of being offended.
I saw one back in the day. She would just sit down with a client in a strip club, turn the chair around, her back to the stage, and close the deal same as a man would. I respect that.
If anything, that move by the feminists helped the hobbyists (you guys). Overnight about 25% of the SC sales dried up. It was easy money, too. They were largely a drink and look but don't touch group of customers. The type of customer we hate. The money vacuum was filled by strip club junkies looking for more bang for the buck. Mileage, contact, groping, sex, extras, OTC. The dancers would be willing to go less far for you guys (and lopaw) if the easy money from company expense accounts was still flowing.

New name for strip clubsAt the Nudie Bar
from Rites of Passage (616)
Where the music stinks, and they water the drinks, the nudie bar.
Where the girlies dance in their underpants, the nudie bar.
Where you see their butt, and their trap stays shut, at the nudie bar.
Where you can't touch a breast, but you can cave in a chest, at the nudie bar.
Where you look at a thigh, and blacken an eye, at the nudie bar.
Where the beer gives you gas, but the Bundys kick ass, at the nudie bar.

OT: Did you know slavery was still legal?to me prisoners are no different that age discrimination (which is not a thing). The way I've heard it reasoned was that since everyone has a chance 1) to quality or 2) not qualify then it's not really discrimination. So I don't see the problem with prisoners as unpaid labor. But if they want to pay them 3 cents a hour, that essentially zero, and I'm okay with that, too.
I agree with skibum on the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments. At least the trolls didn't chime in that abe lincoln freed the slaves with the emancipation proclamation.

Election day is finally here. Thank goodness.@randommember
To me, the noteworthy part of the ad campaign this year was just how negative the ad campaigns were. I'd go out on a limb to say the ads were just about 100% negative, attack ads, or mug slinging. Just fear, fear, fear. Esp the healthcare ads RE: pre-existing conditions. I would rather have heard about their message of what they are doing to help (positive ads).
The thing I see when I read "pre-existing conditions" is "I need someone else to may for my medical care and prescriptions." Because that's what they mean. The gov't doesn't "take away" health insurance. The insurance companies "take away" my health insurance when "I stop paying the premiums".
" What's incredibly annoying is Libertarians who just can't acknowledge that government regulation is sometimes necessary and that unfettered capitalism can, and does, fail in catastrophic ways. We didn't have enough government regulation to prevent a bogus, private, mortgage securitizaion chain from developing in the first place. When the party ended in 2008, we had to bail out Wall Street at taxpayer expense. "
What if the really fucked up thing is that bailing out the banks with cash, would actually be cheaper in the long run that gov't doing it (executive branch & regulations)? As much as I despise bankers, finance types, etc. (=rent seeking assholes) sometimes I wonder. Or wonder what history will ultimately think?

Are Extras THE reason you SC?I go for the boobs and to see beautiful women dance on stage or to get a lap dance. It's just an occasional diversion for me; adult entertainment that allows me to reset my brain from the daily life grind.
I've never had extras or paid for sex in or out of the club. So that's never been the motivator.

From 1 to 10, whats the best you could do without paying for it?????It would be easier for someone to "ask" a 7-up out than it would be for me (or other broke BFs) to come with with the $300 to pay for sex and $100 to buy a hotel room, once, not to mention consistently. But I don't want to focus on the money too much in this discussion.
For me, after a couple lucky starts at 15, then a little hesitation in confidence when I realized my upbringing (mother, etc) did not work when it came to women or dating, so I pivoted pretty quickly and figured out what did. I also figured out how to read women.
I think that is my thesis here. It's easier to learn how to real women, etc than it is to learn "the wisdom you gain as you are making money and building wealth. ...the decisions you make for a career, life choices." Here I'm 41 and still learning that stuff, whereas reading women (gaining confidence, better perspective, understood what the hell I was doing and why it worked for me) I sort of picked up quickly and while still fairly young and inexperienced at 15. That took, 3 months, tops. Maybe a few minutes with my approach on one pretty girl in particular. Whereas I'm still trying a build a career and wealth at 41 and still struggling. I can't explain why.

Valet parking an expensive car at the club...I was all excited about this thread when I first read it. You know that feeling, right? I had just bought what I thought was an expensive car a couple years back, so I felt I could relate. 2 yo. C.P.O. with warranty, first car I spent more than TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS on, to me that was expensive, lol. Then I realized I'm of by an order of magnitude from you guys, lmao. 150k, 200k. Still, I detail it myself once a week if not twice a week. I try to keep it looking nice and I maintain it. But when I'm out, I can't worry about it too much. Shit's gonna happen. I've never valeted it, but at least I feel proud driving it up to the strip club in the flats in cleveland instead of my old beater. So the shit's for me, not what "she" thinks. I don't care what see thinks. I've gone through that calculus and I am over it.
@vantablack
I'm a car guy, but I'm more on the "Roadkill" pricing scale. I can't imagine corvettes and newer cars with 500+bhp factory engines. I'm still on the low end, but I do do all of my own maintenance, upgrades, repairs, etc.myself. I have a fox body 5.0 liter 5-spd mustang, the ones with 200 bhp that you put down in another thread. Had it for a little over 20 years, bought from the original owner. Nothing special. But for now, it's what I have. I keep meaning to buy more speed parts for it but it's been stalled for the last 16 years. It's been stored outside in Cleveland weather so she's not looking so pretty anymore. I'm still a car guy, even though I don't have 0-60 mph times or the bhp numbers you all have. So there's not much to brag about, least not here. Other than to say I still have my teenage car. Not many guys can still say that. Well, that and $20 will buy a lap dance. ;)
I still have to laugh again about me thinking $10k was an expensive car, lol. I keep forgetting you guys live in a different world than me. Damn, I need a new job.

From 1 to 10, whats the best you could do without paying for it?????Personally, it's far easier to snag a 8 or a 9 without paying for it. Maybe it's just me, and this goes counterculture on Tuscl, ........ but it seems like you all have solved the "harder problem" first (get money, career) instead of the easier problem (which requires no specialized anything, or just common sense). I dunno. Maybe that's just me. Even DC9428 subscribes to this, though. It's just an observation.

Don't fail to voteAs I've been in the middle quin-tile I'll watched wealth transfer from the upper 2 quin-tiles to the lower 2 quin-tiles for a while now. I'm not sure that really solves anything long term.
On the plus side there are 3 libertarian candidates on the ballot today. :D
Does early voting work? Or is it treated like a provisional ballot or absenteee ballot? Maybe I don't understand these things, but I was always (mistakenly??) under the impression that voting provisionally or absentee, that that vote is only tallied if the race is close, otherwise they ignore them. Is that not the case? I'd be afraid to vote early out of the same concern. This is why the Missus and I are going to the polls in about an hour from now.

Election day is finally here. Thank goodness.Ohio here - the news broadcasts and wall to wall negative ads (for the gullible?). I don't watch many other TV programs but one odd thing this year is the Missus and I are seeing negative political ads on YouTube, of all places. That one is new for me.
I have an older, gullible neighbor across the street from me. he says, "[he doesn't know who to vote for this year because they've all been discredited." Where 'discredited' is his word. He means the negative ads, mainly.
I've also had my phone blowing up with texts with random campaign messages all week (trump rally, Ohio issue no. 1, etc)

LDK's question rephrasedFor me it's 2-3 times a year, budget constrained. But that's more the least amount of times I can go before I go crazy, not the sweet spot. Budget unrestrained??? I'm not really sure what the sweet spot is. Maybe every 5 weeks if I COULD swing it budget wise or even 5-6 times a month for a limited time if I was flush with cash and really had the urge. For now, I err on "being responsible" and go as often as I can and feel the urge.

OT: Is it me or are prices on stuff going up ?The prices on raw foods have gone up slightly. I don't buy much processed food either. Some of the local produce, dairy, meats, cage free eggs, etc haven't gone up or in some cases have gone down. But that's because those items were never cheap. But still I prioritize them. Cooking from scratch and clean eating has been something I was always raised with and something I have always done.
As for the median wages going up as DC9428 noted and Trapbaby304's skepticism from wages on the ground. I think both are true. DC9428 cites the median household wages (often more than one wage earner). Trapbaby, true. I don't thing wages on a per-hour basis are going up. Not all all. Unless you are in the top 20%. But cited in a many places, the median household wage is going up because those in the middle are working more hours, longer hours, wife returning from part time to full time work, husband taking a second job, one or both taking side jobs or hustles, etc.
For example, we read of dancers on here having vanilla jobs in addition to dancing. The wage gains are just a result of working longer hours. Not necessarily that our pay went up!
As for lap dances, they seem to be to be stuck at $15 since I've been clubbing in 1995. There are some areas with $20 or even $25 dances but those seem rare to me. But I don't club much nor do I ever have much change to travel far from home. So I don't have a broader perspective on LDs prices. I just know between 1995-2003 and 2015-2018, it's still pretty much holding the same: : $15 a dance.

My take on sexI always find the dissenting views of the men on Tuscl interesting, fascinating, and insightful! Maybe because I was raised entirely by women, steeped in feminism, pro-women agendas, progressivism, and that FDR's New Deal was literally the best thing ever for this country, wage-gap, welfare, wealth transfer, affirmative action, etc. It was just told to me to assume that women want these reproductive rights and it should be granted without question.
So I find of all of the dissenting logic -- presented without a single religious overtone -- to be new and interesting to me. And at times, compelling. To quote juicebox69: Brilliant points, gentlemen!

My take on sexI don't know if this was true of all late (younger) GenX youth, but sex education for me was in the shadow of the AIDS epidemic, STDs, abortions, and unwanted pregnancies. There was A LOT of incomplete information and I now believe our educators were steeped in fear.
There was a big feeling that the educators didn't totally understand how AIDS or it was too PC to say why.
(Female to male transmission was rare, male to female transmission was a real concern, but heterosexual males in male/female relationships who became infected weren't getting it from females but instead were getting it from homosexual sex on the side from gay men-- particularly anal sex with men -- they were getting infected then later unknowingly infecting their women partners that way. Except it wasn't really talked about or maybe it was too PC to talk about. Then there was also the intravenous needle sharing among drug users. )
So the AIDS concern along with unreliable statistics on the effectiveness of birth control methods -- rhythm method, condoms, the pill, sponges -- led the educators to convey fear that we'd get AIDS, unwanted pregnancies, ruin our careers or lives, get STDs no matter what we did so we should just practice ABSTINENCE. Yeah, let literally tell the more hormonal, horniest, and sexually hungriest age groups to either abstain or just have less sex, less often, avoid one night stands, "just to be safe" on the odds. Better safe than sorry was the message I saw GenX get. It was more of Nancy Reagan's "Just Say No" message again.
I understand the educators and some parents had our best interests at heart or at least thought they did with the information they had. But most of us found it confusing or wanting.
Other parents were more open and accepting of sex. But even then, you're going to have it, so just be safe. Try to have sex only with someone you truly love. Avoid one night stands. Many of my girlfriends or female interests told me this, and found it lacking and wanting. So they'd ask me what I thought about sex and love. Mostly out of desire for some structure or some message they could get behind. Since they sure as hell weren't getting that structure at home or at school or church.
I think there as some healthier attitudes about sex today than 20-30 years ago. And 20-30 years ago we still lived in the confusing after effects of the sexual revolution and women's liberation. But then as we do now, we need to raise good young men with a good sense of direction. The men need it and can benefit and so will the women as a side effect from it.
Rogertex on tuscl famously said to me that sex is a beautiful thing. I like to remind myself of that. Because it's true.

Do you feel the need for speed?Back in the late '90s I got a first generation turbo Eclipse (DSM) up to 140 mph sustained on a long stretch of empty I-71N heading into Cleveland. I still have my early 5 liter fox body mustang. I've never driven it that fast nor had the desire to. Fastest I've been in the last 15 years is maybe 95 mph, including in a Jeep Wrangler hard top.
