Not just $75 for one song but "a one song dance *without taking their top off* was $75." WTF? That's outrageous. I can't see paying $75 for three minutes with a woman who, at best, is probably wearing the equivalent of a bikini. I had a chance to visit clubs in Richmond a year ago but based on reviews here on TUSCL, I just couldn't see the value. My comments are not meant to disrespect you, Busy201, just my head-scratching reaction to the club scene in Richmond. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit and found a way to stretch your dollars. That's smart. This is a very good review; thanks for taking the time to post it.

Great review, txSOONER, though it'd be *much* easier to read if you'd hit the enter key now and then to create a few separate paragraphs. Still, all the details are here, including prices for everything, which is exactly what we look for on TUSCL. I especially appreciate a review written from a woman's point of view, which is rare here. BTW, "Adjudicator" Arizona Turd Blossom (AKA desertscrub) is developmentally disabled, and writing "Club Ad" the only thing he's learned how to do on TUSCL. Ignore him, as most of us do.

Stuart Stevens, a very successful former Republican Party political consultant, says it's likely that Trump will be the Republican nominee in 2024 and DeSantis will run as his vice president. If they lose, DeSantis will not be blamed for the loss and will have an open shot at the nomination in 2028. If they win, Trump can only serve one more term, which makes DeSantis the presumptive Republican nominee in 2028. If, during his second and final term, Trump dies or otherwise becomes unable to serve, DeSantis ascends from VP to POTUS. Just posting this as someone else's observation which I found interesting, not something I am for or against.

Nice review, rugrat -- well-written and informative. Comparing this place to Follies, I don't really care that there's not any stage dancing; my only complaint is that the seating is just weird. The large U-shaped booths are in no way conducive to dancer-customer interaction, and especially not for floor dances. Supposedly, Vivide is a "night club" during the evening hours, and maybe this kind of seating is good for that, but if they'd rip out these large 10-person booths and put in regular booths, some high-tops and regular tables, and get rid of those bright TVs, I believe this place would be a much better strip club. As you say, they've got good-looking women, inexpensive floor dances, and decent-enough VIP facilities, so they've got a lot going for it.

I enjoyed reading it, and though I've made the trip many times (and wrote and posted my own version of a TJ/HK beginners' guide on TUSCL a few years ago), I still learned a few things from you. Glad to know your first trip was a success!

"Btw, what do you get by being a star/checkmarked joiner?" You get a Secret TUSCL Decoder Ring, which is really cool. If you wear it while reading reviews, just like magic all the weird abbreviations (like BBBJCIM, DATY, and CFS) are completely spelled out. Wearing one in the clubs also helps dancers know that you're a Verified and Certifiable Super-Reviewer, which opens all *kinds* of doors. 😁

Something tells me the club would know the answer to your question. Why not give 'em a call?

Nice review, slider0. I've been here twice when passing through, but it's been a few years. You said, "To the left of the stage, along the front wall are the couch and VIP alcoves." Both times I visited, I went upstairs for the (now old) 6 for $120 option, but you didn't mention the upstairs area. Do they still have that?

^ True, the weather can be shitty, but everything is relative. We are talking about what the weather might be like in late December just south of San Diego. Compare that to late December in Detroit or Toronto.

EmptyAngel, I agree with what others said above -- while the numbers of women working might be down a little during Christmas week, there will still be a decent number of attractive women to interact with. The last time I was able to get to TJ (from where I live on the East Coast) was December 28-31, 2019, and I certainly managed to have a good time. And ignore Arizona Turd Blossom, who has never been to TJ in his life and is obsessed with fantasies of wielding his fictional power washer and telling people what they should or should not do in regard to visiting strip clubs -- based on, I don't know, maybe nothing.

When dancers in the clubs ask me what I do, I tell them I am a working musician (which I am), which often leads to interesting conversations. Every once in a while, I get surprised by just how much they know about music. I have a Hawaiian-style shirt covered in prints of electric guitars, which I've worn several times while out clubbing. One time one of the girls I was talking to pointed and said, "Well, that one is a Les Paul, that one is a Flying V, and that one looks like a Stratocaster. Isn't that what Jimi Hendrix played?" I was blown away. She was easily 40 years younger than I am.

Shadowcat, I was just thinking about the Stooges' appearance in that movie (also a favorite of mine) as I scrolled through the comments here. That movie came out in 1963; the remaining Stooges had been retired for some time and looked *really* old, but it really slayed me when they popped up on the screen. Wasn't expecting that. So yes, I'm a big fan. There is a Three Stooges museum in the Philly metro area -- not far from a handful of strip clubs -- and if you're a fan, it's definitely worth checking it out.

Each of those lists has some real head-scratchers. To each his own, I guess. I did a quick count, and I've been to 18 of the "best" and 11 of the "worst." I was at one of the "worst" last Friday and will be visiting another one tomorrow. Says a whole lot about me, doesn't it. LOL
