Ok visit but could be better
Excellent, well-written review; thanks for taking the time to post it. As a club with the potential for high mileage, Vivide has its advantages, but it's certainly hit-or-miss, depending on who's working.

Maybe EB is kind of back
Great review, WowboyNE. I'm curious -- is it still $20 to enter the LD room every single time you take a new girl for dances? I wasn't 100% sure from your review. Years ago it wasn't like that, and it seemed that the change to charging $20 every time precipitated the decline of this club.

Pool tables in strip clubs.
Shadowcat, I agree that it's alright for clubs to have them if they have enough room. Even though I'm not much of a pool player, I enjoyed playing a few times at the old Mardi Gras in Atlanta with some of the girls -- who were topless while they played. I never really tried very hard to make good shots, which made the games last longer. Watching a pretty girl in just her g-string and heels, bending over to take her shots and letting her boobs hang free, was certainly a sight I won't forget. I remember the pool table at Follies all too well, which in that small club was a tremendous waste of space, so it was good when they took it out and put in more benches for lap dances. That said, it was not uncommon there to see girls playing pool completely nude. I never played pool at Follies, but one of my fondest memories was watching a tall naked black girl who, as she waited for her turn, was leaning against a post with her pool cue in one hand and with the other was gently rubbing her clit to pass the time. Yes, Follies was certainly one of a kind. So yeah, if the girls play in some stage of undress, I don't mind pool tables in strip clubs.

Best Livable Spot in the US for regular clubbing...
You said you're looking for a place with "a healthy club scene (with extras)", so that will guide my response to your query. For strip clubs, I love the Philadelphia area. *Lots* of different options (with and without extras), especially if you're willing to drive a little to neighboring towns/states. Atlanta, as you said, has lost Follies. I have been to many of the clubs there over the past 20+ years, but outside of a couple of clubs currently vying to be the Follies replacement (where extras may be available), most of the clubs are fairly low mileage. Atlanta's a great city, though. I have been there many, many times. I was in Pittsburgh once a few years ago (just pre-Covid) and thought the SC options there were few in number and not especially exciting (very limited extras). As you mentioned, Tampa seems like a good option.

Thanks for the well-written, informative review. I get to Detroit once in a blue moon, so I keep up with the reviews of clubs in that area. I visited Flight Club a few years ago and had a good time, but especially these days, there are just too many reasons for me to choose to spend my money elsewhere.

I appreciate seeing this well-written review. Even though you couldn't remember all the details, there's still plenty here to help me make a decision whether or not to visit, which is exactly what I come to TUSCL for. Thanks for taking the time to post it.

Julia80920, pay no attention whatsoever to desertscrub -- or Arizona Turd Blossom, which is what I like to call him. He struts around like he's got the biggest dick on TUSCL, when in fact he *is* the biggest dick on TUSCL. It is a verifiable fact that more TUSCLers have him on "ignore" than any other member: https://tuscl.net/top40.php?id=11 But back to you and your review (which I approved as soon as I saw it in the queue of unpublished reviews). This is a great first submission -- much better than a lot of reviews by some TUSCL members who have been around for a while. You are a very good writer who comes across as smart, upbeat, funny, and a keen observer. A lot of us really love seeing reviews by females -- a rarity here -- and I hope you will grace us with more. You are a welcome breath of fresh air.

I went alone on my first trip and had an absolute blast. Since then, I've crossed that border maybe 15 times. (If I didn't live on the East Coast, that number would be *much* higher.) I've met up with PutaTester there a few times, but mostly I've just gone by myself. Jascoi and others have given you good advice above. For your first visit, stay close to Hong Kong, Adelita Bar, Chicago Club, which are all basically on the same block (Chicago Club is just around the corner, but it's like a three-minute walk from HK) and you'll be fine. Have fun, and bring back some good stories for us!

gobstopper007, you're right. The dance was $25 and I included a $5 tip because she was such a sweet gal, so giving her a 20 and a 10 was what I remembered. My bad.

Name Somewhere In The Continental United States That You Want To Visit
Well, gammanu, what you say is *not* a known fact. There is actually no such thing as the Continuous United States -- the expression you're reaching for is actually the Contiguous United States. And I know that. Now you do, too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contiguous_United_States The OP said the Continental US, and that was what I was going by. According to the Wikipedia link I just posted, the Continental US actually does includes Alaska.

^ Wait, gammanu95, how is Alaska not part of the Continental US? It's part of North America, which is the continent the US is part of. Anyway, I have been to 48 states and probably 50 National Parks or more. The only two states I have not yet visited are Montana and Alaska, and I would like to see them both. Glacier National Park in Montana and Denali in Alaska are definitely on my bucket list.

Good Afternoon at Sparky's
joker44, the two LD rooms on the back wall are pretty much identical. Large enough to accommodate two people, but not room for anyone or anything else. Each has a love seat and adequate lighting. The entry to each is behind a black curtain (at one time they each had a saloon-style swinging door), with one wall facing the main floor. That wall is solid from the floor up to about four feet; above that is open latticework to the ceiling, draped with a sheer curtain, which provides a fair amount of privacy. If someone out on the main floor stands at that latticework/sheer curtain and purposely stares in, they could probably see and/or hear what goes on -- hence my comment that privacy is not 100%. However, I've never seen anyone try to do that here. (What a dick move *that* would be.) So, as a practical matter, fun can be had, but, as I said, true extras are unlikely to happen.

Time to a strip club, what are the do's and don'ts
Something is fishy about this "article." It was just posted by someone who also just posted his first review on TUSCL. That review, of 2001 Odyssey, starts with this sentence: "First time at a stripclub, so take everything with a grain of salt, as I do not have anything to compare it to." Seems to me that if @USPS really doesn't know anything about strip clubs, he must have plagiarized this "article" from somewhere else. Further evidence of that may be that the article ends with: 16 Share Report Save WTF is that?
