Hey, jbowden. Maybe I need to stay later on Sundays. Sometimes I'll leave if I spot a dancer I don't like. The closing of 1245 is a mystery. I quit going there, but when I'd drive by they always had cars in the lot. The owner could sell the liquor license to another business. In Ohio, licenses can sell from $50,000 on up.

I'm curious as well why you're so adamantly against tipping. If you've already dropped $40,000 - $60,000 dollars in a year, why not give a reasonable tip for drink service? That being said, the club was wrong to escalate the situation like they did. I doubt if there's anything you can do. It's going to be your word against theirs.

That ought to do it for this club. There was another shooting earlier this year, and the city already was looking to shut Clutch down.

Out of 28, one has closed and three others became regular bars. That's not bad for NE Ohio.

LOL. Thanks, TheeOSU! I have noticed that a lot of clubs in my area won't hire dancers unless they're at least 21. My favorite story about 18 year-old dancer are two I met in 2004 at Diamond's in Canton. They were both still in high school and were satisfying a job experience program by working at the club. One stayed. One moved over to XTC to dance in the nude.

Wouldn't surprise me. West Virginia actually has more strip clubs per capita than any other state. They're not known for being terribly strict. I'd bet 18 is the legal stripping age. When I started clubbing in Ohio, 18 was the legal age here and still might be.

I actually know a retired dancer who is friends with her. I was having drinks with this girl a month ago when Alexis called. Small world. Still, I never had much interest in features. Years ago, I got some private dances from a feature at a nude club in Akron. It was her afternoon show, and the place was dead. She was a total bitch at first because the club (Flashdance Cabaret) was a dive, and she was pissed at her manager for booking her there. She eventually cooled down. It turns out, she was actually a pretty nice person.

I've seen fewer and fewer blondes in the clubs over the years. In some of my clubs, they're rare--maybe only 1 or 2 at best. I see far more brunettes and African Americans.

Great discussion idea! My first course is 1. If I spot a ROB, I always include her in my review. I mention her name and exactly what she did. Depending on the club, I might say something to a manager or to a dancer who's close to management who can pass the word on. If I see her again--well, it just depends what she did. Sometimes I'll point out how she tried to scam me previously and then tell her to pound sand. Most of the time, I'll decline dances without saying why or I'll be a total bastard and try to engage her in a long conversation where I agree to a $$$ VIP but say I need to run out to an ATM. Then I'll just leave and go somewhere else. I believe Option 1 is the best. Spread the word and cut off her income. It's been my experience that ROBs never change so they should be run out of the business for everyone's sake.

It was for Dreamer Girls. Their VIP rooms resembles a storage building where someone decides to stack up half a dozen cum stained old couches oozing two decades of STD's. It's blocked off with old curtains. Maybe they've even thrown up blankets now. This place is a dump that gives dumps a bad name.

In my area, they sit because: - They're lazy - They're lazy - They're immature and lazy - They're waiting to get off their asses at the beginning or end of month when the bills are due. We don't have many whales in my area or guys who pay to sit and talk, especially at the dive clubs I visit. I've noticed in some clubs I can grab a VIP with a dancer, drop a chunk of money and still have her ignore me and everyone else the next time I visit. I honestly believe that if you explained to these girls, and provided proof, of all the money and business they were losing they still wouldn't get it or care.

I work just a 10 minute walk up the street from this place. One of my co-workers was joking last week that we should visit to celebrate him getting a promotion. The area is pretty sketchy, even in the daytime.

Never had any luck in Columbus.

I work five minutes up the street from this place. I love dive bars and have been in black clubs, but I would never step foot in this place.
