    Very short hair on strippers
***"There’s a dancer at Palazio who had a buzz cut, but she always wore a wig when actually out on the floor. I don’t think that’s something most men would be partial to." There was a local dancer here who did the same for a while. She was gorgeous -- gorgeous face, gorgeous body -- and her wigs tended to look good (at least to a horny PL's eye, I'm sure not to other strippers). So I was tremendously attracted. Unfortunately the wigs started irritating her head or something, and so she started just going around in her buzz cut, which was a boner killer for me. For management also, I suppose, because they told her to put the wigs back on or vamoose. She vamoosed

    Arizona update
Mark: agree. Or for existing services to increase their sophistication. Right now, it's cumbersome to customize meals with Doordash and similar services. With these services transitioning from luxury to essential, it would behoove them to create a user experience where something like, e.g., a buffet meal could be delivered, or at least customization is quick and easy

    In the wind
"I will not shop at Costco, until you remove your mandatory mask rule"
From strictly a business perspective, not medical, scientific, etc: The last polls showed those in support of lockdowns, masks, social distancing, etc., drastically outnumbering those who were not in support. In fact, despite how vocal those not in support are, the number of people who think these steps HAVEN'T GONE FAR ENOUGH, actually exceeds those who think they've gone too far. Those protesting are by far a small minority. Business-wise, if you want the biggest contingent shopping at your store, you can pitch to 85+% of the population who strongly support these measures and risk outraging the under-15% who don't, or do the reverse. If you're Costco, the choice is understandable. I myself an currently supporting loosening the lockdowns and opening up more businesses, in proportion to the current situation of the local area (i.e., I understand why Yolo county is opening way up, and why SF county isn't). And masks in more hard-hit areas is something I strongly support.

What was the SC scene like back in the day?
Actually it's coming back to me that the girls were trying to establish $200 HJ, $300 BJ, $400 FS as the official exchange rate. But in da boof prices went as low as $120 HJ, $180 BJ, $250 FS, but there were also definitely girls holding the line as well. That's, again, late 1990s money. The PL contingent was split among MBOT PLs (high extras prices for hot girls), MSC PLs (low extras prices for meh girls), and CH PLs (more into GFE with Asian girls, not always extras hounds). Basically, fans of the other 10 or so clubs, didn't participate as much in online forums, and as clubs got serially taken over by DJV and corporate-ified, and the experience turned to shit in each one, there was less and less discussion online about them

What was the SC scene like back in the day?
Papi, when I started going to MBOT in '96 it was a funny mix of girls -- the strippers were smeared across the spectrum, from on extras all the way to FS and few beyond that (couple girls known to be open to anal, etc). By 2-3 years later, very few non-extras girls. FS back then was $300-$400. That's 2000 money, not 2020 money. On the other hand, we were all engineers loaded with stock options and could all afford it. That's MBOT; you could go to MSC and get FS for $100. But MBOT had, as I said, dayshift lineups that looked similar to Spearmint Rhino / Sapphire Las Vegas nighttime lineups, so the quality was outstanding. I don't know of many other clubs (maybe Mons at the time?) that had the combination of that quality of girls AND openly available extras in private curtained-off booths. You could get both CBJ and BBBJ back then, but CBJ was much easier to find. That said, I did not pursue BBBJs at the time, so there could have been much more of it going on than I was aware of. But I think the detailed reviews also showed that BBBJ was less common through 2002

"I clubbed in a number of cities in the 80s and 90s. The only place that I found extras was San Francisco. Mitchell Bro’s and others. It blew my mind what went on there," Mark, as I regaled earlier in the thread, I started hitting Mitchell Bros (MBOT) in '96. What blew my mind there was how incredibly beautiful the women were; we also had the advantage of not just the internet, but the most organized set of PLs in the country. And probably in history, the amount of detailed information shared on each girl (SF review culture has always been about the girls and the PL's personal experience, not the club, which is why I am sometimes a square peg here when it comes to what I want in a review) was incredibly extensive.

"How about a show like the View? A few of us sit around a table and bicker over current events. Every few minutes the dancers come in and dance - and we comment on their bodies and performances." Better yet, like Mystery Science Theater 3000. The dancers are dancing the entire time. You see a bunch of paunchy PLs in silhouette, making snarky remarks the whole way through.

Herd Immunity = give everybody corona & see what comes out of the wash
The theories have been that vitamin D -- which people have higher levels of in the summer -- is one of the factors in the flu pulling back in warmer weather, also. I don't believe this theory as ever been completely proven, despite multiple studies showing interesting correlation. I've seen papers discussing correlation with covid19 also. Vitamin D appears to regulate the cytokine storms that are what's actually killing many people. Some other interesting correlations, which further results coming: while people on immuno suppressive drugs are, predictably, also associated with much higher mortality, there is a particular class of immuno suppressive drug that only knocks out a portion of the immune system, and people on that drug might be faring very well. Theory is that that drug is knocking out the part of the immune system responsible for the cytokine storm, but not the other parts which fight the virus directly. If confirmed, it points to the use a class of easily-available treatments that target part of the immune system

Sates that are opening up the economy are extending this nightmare
We've flattened the curve, we've got our first medicine that's actually proven to provide a level of effective treatment (perhaps not available at scale yet), the number of tests available in many states is reaching levels needed, and the economy has been battered pretty badly; this IS the time to start opening up, as is happening nearly everywhere. For good or ill, states are opening things at different paces, and we'll see the outcomes soon enough.

What was the SC scene like back in the day?
I moved from Chez Paree to O'Farrell in '96, which is my start of PLhood. I remember I went to O'Farrell, and then the next day my two SC wingmen and I met for drinks, and they sat in silent rapt fascination as I recalled for them my first ever strip club extra (a handjob in the cabanas). When I was done me and my other buddy looked at my third buddy, who was a cop, for his approval of the safety of this seemingly reckless action. He gave it the thumbs up, "SF law enforcement does not give a fuck about that", and there were many high fives and tequila shots in celebration

Chez Paree, long gone, but used to be the center of the online SC world, back when alt.sex.strip-clubs was the only game in town. Eventually turned into Pink Diamonds, an urban-style SC, and if I remember right got shut down after multiple violent crimes took place there.

Agree, the hospital overflows and triaging who lives and dies has been avoided. We can't wait any longer. There's a drug that shows some efficacy against it already approved. Cautious reopening in phases where it's worst, more aggressively where it's not, is reasonable

You mean on a regular day, not going to the SC? $100 cash at most. That's "just in case" money. I get up to 4% back on my various credit cards, so prefer to use those whenever possible
