You mean on a regular day, not going to the SC? $100 cash at most. That's "just in case" money. I get up to 4% back on my various credit cards, so prefer to use those whenever possible

Agree with Subra - ~$100 for day to day - just in case.

At a strip club...a whole different story.

Similar to Subra & Denim. $50-$150 most of the time. Bump up to $500 if I feel like a big club visit. Use rebate credit cards (full balance paid monthly) for most daily spending.

Usually $0 when running around town on a normal day.

If I’m going out of town I usually have close to $1,000 for emergencies. One time I ran off the road in a snow storm out of town, had $50 on me and the tow truck driver that showed up to pull me back on the road didn’t take credit cards.. lesson learned

I used to keep 5 hundreds in the back of my wallet then maybe another 200 in 20, 10, 5's. Other than a club so few places will take a hundred that I quit carrying them. So now generally between 100 and 200 unless I'm going to the club

I’m never comfortable without at least $100 as just in case money and typically I carry $200.

$500.00 - $750.00. I prefer to make my robbers happy enough not to kill me.

Not counting clubbing - I take out $100 from the ATM and and stick with that till I'm down to $20 - in the past I've lost my $ being distracted - and losing $ is def worse than blowing it

Always between $150 to $250 and I replace after use at the next ATM of my banks that I see.
For clubbing, poker and shopping with my girls between $1000 & $2500. I only take $750 into club to start.

Emergency hundo on me at all times. An ounce of preparation is worth a pound of cure.

Plastic or phone for day to day

    Google "Credit Card" !!!
.... ok just kidding - you may have reasons to carry minimum 12 benjamins.
I assume you use them. For stuff like gas, buying gum, etc - so you are also collecting lots of 20s, 5s and 1s along the way.
That's makes a fat wallet. But I guess no credit cards.

About the only place I use cash is SCs & Weed and that is to keep it discreet. OTC dinners and hotels back to CC.

I play poker as a serious hobby so I rarely have less than $500 but more typically about $1000. Since this Covid calamity I have had $342 in my wallet and has never gone up or down. I have used plastic and when I have seen the one regular SB I see its sometimes a gift or pay pal but we we often are just meeting non-transactional as fuck buddies because we are both need sex.

I usually have at least $200 on me but since nobody wants to take cash anymore, maybe $20?

Usually $50,000 or $60,000. That way anybody that robs me gets scared shitless as to who I might be, apologizes, and gives it back. :-)

90% of the time I don't carry more than enough to tip at a restaraunt (<$50 depending on the type). The exceptions are when I going to a strip club, traveling, gambling or going someplace like a flea market that only takes cash.

(Btw I hate that TUSCL won't let you use the less than sign without truncating the post.)

A friend of mine used to be a teacher in New York City. He went for a walk at lunchtime one day and a group of guys sauntered up and asked him what time it was. In Mike's words, they looked at his cheap Timex watch, and then said, "Give us your money!" Mike emptied his pockets, all $1.35, lol. The leader of the group looked at the money, did a mental calculation of $1.35 divided among the five of them. He hand the money back to Mike and said, "Keep it, man. You need it more than we do."

LOL ... I'm surprised the thief could do the mental calculation like that. Either this was a long time ago or he didn't attend a New York City public school.

$40-50. I usually pay cash for expenditures under $20. Since the lock down I have not made any cash purchases.

BTW I have only written 3 check so far this year. My tax man who works out of his house, my dentist because they give me a 5% discount for not using a credit card and one to the small business guy that cuts my grass.

I've been robbed at gunpoint before at point blank range so unless I'm going to a strip club or bar I keep no more than $50 on me now. I prefer to use my credit card for any purchases over $25 since I get anywhere between 1.5% to 4% in cash back rewards.

I carry between $100 - $250 and used to go to the ATM every week. I only went once in April, zero in May so far. I am guessing that clubbing and haircuts were most (actually all) of my cash.

~ $200-300 on days not including a club; ~ $600-1000 on days including a club...... adjusted if there's a casino involved.

I usually carry $100-$200. I hit the ATM $200 at a time every couple of weeks. I spend it mostly at restaurants for lunch and dinner. My Amex has been scammed 3 times. Each time at a restaurant. So unless the bill is well over $50 I pay cash for food. In the last two months I have spend virtually zero cash except for takeout 3-4 times total.

When clubbing the goal is almost always VIP so I take a minimum $600 with me. I rarely spend even most of it, but you never know.

I usually pull a couple of hundred from the ATM at a time, and refill when under $20; except of course for club night. I've had as much as $800 cash in my pocket and still got stupid and put a champagne room on the credit card. Never got ripped off, though. I must be lucky like that.
