Well, some girls do want to sit and chat. It's just my prerogative not to since I can't drink anyway. I work at a club with a lot of ladies who have DUIs or have to blow into their steering wheel's breathalyzer thingie. Some girls will sit over drinks and some don't. It really just differs from girl to girl.

What Nina said, plus Slows BBQ and also Bucharest Grill on downtown. If you are a Reddit member, there are some awesome threads about Detroit food and a list of places to check out on the side bar of the Detroit subreddit. Just Google Detroit Reddit if you aren't a member. :)

I'm not a big fan of alcohol, so I don't and have never asked a customer to buy me a drink. If they offer I will usually get a jager bomb or just a simple Red Bull. Otherwise, I'm just happy making what I can through dances. That $5-$8 spent on a drink or a shot can be put to other uses as a tip from a dance(s) if the customer chooses to tip me.
Now if I am already at the bar trying to order and someone comes up and offers to buy my beverage, but not dance - then yes I still accept the free (to me) drink but I walk away afterward. I don't have time to "get to know you" nor do I want to "go out" with anyone who can't at least buy a few dances. Where would he take me to? McDonald's $1 menu?? lol
I am currently taking a nerve pain killer anyway, so I couldn't drink if I wanted to. And many customers seem disappointed when I just order Red Bull, but usually understand once I tell them why I can't drink. :(

I have (silently) agreed with Papi on several things, and especially this. Somebody please tell me this is a Christmas version of an April Fool's joke. Ugh.

"At my club, the rule is you must take your top completely off by the second song..."
But a lot of the girls we work with don't. I am guilty of doing this if it is early in the shift (5pm, 6pm) and there is one or two customers hanging out who are clearly not paying attention or are distracted with somebody else. So then, why bother at that point. If somebody walks in as a new customer, then fuck yes I take it off.
Other girls will slide their tops to the side or use the excuse of "they need to tip to see the goods". One girl will only pull one boob out with the mindset of "they look alike, so you only need to see one."
So, although there are signs in our locker room saying "you must take your top completely off by the second song," many do not.
I am guilty of sometimes sliding my top to the side if we are switching stages on a busy night. The Detroit City ordinance says you must have a top on while on the floor, which would mean half a song to put it on before leaving the stage while impatient dancers behind me are getting pissed off waiting and the girl ahead of me on the second stage is pissed off waiting for me to replace her. So I find it easier on busy nights to slide it to the side. With my luck, vice will come in while I'm moving between stages with my top off.

"Do they have two way contact lap dances in the clean Detroit clubs or just the extras clubs?"
Yes, but it is usually up to the dancer's discretion. My thoughts on the matter: why not touch and play with the boobies??

Why do you even care? Go worry about who's sucking your dick tonight rather than how much Nina makes. While a lot of girls were sitting around this past Thursday waiting for the Lions game to let out, Nina was in VIP. She banked that night and we made fun of the previous thread.
Nina, why have you not blocked him yet? Stop replying to him and feeding this madness. Go get ready for work and stop giving any fucks about this loser's opinion. See you tonight.

Here in downtown Detroit, Tigers, Red Wings, and Lions players come in sometimes. I've danced for two of the Lions players before.
When Metallica had their Orion Music Festival here in 2013, we had a LOT of famous band members come in from various groups (I was still new, so I wasn't paying attention to who visited).
Dan Gilbert of Quicken Loans and the Ilitch Family that owns Little Caesar's and the Tigers and Red Wings are big deals here (to normal not SC people), so we often get customers who claim to be family members of Dan G. or the Ilitch group and want to be given special privileges and "deals".

I must have missed where she stated her earnings. We all have our own individual goals though. At work, she keeps to herself regarding her income, personal life, and only chats with a few of us entertainers. She's actually very focused on customers and is frequently in VIP, so I don't doubt she isn't a top earner. That's all I have to say on this topic though.

I work with Nina and am also a clean dancer. Though I can't contest to her income, I can confirm she is a clean dancer.
And this type of personal attack is quite immature, senseless, and says a lot about your character. Give us something worthwhile to read rather than attacking dancers for their choices.

In my experience from auditions at clubs in Detroit, the staff knows what is going on in vip. They will always say it is a clean establishment, and the house moms are usually the ones who provide condoms to the girls and tell them how to clean up vip, etc if doing extras. Everybody knows, but none of the extras girls ever talk about it to staff for obvious reasons. But for a staff member to say that is definitely unusual.

He is indeed very full of himself. He is also well protected with personal security. Some girls hate him and some suck up to him and try to get as close as possible to him. I've heard of him taking his dancers out on dates at restaurants and then back to his place or a hotel. Not judging him at all. If I were a male with his monetary power, I'd try to bang each of the hot girls, too.
Unfortunately I only saw the first two episodes though.

I wasn't. I was more shocked that he had actually posed the question risking that I might be undercover vice. We all know what goes on at most Detroit clubs.
Also, yes shootings happened all of the time here. However, shootings in Greektown/Downtown are very rare.

Luckily my manager is willing to let me lie on my resume when I decide to find something else to do. She said I can say I was a door girl/hostess/shot girl and use her as a reference. Dancers with agents can pretty much do the same thing with resumes, too. Agents supply employment verification and housing verification.

The new mayor of Detroit wants to prove to the public that he is "cracking down", so Vice is raiding clubs twice a year now. I worked at the newly opened Scores on 8 Mile and spoke with the head of vice and he said some clubs will get three visits per year. A dancer's first ticket is basically just a $200 fine/warning and charges are dropped (speaking from experience). A second ticket means the charge will stick though. Patrons and customers are ticketed for touching customers (again, from experience). Vice squad calls them "inspections" to make sure we have our cabaret licenses and there are no warrants out for any of the staff. Other than this, it's just a way to make more money from us.
I do see how they would visit Venus more frequently though given that it's basically an open brothel that happens to have poles. I've said before though that most clubs do have "raid lights" in their vip area. Dancers usually don't know about them or where they are, but all of the clubs I've worked at have them (I always ask).

I worked at Scores when it first opened. Their raid lights are located underneath the seats and I think they glow red during a raid. They are only turned on during a raid though. Coliseum is an older building, so maybe they don't have them installed, or the light in the vip was out? Who knows. My club has strobes for raid lights.

Most of the Detroit clubs have raid lights in the vip rooms. They'll either strobe white light or turn a different color when a raid is happening. Valet alerts the dj who will activate the raid lights.

It's only $175 (with all clearance checks and the card itself). Not $300. It takes about half a day because you need to go to three different locations.
Some clubs will let you work without one and "loan" you the money to get one. If you need info about where to go and how much money to bring to each location, pm me for the full details.

I asked this question at work once. My manager told me they price them so high because strip club liquor licenses are typically double the amount of "normal" bars. They use the excess amount to pay for the liquor license and stripper tip out fees usually go toward bar renovations and cabaret license fees.
