Even when the dancers aren't up to par Shimmers is still a decent place to drink a beer because of the generally laid back vibe. I did have a kid threaten to kick my ass here once because in his words " what the fuck are you looking at" because I glanced in his direction for about 2 seconds. Luckily for him his friends pulled him away and took him home. I'm not a tough guy or anything but he was falling down drunk so 100% I'd have knocked him out lol.

Sounds like the kind of place I'd go if I was super drunk and looking for entertainment over busting a nut. Honestly some of my best bar memories have been at gay bars. One thing you have to give the openly gay guys credit for is they know how to party

Solid review, covered all the key points. Thanks. Might have to brave a trip to downtown to check the place out. No chance I'm buying dances with dancers I don't know with a $110 minimum. Watch the rotation through and off to the Eastside lol.

One thing is is very helpful at this time is updates on Covid restrictions. Covid info is helpful to even those of us who've been to a club 100's of times in the past.

I've been here a few times and the few details given here are pretty consistent with my visits. I'd say just read a few other reviews to get a idea of what details people care about

If you want better looking dancers in the Seattle area try Dreamgirls or Sands. Dreamgirls is a larger club while Sands is probably the smallest club in the state. If your looking for quality dances and aren't to picky about looks Pandoras dayshift is a good bet.

I know Scrub gets a lot of hate on here mostly deserved but his comment here is spot on. If I wouldn't have to take a $15 a hour pay cut to move I'd be out of the west coast. These covid restrictions are really getting old

Thank you for the review. I'm planning a trip to Portland over the upcoming holiday weekend and plan on hitting up a few myself. I've been to pretty much every club in town but it's been close to a year so updates on Covid policies will be very helpful.

Washington clubs are pricing themselves out of the market. $22 cover and $40 for basic lap dance with some even trying to charge $50 for topless. I get it if the dancer looks like Megan Fox in her prime but lets be real most Seattle area strippers fit more into the "meh she's cute I guess" category. Sorry but I'm not spending that kind of cash on a 6 or a 7 when I can get a bj on Aurora from a 6 or a 7 for $60 without paying a cover charge or having to wear a mask.
These clubs and dancers really need to consider lowering their prices to a reasonable amount or they're not going to make it.

$50 topless dances lol. You can get a bj on Aurora Ave from chicks better looking then those on the Pandora's dayshift for the cover plus 1 dance at that price

$50 for a lapdance lol. No wonder the clubs are so dead. These ladies are pricing themselves out of the market. I remember back in the day of $20 dances there would be a line to get in at some of the local clubs, now there's like 10 guys. If they charged a reasonable amount they'd make a lot more

The "would you like to buy the lady a drink" hustle is one of the quickest ways to get me to not return to a club. It's already $40 per lapdance and now you want me to buy a $10 soda for every girl that sits down next to me that I don't want a dance from as well? PASS!

same story here as Ricks, Don't bother showing up before 10pm. Post covid though it seems like Ricks has the better looking dancers, many of the Vu dancers look like they put on 40 pounds during the shutdown. Dakota still looks hot as ever though but not really worth a visit to see one hot chick. Hopefully a few dancers have gotten back into shape since my last visit probably pretty difficult selling $40 clean lap dances when your 5 foot 3 and 40 pounds overweight.

This is a night spot, don't bother coming here before 10pm. After 10pm the place fills up quite a bit and has by far the hottest dancers in the Seattle area imo. It's a good club for watching the stage and maybe buying a lap dance or two on your way out before calling a lady off TNA or driving 99. I have been offered extras here before but it's pretty rare and way over my budget

just my own opinion but lake City Vu is more of a weekend night spot to watch the show, throw a few singles around, and maybe buy a few dances on the way out. if your going in the afternoon your better off just going to Pandoras.

I think I'm just going to stick to the VU owned clubs. Not as many extras but the dancers are better looking and rip offs are rare. There's always TNA or Aurora ave if the job didn't get completed anyway lol

Got one more club to stop by and review now that it's open. Lake City Vu will come probably Sunday or Monday. After that I'll have reviewed all the local clubs that are open besides the Dancing Bare So I'll be taking a break unless I decide to really slum it lol.

Stopped by last night (Saturday) and besides a few more people since it was a Saturday My review would have been nearly identical. Only thing I'll add is they were by far the most relaxed on the mask rule of any club I've been to.

Never dated a dancer while she was dancing but in my younger years I dated both a girl who used to dance and one that ended up dancing after we stopped seeing each other. Both were crazy lol. I actually ended up buying a dance from my Ex just for kicks though. I'll give her credit it was pretty good

Never have, never will loan a dancer money unless I know her in real life and not from in the club. I have however had a dancer try to return a Tip I gave her. She tried to hand it back saying I overpaid. I told her it was a tip. I ended up spending thousands on that girl over the next few years Thanks in large part to her trying to hand me back that $20. I knew she wouldn't rip me off and she was rewarded for it. She's long retired now though.
