The Playground proves to be a good late Tuesday visit
Courtesy of TUSCL, I knew it was possible this rebranded club was open. I happened to be in the área and decided a late stop after a night of drinks was a good opportunity to test the re-opening. There is parking to the south of the building, which on this night was wide open. I approached the door with some trepidation due to the absence of cars in the lot, but could hear the music booming thru the walls, and the juices began to flow. Pulling open the door and wearing my mask, I was surprised to find no bouncer and freely entered to see the single stage to my right. An attractive AA was dancing in front of two patrons. Three other dancers awaited in the wings. I would find 4 quickly became 3 and I was unable to grab a dance with the attractive dancer leaving the stage.
Recovering from my disappointment, I was told I could sit anywhere not signed “Do not sit here”. $10 cover, $5 drink or a bottomless drink for more $$ but given my late entry, I had no interest.
I watched one attractive brunette dancer in glasses do her 2 song spin, top off, earning some tips, but no more. She offered a dance which I declined as I had just sat down. A tall, carmel skinned AA named Shani followed her stage. As she came off, she stopped to say hello. Squatting by my side, we chatted before I suggested she get more comfortable, at which the waitress quickly appeared and suggested I “Buy the Lady a drink”. Considering our good banter I agreed to do so, for a modest $8, which turned out to be a good decision. Shani proved to be a fun conversationalist and was open to light touching. After enjoying some convo and laughs we agreed to try a dance. 1 became 3 and given my satisfaction could have become many more. We had the dance area, which is semi-private, all to ourselves.
