Downtown Portland was less comfortable to walk around at night than Seattle, but Club Rouge wasn't far from my hotel and the streets were quiet. There was a food cart on the corner that was still open near midnight after I left the club that had good, fresh french fries. I was charged a $5 cover when I arrived a bit after 9:00pm on a Monday. My bottle of water was $3. There was little to no masking inside.

The interior of the club was nice, with a good layout for watching the stage. There was one large stage in the center of the room, with two dancers performing on either end. Seating surrounded it, with comfortable chairs next to small tables. One side of the room had large "window" spaces that reminded me of displays in a red-light district. Instead of windows these had mirrors in them, and at least one had a pole. The window ledges often had dancers there, though they didn't have an official rotation like the main stage. Between the two dancers on the stage and the frequent appearance of dancers on the side, there was always something to watch.

The stage performances themselves were good, with dancing and pole work. Tips at the stage generated some attention and in at least a couple of instances some brief lap dance action. The dancers generally got nude during their two song sets. There were 15-20 dancers, so with the quick two-dancer rotations on stage I saw dancers appear more than once.
