Techman, only topless on stage in both clubs, at least while I was there. I had come to the conclusion that I’d do VIP or nothing on my last night in LA, so did not ask about lap dance costs.

Good thing I had my time at the Mons in a previous life. Don’t think I’ll be revisiting any time soon.

As Minnow noted, LT’s of 35 or so years ago was quite the joint. We used to occasionally drive up there from Baltimore just because it was so much better than anything we had on the Block. My first visit, the place was completely jammed, and a dancer sat on the edge of the stage, spread Eagle, while a PL went down on her. Blew my naive 80’s mind!

My info above is incorrect. Silver Criket has a $10 vip tax for each visit. My apologies.

Nearly all the upper end suburban Detroit clubs have enacted a vip tax. At Flight Club it’s $25, BT’s $20, Silver Criket, $10, one time charge w a bracelet.

Pretty accurate review. 390’s owners significantly jacked up prices on everything from drinks to VIP rooms following the reopening from COVID. Dancer quality and LD mileage vary wildly from girl to girl. Wednesdays, in particular, are mostly best to stay away, as although the nude dances are discounted from $30 to $20, a recent song timing exercise revealed song length was also cut from the normal 2.5 mins to about 1’50.” Not much of a deal, and a 5 song, $100 stint with a dancer goes by quickly. The club is still holding up decently on Fri snd Sat nights, but is largely a ghost town on day shift and weekday evenings. It could be so much better with proper and enlightened management.

Three of the four most popular west suburban Detroit area clubs have all gone to a $20-25 “room tax” for each individual visit to the VIP for LD’s. $20 @ Flight Club and BT’s (Dearborn), and $25 for Landing Strip, the latest to adopt this expensive practice. Silver Criket in Dearborn Heights charges $10 for a room, but gives a wristband for return visits, so only a one time charge is made.

I forgot to mention that the Criket does charge a one time $10 fee to go to VIP. You receive a wristband on the initial visit, which is good for the entire stay at the club. My apologies for not listing this cost in my original review.

Electronman, understood & agreed. Likely the one dancer that appealed to me was simply not a provider of extras, and I did not partake of any dances with others. I still did not appreciate the clear uptick in frivolous charges at BR’s though. Trying to recoup their Covid losses, I suppose.

I decided to take the advice of Tail Caser since I was in ATL this week. Battled the Friday afternoon bullshit traffic on Piedmont Road, finally arrived at 2:45 pm. Not a single car in the lot. Not a soul around. No sign on the door. No answer at the phone number listed for the place here on TUSCL. A complete, time wasting strike out, on a beautiful Friday afternoon. For a minute, I wondered if the tragic shooting across the street at the spa had anything to do with it, but Tattletales a couple doors up the street was alive and well. I left pissed off. Just a heads up to anyone else hoping to try out Platinum’s day shift, and I hope you have better luck than I did.

Sorry, ninth telling Chris & Company of your dissatisfaction won’t matter. The dancers are all bitching about it too, as their rents all went up, both day and night shifts. Management of this club has always been shamelessly greedy. It has and will continue to cost them business, but very few strip club managers I’ve ever encountered could get through a simple economics 101 class. The good thing is that Covid gave most customers a whole year to get used to not frequenting the club anymore.

Unless something has changed in Michigan that I’m not aware of, all the clubs in the state remain closed (as they’ve been for two months) through Feb 1, per the governor’s latest extension order last Tuesday.

There is absolutely no way a dancer should be allowed to charge money for that kind of performance. Anywhere.

That is, unfortunately, par for the course in Northern Wisconsin, Papi. And with the state experiencing a triple digit percentage increase in Covid cases this past week, who knows what’s next.

A very thorough review of your experience at FC. Having been a patron of Flight Club literally since it opened in the 80’s, I can relate to and verify every bit of the information you shared. It’s always interesting to fear about a club experience from the perspective of a female visitor, especially of she is also a dancer. I am not at all surprised about your disappointment with the dancer you called “Thai,” as I’ve had similar experiences with her in the past. Many others have as well.
FC is definitely an expensive place, all times of the day or night. There are no price breaks For food or drink on day shift, other than the lack of a cover charge before 7 pm. The food is very good, though, and the drinks, while steep, are not watered down. Not surprisingly, FC started increasing its prices across the board since reopening from the Covid shutdown, presumably to try and recoup some of their losses. The crackdown last year on other popular clubs located within the city limits of Detroit also had an influence on what FC figured it could get away with. Still a worthy club, with good talent and selection, but I am simply not able to visit as often as I used to given the dent it always makes in my wallet.

LS has always been a bit of a crapshoot when it comes to what to expect from dancers. I have had totally awesome experiences there, but s as Lao have run up against a few dancers who would do very little for the cost of an LD. It’s my belief that the girls less willing to a least provide a decent dance either don’t last long at LS, or decide to “loosen the reins” a bit and offer a little more reasonable value for the money.
