Appreciate the review. I honestly don’t see how SC’s can keep going in this environment. Incoming revenue has certainly been seriously eroded, almost unilaterally across the country, if the clubs are even allowed to be open at all. Same for many other institutions; hotels, restaurants, museums, entertainment and banquet venues, etc. it seems the “new normal” is that nothing is to be normal again. Not sure where it will lead, or how much we will lose prior to if/when an effective end to the virus will surface.

“The Hustle,” by Van McCoy. At Le Chambre in Detroit, mid 70’s. Beautiful young blonde’s perky boobs jiggled perfectly to the beat of the song. Never forget it.

The “dance cut” on Wednesdays and from noon to 6 pm other weekdays at 390 is actually a shameful 1 min 30 seconds. 2:30 is the NORMAL song cut for $30 nude dances. It never gets any better than that at 390, and the $20 dances don’t amount to much in terms of value. If you ever want to hear more than the first verse of a song, don’t go on weekdays!!

I love all women, but especially moms. In most (not all) cases, something very special happens to a woman when she becomes a mom. For the first time, there is someone more important than anything else on earth, including herself. That circumstance has a profound effect upon a person and the way they approach life. I never consider it a negative to find out a a dancer is a mom.

I did not realize getting up from one’s seat to go to the stage and tip a dancer $5 was an insulting gesture. I will take heed of that in the future and refrain from doing it in the future, since I was the only one In the club who did so during her two song set.

March 6th, in Columbia MO of all places. So just what in the hell is everyone doing during this unprecedented time? I guess if you're married or have a long time live in girlfriend, you're ok for regular sex. But if you don't have a partner, then WTF? I'm in that "elevated risk" category, so I am very hesitant to hook up with someone for OTC, even though I have several numbers and it's certainly been a practice in the past on numerous occasions. It's a rhetorical question that I sadly know the answer to; I will simply have to wait for this shit to ease up. Isolation is not that great for the human condition, though, and I wonder what things are gonna be like on the backside of all this. Just keep washing my fucking hands, I guess...

Flight Club can spoil you, and I get it. But the exorbitant costs Allen has determined he can charge have definitely driven me away from what used to be my "go to" club. I used to regularly drive nearly 300 miles to spend a usually satisfying evening at FC, but no more. Not a Bogarts or Henry's fan at all, but I have found Landing Strip to be a better choice for me, at least most of the time.

The bouncers and floor hosts at Polecatz are mostly all shitty. Day or night. The Champagne Room at this place is easily the biggest waste of big time money in all of Chicagoland. They will sit right there and stare at their pervert monitor and come interrupt you on a regular basis, for next to no reason at all. Did one once, but never again. Girls, club and fool are OK. Management practices are not.

Had my share of "Whoa!" SC experiences, both good and bad. And been at it a long time. One of the most memorable was way back in 1984. (Told ya it had been a long time...) I had been to a handful of clubs in Detroit, and a couple in Cleveland & DC, but back then they were all relatively tame by today's standards. Then an associate from our Orlando office and I had to meet with Tampa Electric. After we finished our contact there suggested we go out after work. It was about 5 pm or so, and he took us to a place called Mons Venus, which I thought was funny in itself. But when I got inside, and my eyes slowly adjusted from the harsh Florida sunshine to the interior darkness, I stood motionless with my mouth open. There were girls everywhere, all along the perimeter couches, writhing away O n guys, getting totally manhandled. And they were all NUDE!! There were three on the stage spread eagled before a ring of mongers with the goods a mere inch from their faces. I turned to my colleague and said, "We've got to get the FUCK outta here!" He looked at me with a puzzled grin and said "Why?" I immediately replied, "Because you can't do this shit in America!" Having been there before, he just laughed and said, come on, let's go find a seat and get a dance. In my entire life, that was as close as I've ever gotten to an LDK. It was simply unbelievable to me. Now, I fully realize Mons Venus has become more passé as the years have gone by, and other establishments offer more "bang for the buck" nowadays, but in 1984, to a boy from Pennsylvania, it was the absolute BOMB! Never will forget that first visit. Made many more afterward, even getting transferred to Tampa Bay several years later, when the Mons, 2001, Thee Doll House and a long gone club called the Tanga Lounge damned near bankrupted me. Ahh, sweet memories of youth.

Strip club operators very rarely are cognizant of or give a rat's ass about potential customer preferences, or ways to spur growth. There are too many things we all hate about them to come to any other conclusion.

Detroit strip clubs
With the "Topless Prophet" suffering big time at his other City of Detroit clubs, there's no question he is looking for FC to carry the load. Most recent reviews note with dismay the sharp increase in prices on everything from cover charges to food & drink purchases, the $20 toll for every visit to a VIP booth, and dancers' general aloofness or even outright cold behavior. I've been a faithful customer at FC for well over 30 years, but it is no longer my go to club. I always tip the stage dancers I like with $5, but on a very recent visit not a single one (I tipped 7) came by afterward to see if I'd like a dance or say thanks, even though I was sitting right in front of them at the bar. I called it quits after an hour, and headed over to Landing Strip, where my experience was the exact opposite. EVERY dancer on stage that I tipped came over to follow up, and I had very satisfying and reasonably priced VIP sessions with several. Somebody at FC would do well to wake the fuck up.

Two years is an eternity in the life cycle of a strip club. Dancer turnover, management turnover, local government and ordinance changes, et al... each can have profound effect on a club. Hell, two years ago in Detroit, the Penthouse Club was generally considered to be the "go to" SC in a region known for good clubs. After a new initiative by the city to close adult entertainment venues down, today it is completely closed.

Off again on again PL
"Notes to Management" always crack me up. Not only do most strip club managers fail to ever consider taking common sense steps to increase customer satisfaction or experience, I'm convinced a lot of them routinely compare notes to determine what actions are most effective in driving customers away. No one has ever accused a strip club owner/manager of graduating from Basic Business 101 class...

At one of my regular haunts, the owner like to monopolize a group of the most attractive dancers, either for himself or to impress his friends. He doesn't tip or pay them for their time, but it's implied that if they don't cooperate, things will be made difficult for them. His general attitude is that it's his club and he will do whatever the fuck he wants.
