BT’s Executive Club, Dearborn... Post Covid Monday Night
I recently visited three suburban Detroit clubs. This review and experience summary is for BT’s Executive Club in Dearborn. Frankly, I am not pleased to present a lackluster review of a club I’ve literally patronized for over 35 years, but it is what it is.
I arrived at 7:45 pm on a Monday. I did not utilize the valet, but rather, parked in the free City lot across the street to the east, as many do. The entry fee was $20 (on a Monday!), easily the highest of the three clubs I visited. Temp check taken at the door. Sat at the bar, with a good view of the stage. There appeared to be about 5 other customers, including one that sat with 3 dancers in a booth. I ordered a vodka & tonic, which was $15. An attractive brunette dancer, “Athena,” was on stage, and I tipped her $10 with a request that she stop by the bar after her 3 song stage set was through. She was one of 7 dancers that I was able to count during my early evening visit, the cutest of all of the total group of performers that were in the 5 to 8 range. She worked the club’s 5 to 11 shift.
She honored my request and came to sit next to me at the bar. I asked if she would like something to drink and she said water would be fine. I ordered her a bottle, which was $7.50. We found some common discussion ground, since we both grew up in Metro Detroit, and had a decent conversation for a few minutes. I asked if she would like to do some dances, and her immediate response was “just one?” I assured her I rarely, if ever, do just one dance, which seemed to ease her apprehension that I would not be worth her time. Apparently, the club has substantially raised dancers song fee’s in the post Covid era, while Michigan clubs remain under both reduced capacity and business hour constraints. Clubs are required to close at 11 pm. She then agreed to go to VIP with me, and we left the bar.
