I went into Rose City Strip around 4PM on Friday afternoon. It's a big place, well decorated with the bar straight ahead as you walk in. There's a stage to the right and (I think) two more stages further back. They also have several pool tables. There are upholstered chairs at the tables and at the rail. The place was surprisingly busy for an afternoon. There were probably a dozen guys there when I walked in and maybe a couple dozen more arrived while I was there. I got the impression that many of them new each other and the girls quite well. This afternoon they had four dancers doing three song sets. There was no DJ. None of the girls were particularly friendly and none of them made any attempt to sell private dances. They were: a dishwater blonde amazon with a gorgeous smile; a petite blonde with lots of tats (lots even by Portland standards) - she was also really good at the pole; a leggy brunette who was quite standoffish; and a tall leggy black girl who kept her turtleneck sweater on the whole time, though she pulled it up to show off her boobs. All of them removed their bottoms during their sets, some quite early. None of the girls appeared to be surgically enhanced. Since none of the girls were particularly friendly, I finished my beer ($4.50 micro) and left.

Went in on Tuesday evening around 8PM. They have three stages and were running two of them. There were probably two or three dozen customers and a dozen or so dancers in a variety of shapes and sizes. None were overweight, though a couple were a bit on the curvy side. Breast sizes ranged from mosquito bites to huge bolt-ons. I didn't see any dancers who appeared to be over 30, and most were very pretty. Wait service was slow when I got there, though the bartender apologized for the service and said something about having to deal with some drama that occurred shortly before I got there. Later, the two waitress were making regular rounds so I suppose my initial impression was an anomaly. Micro brews are $4 "regular" domestic beer (e.g. Coors) are $3. I saw several people order food. Stage dances are done in a two song rotation. Most of the dancers seemed pretty bored while dancing on stage. Several didn't bother to drop their bottoms. That could have been due to the minimal number of guys tipping at the rail (never more than three or four, often less). On the other hand, maybe half the girls offered at least minimal contact at the rail with a couple giving mini-laps for a tip and a couple more offering boobs in the face. The DJ the night I was there played songs in their entirety and also played a short (30 seconds?) bit of interlude music between stage sets. One of the girls told me that the club's other DJ cuts songs short and that I was lucky to be there on a night when private dances would be longer. SS? Could be. The private dance area is three couches sectioned off from each other and separated from the room with a gauze curtain. There's a horizontal bar over the chair for the girl to hang from or support herself while she stands on the couch arms. Dances are $20 per song.

Management appears not to care whether they sell anything from the bar or not. No waitress ever appeared to take my order, although the bartender spent much of the time I was there roaming the room doing who knows what. Stage sets are two songs. There were half a dozen girls working that night including two very pretty girls, one surgically enhanced and one natural; two or three with that "faces of meth" look; one energetic amazonian suicide girl; and one Snookie clone. One of the girls smelled as if she hadn't bathed in several days. Several of the girls offered a little contact at the rail including one who repeatedly flicked her nipple across my cheek. One guy got a mini-lapdance at the rail, apparently by tipping four or five dollars per song. Several girls asked if I was interested in a private dance, but there was no hard sell. My overall impression was that none of the girls except, maybe, the amazon wanted to be there that night. I left after the rotation completed without sampling the girls or the beer.

Went in around 5PM Sunday. There were two girls trading turns at the pole and half a dozen customers sitting at the bar watching football. Other than that, the club was empty. Craft beer was $4 for a pint. The bartender/waitress was cute and appeared to be in better shape than either of the dancers. The dancers were both cute, but they seemed a bit bored. At least one was under 21. She apologized for not being able to sit with me due to liquor board rules. I asked one of them about lap dances. She lost the bored look and enthusiastically ran down the list of options. Air dances are $20/song. Contact dances are $40/song or three songs for $100. Both are nude. There are more expensive options too, but I wasn't paying attention.

I hadn't been in a strip club in years, but I found myself with a couple of hours to kill in Eugene last evening and I found The Silver Dollar Club on the web. Cover was $5 at 6PM. The place was nearly empty. One table had a mixed gender group of four or five. There was one guy at the tip rail. I sat down and expected a waitress to show up to take my order. No such luck. After watching a couple of girls dances I went to the bar to get a beer. The girl behind the counter said she'd have to go find the bartender to draw me a beer. They have a nice selection, but don't appear to want to sell them very badly. I didn't see a single waitress the entire time I was there. Beer was very reasonably priced. The craft beer I ordered was less than I would have expected to pay at a brewpub. I took my beer and my ones back to the tip rail and started feeding ones to the dancers. The girls were all "girl next door" types. Athletic bodies, and I don't think any were surgically enhanced. Stage dances are a two song set. Most sets (70%) were full nude. The rest were topless. About half the girls were very friendly. Most of the rest appeared to be enjoying themselves. One appeared really bored. Several girls offered private dances. Not pushy, but just letting me know that they were available. One offered a massage. I begged off on all offers due to time constraints, so I can't offer a review of that service. I've read that this place offers shower and tub shows, but I didn't see any evidence of it. All in all it was a pleasant way to kill a couple of hours.
