Oakland is a very dangerous city that most people should avoid especially if you are of not certain minority groups (wink wink). I think it’s even odds between the A’s ending up in Vegas or the field (another city). There is still a huge funding hole for the Vegas facility and construction has not begun. I have seen various pundits think they will end up in Utah since they have pre-approved public funding for sports facilities given SLC was selected to be an Olympic host. Utah Soaking A’s!

There used to be an older, very tall Russian dancer at Mitchell Brothers (closed now) that would literally pull customers out of their seats (no sales pitch, just brute force). If you pulled away from her with some decent opposition and gave a firm no, she would let go. However, I recall many overly polite folks would at least get dragged towards a dance booth

Dancers may be better at answering this than customers. I remember some popular clubs have unwritten limits on the number of girls that are not the classic definition of beauty in the US (thin young white girls). Of course hiring practices may change over time and vary by shift manager. 4Play (Los Angeles), Bourbon Street (Phoenix) and Mons Venus (Tampa) are examples I can think of.

This used to be a great place 10+ years ago, but the dance prices were $60/song back then. They had roll calls online and some of the hottest girls in SoCal (think Victoria Secret/Playboy quality), but it went downhill in the early part of the '10s. In the heydays, I never paid for extras except for FS once; I think the high dance prices made typical extras expected for most. I haven't been back in the '20s.
