"It's also a brilliant fucking idea..."
Except for getting thrown out. More altitude possible from a bus than a traditional Detroit club.

Steve, I can handle the metric system. Dollar coins, in addition to the pennies, nickels, and quarters, adds too much mass to the pocket. Too much additional stuff to sort through when drunk, too! Soccer?! Kind of an irony, in a country where we pride ourselves on space (McMansions, acreage, etc.) the sport with the largest footprint, or one of the largest, is the least popular at the pro level.

Had a stage-tipping conversation with a server at a Canadian club. She insisted the $5 bill should be given. I kept mine. And not much stage-tipping was in evidence at any club I saw (yes, there was some, but not on par with an American club).

"The naked women draw the men in, says Diablo, which, in turn, means they will learn to love vegan food." Next stop for The Booty Bus: opposite Caso Diablo. Just add on a bbq!
"... while the dancers take absolutely everything off and are instructed to sit on customers' laps." How do they get around Portland city ordinances?!

When the team sucks, bring on the strippers. Now that the team is winning, Booty Bus be gone!!!
Founder probably already knows about it, but couldn't come up with a consistent address in order to generate a listing (LOL).

One of the club's dancers acknowledges it's bad and recommends a better club a short ride away.

I don't that's all bad, Art. Likely will be much cheaper than to roam the clubs in search of the perfect lapper.

Sorry to hear about this, Art. I hope the pilots had life insurance so their families are taken care of. Even then it's pretty tough to grow up without a dad or to be a single parent.

Art, that's true. But, the Republican frontrunner, Rick Perry, made headlines for stating if Bernanke to print any more dollars would be treasonous. That sentiment likely clipped Bernanke's wings yesterday when he elected to go the twist route. So he'll likely wait until things get sooooooooooooo bad that he's given political cover to crank up the presses. The seniors living on fixed income will just love him then.
Fyi: I still had $260 in Canadian dollars left I didn't exchange until today. Supposedly it's $1.02 U.S. now, but Bank of America only paid me $.92 on every Canadian bill I had. So basically they screwed me out of an LDU!
By the way, nice of Steve to own up to his financial moonlighting here. He is, as I recall, the father of the LDU metric. [Adam Smith: Wealth of Nations; John Maynard Keynes: Treatise on Money; Milton Friedman: A Monetary History of the United States; Steve229: the LDU].

Steve, your fortitude is amazing! Though I must concede if you're a regular it could work out. A club I was in recently took $30 house fee from a dancer per shift. Dances were $20. However, gals were willing to discount along the lines of 2-for-$30 to get the business. My point being, I don't know if The dreaded Moon is the same, but potentially as a regular & known quantity to the dancer, you could stand to benefit handsomely. The like club I was at, I think a regular for a gal could probably get dances at $10 a song. Why? Because at that club $20 is a bit pricey for the clientele so the girls have to sit and schmooze with the customer to raise the value of the experience for the customer beyond just "Wanna dance?" But as a tourist, which was the scenario for my Moon experience, it was overpriced ... and then there was that formulaic *special* which really isn't much of a deal at all.
So, here's to hoping you're getting dances there for 50% off!

I think The O'Farrell Theater in San Francisco is the highest at $60 per song for a dance.

Fear The Paper Moon in Springfield, VA. Too high of prices -- but they got this really crappy special to make you think you're getting a good deal when it's a pretty bad deal. Save your money.

That was on the return from my first trek to the Toronto clubs. I got asked a couple more followup questions before being allowed back in.
Most recently, border guard took a look through my luggage and trunk before letting me pass. Fortunately no secondary inspection.
In general, prices quoted in the Canadian clubs are higher but can be negotiated down. If not, there are generally plenty of other gals present to try.
Sorry to hear that, Art. Maybe it's a by-product of our unemployment problem here? We create jobs by hiring more government workers and they have to find something to do.
Vince, I say that and I'll get a rubber glove full body cavity exam for sure ...
Jack, I think it has to do with the brevity of a Windsor trip entails. If they suspect your stay was sooooo short such as to fit the profile of a courier, then I can see why they'd detain you and perform an extra search. I was in Toronto for a few days which doesn't fit the courier "time is money" quick trip profile.

JP: WHY on Earth did Bogart's ever hang that giant wall mirror in the VIP?!? In more recent times they've covered it with black draping... but before anyone up there could see what was going on in addition to the dancers watching from the stage (due to their elevated height.)

Or head to Detroit. The folding chairs are back at H8S. No more built-in benches. Must've been bad for business.
That said, I'd favor Toronto now more. Some ITC extras in Toronto clubs but it's legal (and I got the feeling relatively commonplace) for you and the dancer (during her shift even) to go to your hotel.

VW, from reading the reviews, day shift sounds pretty good. It's the late-night shift one needs a flak jacket for.
