Oddly enough Fidelity is a family owned business. Being in that industry what I have found since the pandemic is that the call centers are routing to peoples living room. I deal with Schwab , Fidelity, BNY, and TD Ameritrade all daily. All of them have call centers working from home. So maybe that has cut back on the 24 hour service

over the past 100 years the SP 500 has averaged 10.8% so if someone used 8% then that is probably fair after inflation. Once you have the million dollars at 65 you have to turn it into an income stream. Conventional planning says to draw down 4-5% annually so that the money will outlive you. Therefore you would be drawing 40-50k in retirement... Not nearly enough money.
My two cents.... horrible plan

I have 18 employees and I do not keep track of vacation or sick time. If they need the time take it but make sure your job gets done. I started doing that 20 years ago and they seem to love it and so far no one has taken advantage
