one night i met a fabulous svelt blonde dancer and spent considerable quality time with her. she was very engaging and as it turned out, both of us were foodies. we compared notes on fav dinner spots and i split with happy thoughts and tented trousers...the next night i was at dinner with my own SO at a favorite SE hangout when who should walk in but the fabulous svelt one in a very brief green sun dress. as wonderful as her work garb was, nothing could possibly compare to her dinner attire, and, oh how she worked it...there was not a breathing guy in the house that failed to spot her. g-strings are swell, but give me a stylishly worn little rag anytime...

watchman - sounds like one of your hotbuttons may be interpersonal injustices. i am certain that many of our wives know that their men go clubbing occasionally -(mine does). She dismisses it as a "guy" thing that she just will never totally embrace. that's fair. on the other hand, it is just plain silly to be clumsy about our stuff...and that is what we are all chuckling about.

I've had it both ways. some nights i can disapear to the back of the club and be happy with an ale and a lot of eye candy. other times, my lap is a very popular place and i end up with a lot of really good ideas from my favs. it's all good at the club.

i'm married, been that way for 3 decades. my wife knows about my "out for a beer" nights and doesn't make a big deal out of it if i don't. once in a while paybacks are hell, but what's fair is fair. i go to clubs for non-committal interactions with a variety of gorgeous women. something to do with spice and life, i suppose. maybe its the relatively innocuous stimulation on several levels all at once that appeals to me...but more generally clubs are where i go to lay low and blow off steam...not likely to run into any clients there (although i once ran into my daughters principal).

dancers (to their credit) generally know that making a connection is a good thing, and they do try hard. generally, my best experiences have been when they chat me up, but then also listen. linear, one way discourses actually bore me. its good for them to remember that we are often there for escape, not reminders of our own day-to-day bs. its fair for us guys to reward the dancers that get it. it becomes survival of the fittest.

great ideas here...and one that works for me - lightweight backpacking pants w/ inner liner and zip off legs...tenting is a bit of an issue, but this is perhaps the only venue where i don't give a rip.

ok - the best times for me were when the dancer fit my physical ideal and slowly/thoroughly/creatively massaged me physically and verbally to reveal my desires. I love hearing "oh, he must have liked that". Per my previous post, a big part of this is that you select customers that you are drawn to in the first place. After that I strongly suspect you will know what works.

judyjudy - its really a surprisingly simple proposition. actively and physically listening to your customer will almost always lead to a mutually agreeable transaction (once you have learned how to select your patrons). I suspect your intuition will guide you to your answer. Oh, and then there's the norms of the club you work - not the state laws, but rather the tangible lay of the land...does the housemother hawk over you, did you tip him sufficiently, what time of day or night is it? But, all of that is much to analytic...the answer to your two part question is "yes" and "stuff happens".

1976 - Eureka, California - just graduating and traveled north to visit an aunt and try to garner an interview with an architect. Aunt fell sick and dumped me on her boyfriend, a salty old electrician. I had led a very sheltered life in a llittle migrant farm town, and, you know, "I'd never ever kissed a girl before" and this old guy apparently had because we ended up on the waterfront at a very seedy joint with a dancer named treila...several drinks later we were all best friends and my "escort" for the evening was working treila to do a late night "photo session". Seems they knew each other from some previous time and tonight didn't work out because of some boyfriend, but my eyes had been opened. Upon my return to college while unpacking, I found what was then at least a shockingly revealing photo of lovely miss treila (thanks cyrus). First strip club intrigue.
