They never tell you what you need to know.
I was in Raleigh-Durham, NC this past weekend. The county there (Wake County) has put a mandatory mask mandate back in effect for indoor spaces. Enforcement seemed spotty however.

This isn't Saigon. This is Phnom Penh. Has anyone here ever seen The Killing Fields? The fate of those left behind in Afghanistan, particularly those that cooperated with the US and other western nations, is more likely to resemble the hell of Cambodia after its fall than that of South Vietnam. One was bad. The other was a least several magnitudes worse.

Cam Neely scoring his 50th goal in 50 games (44 games actually) in 1994.
BC beating Clemson at Clemson in 2007 on a Matt Ryan bomb with about 3:00 left and a spot in the ACC Championship Game on the line. The fan experience at Clemson was just incredible as a whole.
University of Denver beating Maine 1-0 in the 2004 NCAA hockey National Championship game in Boston, with Denver killing off a 6 on 3 powerplay int he last minute (5 on 3 plus Maine's goalie pulled for the extra attacker). Craziest, most unique ending I've ever seen. Was very cool to see in person.

National building was never going to work in Afghanistan. We never should have tried. Allowing Afghanistan to be a terrorist safe haven didn't work either, we got 9-11 as a result. If we now allow it to become a terrorist safe haven again, then it is just a countdown until we have another 9-11. We should have maintained a limited, but possibly permanent military presence to make sure that the conditions that allowed Al Qaeda to thrive and plan 9-11 do not happen again.
The people we are fighting have a worldview that is completely incompatible with our way of life. The idea that if we just pull back and leave them alone that they will not seek to attack us is a dangerous fantasy. We can fight them there, thousands of miles from the USA, with people who are trained to fight them, and chose to serve, or we can fight them here with approximately 3,000 untrained commuters who were just going to work on 9-11. To me, that doesn't seem like much of a choice.

I agree, while at least no name was mentioned, this is still too explicit for the reasons others have stated above. A little discretion goes a long way.

I've watched quite a bit, even if I don't find it as exciting as I used to.

^^ actually, I forgot that I had been to the The Block once when visiting my college roommate when he was attending grad school at the University of Maryland. That was an experience. I remember us getting approached on the street by possible the most unattractive hooker I've ever seen.
I also recall being highly amused that the Baltimore Police Headquarters is literally right down the street. Baltimore is certainly interesting.

I don't know that I've ever been to a truly "dangerous" club where I felt unsafe, but the old Cheaters in Providence was definitely sketchy and I did see a violent physical altercation between dancers there once. It's no accident that place no longer exists.

I got vaccinated (Moderna) as soon as I was eligible. Once I was fully vaccinated, if I'm anyplace that does not require a mask (which is now most places), I don't wear one. There are a few places (some post offices, a Dunkin' down the street from my office) that still require masks, so I still always have a mask in my car in case, and if it is required, I wear it.

2001. Last year of grad school, had no Friday classes and a friend who also had no Friday classes headed up to New Hampshire to ski every Friday. I think I went skiing something like 35 days that winter. Was a heckuva last winter before the real world finally began.

I know I saw Nicolette on at least one of those trips. I've never interacted with her, nor do I have any interest.

I haven't been here in many, many years. That's not an accident. The former Foxy Lady in Brockton is a much better option. Providence is a much, much better option.
