Disingenuous histrionics combine the histrionic’s more adaptive social skills, charm, and ability to read the motives and desires of others with a rather calculated malevolence. This histrionic variant is more egocentric, more willingly insincere, and probably more conscious of their manipulations than is the basic histrionic pattern.

Keep it in my pants when I do OTC. If I were a stripper it would stand for I like big bucks and I can not lie.
Local clubs were dismal experiences BEFORE the pandemic.
At first I thought the question wasn't meant seriously. What's the point of going if everyone's wearing masks? Just to see some body parts of a masked women ? ay, kimosabee
Anyway, I'm in a high-risk group so NO GO.
What I read is that the kind of home-made masks people are wearing are meant to help prevent you from transmitting the virus to others from airborne droplets from YOUR nose and mouth.
They're not meant to protect you from catching the virus a N95 masks would help to do.

@dugan "joker, good job of partial research. Next time keep going until you fleshed it all out."
I understand, based on the number and content of your recent posts, that you're under quite a lot of tension.
Still, that's no excuse for fundamentally misunderstanding my OP. I'll take slow and piecemeal for you.
I didn't do ANY research, partial or otherwise.
NPR's Tim Mak did all the research and posted to his Twitter account.
I simply posted a copy of Mak's thread via RawStory.
Consequently, if you're *really serious* about your critical remarks you should post them to Mak's Twitter thread: https://twitter.com/timkmak/status/1251936242834563073
so that he, the researcher and author, can respond.
tl;dr: Put your balls where your month is and post your criticism to Tim Mak's Twitter thread.
PS: I'll refrain from any further replies to you knowing how much you enjoy fomenting conflict in order to distract yourself from some unpleasant emotions of the moment and gain gratification or amusement from the excitement and tension you help produce.

From 4/11/20 WHO investigates reports of recovered coronavirus patients testing positive again
https://www.businessinsider.com/who-investigates-reports-recovered-coronavirus-patients-testing-positive-again-2020-4?op=1
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/04/10/south-korea-reports-recovered-coronavirus-patients-testing-positive/
On Friday [4/10], South Korea reported that 91 coronavirus patients being considered for discharge tested positive for the virus again.
The director of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the virus may have been "reactivated" rather than the patients being re-infected.
It remains unclear why the patients tested positive after initially testing negative for COVID-19 — WHO announced Saturday that it would be investigating the reports.
False test results could also be at fault, other experts said, or remnants of the virus could still be in patients’ systems without being infectious or posing a risk of danger to the host or others.
"As COVID-19 is a new disease, we need more epidemiological data to draw any conclusions," WHO told Reuters.

Who could this be???
"The Disingenuous Histrionic
The disingenuous subtype synthesizes histrionic and antisocial features. [...] In the beginning, they make a good first impression and seem sociable and sincere, exhibiting such spontaneity and charm that others quickly lower their defenses. The combination of histrionic and antisocial features, however, makes the disingenuous subtype more manipulative than the basic histrionic pattern and for ends other than simple attention and approval.
Some members of this subtype combine histrionic and more psychopathic characteristics. These individuals combine the histrionic’s more adaptive social skills, charm, and ability to read the motives and desires of others with a rather calculated malevolence. Obviously, this variant is more egocentric, more willingly insincere, and probably more conscious of their manipulations than is the basic histrionic pattern. **They often seem to enjoy conflict, gaining a degree of gratification or amusement from the excitement and tension thereby produced. **

'I HAVE NO EXPLANATION BUT THE NUMBERS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES'
Top Israeli prof claims simple stats show virus plays itself out after 70 days
Isaac Ben-Israel, who is not a medical expert, says analysis worldwide shows new cases peaking after about 40 days, slams economic closures;
leading doctor dismisses his claims
From: The Times of Israel https://www.timesofisrael.com/top-israeli-prof-claims-simple-stats-show-virus-plays-itself-out-after-70-days/
A prominent Israeli mathematician, analyst and former general claims simple statistical analysis demonstrates that the spread of COVID-19 peaks after about 40 days and declines to almost zero after 70 days — no matter where it strikes, and no matter what measures governments impose to try to thwart it.
Prof Isaac Ben-Israel, head of the Security Studies program in Tel Aviv University and the chairman of the National Council for Research and Development, told Israel’s Channel 12 (Hebrew) Monday night that research he conducted with a fellow professor, analyzing the growth and decline of new cases in countries around the world, showed repeatedly that “there’s a set pattern” and “the numbers speak for themselves.”
While he said he supports social distancing, the widespread shuttering of economies worldwide constitutes a demonstrable error in light of those statistics. In Israel’s case, he noted, about 140 people normally die every day. To have shuttered much of the economy because of a virus that is killing one or two a day is a radical error that is unnecessarily costing Israel 20% of its GDP, he charged.
Prof. Gabi Barbash, Director General at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, and the former Health Ministry director general, insisted in a bitter TV exchange that Ben-Israel is mistaken, and that the death tolls would have been far higher if Israel and other countries had not taken the steps they did.
But Ben-Israel said the figures — notably from countries, such as Singapore, Taiwan, and Sweden, which did not take such radical measures to shutter their economies — proved his point. (He also posted a Hebrew paper to this effect on Facebook, with graphs showing the trajectories.)
When Barbash cited New York as ostensible proof that Ben-Israel was mistaken, Ben-Israel noted the latest indications from New York were precisely in line with his statistics that indicate daily new cases figures peaking and starting to fall after about 40 days.
Asked to explain the phenomenon, Ben-Israel, who also heads Israel’s Space Agency, later said: “I have no explanation. There are all kinds of speculations. Maybe it’s related to climate, or the virus has a life-span of its own.”
He said the policy of lockdowns and closures was a case of “mass hysteria.” Simple social distancing would be sufficient, he said.
If the lockdowns instituted in Israel and elsewhere were not causing such immense economic havoc, there wouldn’t be a problem with them, he said. “But you shouldn’t be closing down the entire country when most of the population is not at high risk.”
Asked to explain why the virus had caused such a high death toll in countries such as Italy, he said the Italian health service was already overwhelmed. “It collapsed in 2017 because of the flu,” he said.
Barbash, speaking after Ben-Israel had left the studio, insisted that “we’re going to be living with the coronavirus for the next year.” He added: “I strongly urge that we not let mathematicians — who know nothing about biology — determine when we lift the lockdown.”

"So, some liberal websites claiming to be unbiased fact-checkers say bad things about a conservative website."
"I think the crux of your argument is that the source is conservative so therefore the story must be false. If that’s your argument, I’m not buying it."
No, that is definitely NOT my argument.
The political perspective or bias of an online news source is SEPARATE from its journalistic credibility and its organizational transparency.

Since this is an 'old topic" likely to turn more political I'll PM you my remaining remarks.

I vote to KEEP separate political forum; most blog/commenting boards have a forum SEPARATE from their main topics for off-topic posts.
I also vote that founder NOT be responsible for policing compliance or moving posts wrt individual posts. Most members respect the division [ it might help if, as some have suggested, that there be a drop-down list of rooms/forums when Post Your Comment is clicked to eliminate accidental mis-posting]
The biggest problem is with commentators turning a vanilla front room post into a political flame war. My solution is to put these 'I must turn everything into a political fight' people on ignore. Periodically, I check on their front room comments and if they cease politicizing everything I take them off ignore; otherwise they stay on it.
However, as with every other discussion forum or website that allows comments some people will test the limits and deliberately break the rules. Founder should be the VERY LAST resort and only to ban/band these folks. Before that happens, members starting topics should freely use mute to suppress these politicizers. Other members put these folks on ignore. It also means *we shouldn't be messaging founder complaining* about member XX.

@Mark, I cited sources. You disagree but cite NO SOURCES for your 'opinion'
Challenge: Check out the websites of my 3 sources. Report back on what supports / doesn't support your opinion of them:
