I have always played the long game and don't rush to OTC. If I'm interested in a dancer I'll go 2 rounds per visit to the club. After 2-4 of these visits we've exchanged contact information. By this time some have already offered OTC. If not I'll bring up getting together. 90% of the time its a yes. Personally I don't think it's more expensive, at least not a tremendous difference. Rates between ITC and OTC are usually not that different. Some clubs charge a lot for private rooms and you can get hotels near that price; note a lot of dancers don't like to pay for parking so you need to figure out if you're going to cover that cost or go so far out from the city center where there isn't a parking fee. Some suburban hotels do a lot of wedding business. Since they know their guests will be getting ready for the big day, rooms have lots of mirrors.

I never really think about what the hotels think but I’m never OTC’ing with someone looking like Jamie Lee Curtis in Trading Places. I do avoid areas that have valet only parking because the girls hate paying and dealing with valets.

First “jobs” were all cash paying. Grew up around seniors citizens so I mowed their lawns, made tips at a country club on weekends hanging up coats, and painted houses. Acrop in Portland has been famous for their cheap steak and fries. Eating at this place is kinda expected. Seattle clubs don't have food service but I've had dancers share their lunch with me a few times. I did see some dude walk in with a brown paper bag and have his lunch at Pandora's.

I was getting some “extra attention” When the dancer and I noticed a group of two or three men watching us. She stops, goes over to them and tells them if they’re going to watch us they should pay. They all pull out rolls of cash and handed her a few hundred.

I’ve known several dancers who have told me if it’s her first time with a customer, the first dance is fairly standard. They say this is for two reasons. 1. They’ll start chatting with the customer and figure out if it’s a real customer or if it’s the authorities by asking some questions. Thanks like what kind of dances do you like? Who do you normally get dances from? 2. The gently want to get to know you a little bit. It’s much better than just a cold robotic transaction. This MO was so consistent at one time in the area. I actually asked the veteran dancer if this was part of their onboard training. It was yes. There were some veteran dancers who literally mentored the new dancers and this was part of the strategies they shared with them.

@bkkruined Seattle hasn’t been a tip the dancers city. Just not the atmosphere for it. Dancers keep most of the money they make. Each day they work they have to pay the club “rent” to work a shift. Amount varies club to club and when things opened post-Covid all the rental rates seem drop considerably.

Solid review. Kinda sad reviewer have to spend 1/3 of their review preemptively defending the layout and dance price information. Even when a place is new, oh and the layout information could be useful, it’s already on here for people to find.

For me, if I see a review that's 5 lines or less, it's rejected without even reading it. Longer reviews, I'll reject if there are a lot of spelling errors. Its ok if there are a few. We all make mistakes but too many get to the point of being unreadable.

Maybe this is pathetic but after arranging OTC 3 hours away, I've been able to plan business trips to go along with this 3 hour drive. This has allowed me to expense the mileage and hotel room. Actually a few years ago, the mileage rate was so high I could fly & rent a car for not much more money than driving.

I remember sitting in a club and checking out the stage dances. Most times it seems to me that the girls dance without any regard to the tempo. They have a routine they do no matter what song is up there. Then I see this girl up there working it to some old school late 80s jam. Digging her body so I start watching more intently. About 1/3 of the way into her routine she's bent over with her shoulder against the pole. Then she begins banging into it to the beat as if she's getting hammered doggy style. Most Seattle clubs have dancing starting at $20 but no girl is offering them; those days are long gone. Most dancers are willing for a flat fee until completion.

It was robbed about 1:30pm so only open a few hours. Perhaps that's why he only got 3k... althought $3000 in singles might be a challenge to carry.

Used to OTC fairly regularly with a dancer and she arranged OTC with a waitress for us to share.

@minnow some reviewers believe that rehashing the same information every time (i.e. entry fee, club decor, etc) is just filler and redundant. That info is already out there but if you can't see that, perhaps you have no business approving reviews.

Cover price, drink price, layout, and club description have been shared over and over again. I don’t share dancers names in reviews.

Not sure what costs peeps are looking for. I gave a spend range and then in the review indicated a few bills. Entry and drink prices in the club details so redundant in a review. Most girls will negotiate a flat fee but I’m not A fan of giving specifics.

Seattle club dancers aren't shy. Before going to the VIP area, just ask.

Tipping itself seems to have changed. Now waitresses seem to expect 15-25% regardless of their service. To me, tips will always be earned not just given. They are like bonuses for sales people.

Many dancers later tell me to pay them what I think is fair. Honestly I like it but I think some guys might be cheap and not give the dancers fair value. That's partly on the girl but still.

Only reason to get digits is to know she'll be working when you plan to visit the club. Never at my place. Hotel with an in-room safe. NOTHING of value is out in plan site. If it won't fit in the safe, its locked in the car. Place that I've used recently has an underground self-parking lot that requires a key to get in. First club I went to was in my home town and opened when I was in high school. Interesting the building had a pool hall on the front, and strip club in the back. My friends and I all talked about going into the strip club but none of them did until they were of age. Having a mustache at 16 and a bit of courage (not to mention Washington clubs don't serve alcohol so they didn't ID). I went it. Only place I ever visited until I moved to college and happened to drive past one of their sister clubs.

Two come to mind. I was getting lunch with a client and my boss and ran into a dancer. Just made eye contact but my heart stopped. My boss was very conservative and being in my early 20s I was pretty self-conscience. Funny thing was I talked with the dancer a week later and she asked me about it. She thought one was my dad so she said she just played it cool. Last year I was traveling and decided to stop in a strip club. Noticed a cute dancer on stage so I watched her for a while. When she came down on the stage and did her rounds, she eventually made her way to me. Turned out to be my neighbor's 19 year old daughter.

A couple clubs in the Seattle area added VIPs areas. This lead to much more privacy and many more dancers providing BJs and FSs. Both BJs and FS was available before these additions and dances were cheaper without the VIP area. Slower times in the club (weekdays early afternoons) were easier to get a good BJ. I think part of this was the manager on duty not caring what was going on.

Portland has some serious problems that the city isn't addressing. There is a young (early mid 20s) group that sees the gang images of the late 80s early 90s as cool or funny or at the least nothing serious. Mix alcohol and hormones with that and trouble is likely. It's very different compared to what was going on in LA. Seattle - Tacoma gangs laugh at those in Portland. Also those cities were dealing with the gang problems. Portland is not as aggressive not proactive. And as the saying goes, nothing good happens after midnight.

Best OTC for me was at clubs without VIP / private areas. I.E. the late great Rick's in Seattle I had met up with more girls OTC before they added the VIP than after. After they had added their VIP area, girls were looking to do private dances for some serious coin. But I could walk in, met a girl and arrange OTC right away Before, I had gone on "dates" with various girls and very paid for services. It did take more time to get a girl for OTC back then since girls wanted to know guys. Maybe that's just me.
