I'd say Swr60 meets the requirements for being designated a whale. Good review with many checkboxes checked. You just convinced me not to bother with 2 hr drive to this club. (License scan a deal breaker for me.)

A bit early for a "2amer". Kudos the the security guard who stopped the attacker. I went to club a few days ago (see my latest review), and kept this incident at the back of my mind for increased awareness of my surroundings.

I liked the review (I'm almost as tenured as wallanon). I enjoy your prose style ("charming as an eel", etc.) Although I've never heard the term Afro-Cuban before, I'm understanding it to mean that subject dancer looked much like an Afam. Some cubans are dark skinned to such a large degree as to almost pass for Afam. I encountered one at a FL club where I was surprised to hear she was Cuban.

Why don't you just write "gimme my f#^king 4 wks. VIP, and save the trouble of concocting a bunch of BS generalities. Many of your recent reviews are long on platitudes, and short on info.
How can you say spaceship is not worth it if you didn't even go up in it ? Any description of dancers ?

2001 Odyssey Tampa, ~1969. That was when the Futuro House that is the Spaceship was lifted by crane on top of the club. Joe Redner opened Mons Venus at present location in the early 80's.

Quickest exits off I4/I275: Gold Club, Scarlett's/Ybor Strip, "The Dale Mabry Trio", "The Westshore Ave. Duo." After that, I'm not that thrilled about going over the bridge, or CCCW to get to St. Pete or Pasco clubs. GKYSO.....

I guess tuscl is still in "WIP" stage, and waste a certain amount of time finding what I want. When founder mentions "next year" does he mean 1st week in January or "same time next year" ? Agree with sorting by last post, and no PM function yet. I'm OK logging in, but bringing up some functions extremely slow, posts unresponsive to clicking the like button.

Some hints for "Shakespeare Casey":
1) Tuscl is a paid subscription site- either cough up $ or write a useful review. Merely stating opinion without supporting information and pining for the old times isn't very useful to a 1st time Tampa visitor.
2) Read founders "A Refresher On How to Write A Good Review" thread a few months back. Also read my 21 Apr. 2019 Mons Venus review, (2nd Monday trip report) on example of squeezing more lemonade out of a lemon.
3) "Opinions are like assholes- everyone has one and they all stink." To that I'd add that opinions sans supporting data stinks even more. A good stating point would be to tell reader the type you're looking for, and a general description of dancers that you saw with their turnoffs. (Too many fake boobs, too much ink/piercings, too many fatties/anorexics, not enough blonde barbie dolls.....) Comprende ?
