My fav club is not what it used to be
I had not been to Mons in about 20 years. I used to live in Tampa and this club was my go to strip club when I was young and broke. I remember going into this club after a night of drinking at the Yucatan Liquor Stand. We would walk in with $100 and try to stretch every bit of it. To me, Mons was the best club in the country for the dollar decades ago. I used to love this club! The girls were that amazing! We would go to Mons to sober up and watch a club full of naked women on stage. There was no place like it!
As I was walking up to the club on this recent Saturday night, I noticed that the owner had put a new facade on the building since I had been there last. I paid the $25 to enter (it used to be $20 when I used to come here). As soon as I walked into the club I immediately noticed the closed off booths with curtains that I had heard about. In my younger days when this club used to be wall-to-wall with customers, there was absolutely no privacy and guys could watch your girl grinding on you in the booth. At the same time, as a customer, you could see every girl and how good of a dance she provided. Comparing it to the past, I actually think I prefer the club being wide open the way it used to be. I get what the owner intended to do by closing off the booths with dividers and curtains, but I think it was best the way it used to be.
Given the time of night and that there was a Bucs home game the next day, I was expecting the club to be packed and to be able to see a lot of girls. Sadly, I think I might have seen about 15+ dancers and I think only one booth was occupied. I circled the little club and tried to scope out the talent. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything that was my type and worth spending money on. I decided to head over 2001 and see what I could find there.
