r/stripper Is Absolutely Infuriating

I should probably stop reading r/stripper, it absolutely infuriates me.
Read a post where some dancer provides suggestions for "what to say in an extras club when you don't do extras." She cynically lists every BS line in the book to make a naïve customer think she does the extras he expects while careful to not make the specific promise, and then play innocent once she has sold the room and doesn't deliver. She even included several suggested lies about why she supposedly can't be specific.
Yes, I and most experienced mongers know better than this, but the sheer cynical deception infuriates me, remembering back to younger days when I excused this behavior as "innocent miscommunication". And yet, we don't consider this sort of behavior as technically "ROB" because of lack of specific promises. Maybe we are being too forgiving.
The only correct advice she should have been giving, and taking herself, is "find a non-extras club to work in where you belong, or else be honest with customers and accept that you're not going to make nearly as much money here as the competition." Instead she is encouraging other girls to further poison an already tenuous trust, to the detriment of both mongers and honest dancers.
You would hope this sort of "churn and burn" behavior would catch up with a dancer, giving her a bad rep and destroying her income till she learns better. Maybe they just keep changing clubs and cities to stay ahead of it?
So many posts there are full of this kind of shit

last commentI doubt anything said on r/stripper would surprise me. The tactics from r/stripper only work if we are negligent as customers, you admitted that. I trust one stripper in the world my sugar baby. I don’t need to trust them. Don’t fall for the tactics, ask for what you want and if you get anything other than a flat yes, don’t spend.
But nobody will say the have “anger issues” or call them out like they do with me but instead you guys condone their outlandish behaviour smh
A review of dancers at a club can undo most of that, without necessarily calling every dancer an ROB. A comment along the lines of “Demi lacked the capacity to engage me in her lap dance performance despite her pre dance banter.”
So what does r/stripper advise to respond if you say "how much do you want to fuck?"
Checked it out a couple days ago and a bunch of dancers were complaining that guys who wear thin sweatpants to clubs were disgusting. Oops! Lmao
@ Paw patrol
When I first got into this hobby. I wanted to wear special order stripper pants (so that I could LDK).
After a few years, I realized that wearing typical office pants is usually enough to get the full feeling. I have never LDK, I think it's a matter of finding the right type of dancer and I normally take a long time to finish.
@ I wantheronme
I agree with you, but it's still a trust issue. Yes, it's up to mongers to learn these hard lessons, but the fact that dancers are brazenly lying to patrons creates a stronger distrust in the industry. It also steals money away from dancers who actually WILL DO WHAT THEY PROMISE.
I have had to learn the hard way, and even with experience y
Even with Experience, you learn that deception is always evolving. The door vulture thing is still something that can catch me off guard. You always have to wonder "is she legit or is this another scam". I have found a few counters to this, but it's still a problem. I do agree that if she says anything other than "YES", it's a play to get you into the room
A stripper telling other strippers how to make money without doing extras at an extras club is no different than a PL on here telling other PLs how to get extras or OTC in a non-extras club.
"When I first got into this hobby. I wanted to wear special order stripper pants (so that I could LDK)."
All roads lead to the pants conversation! Lol
^^
lol. Comments like this make me wish for that “like” button again
@whodey Good point
@rockie provides the following uber burn post for TUSCL => “Demi lacked the capacity to engage me in her lap dance performance despite her pre dance banter.”
This rick loves the sentiment but finds the comment far too subtle. I mean really, one of the most prolific TUSCL posters is a weirdo that drinks strawberry Yoo-hoo while he jacks off to Grand Funk Railroad. Do you think that loser is going to get the subtle message? I don’t think so. ROAR!!!!
@Owlyoung_ggofv I like Nike Sportswear Club Fleece sweatpants. But pants alone don't make a good LDK. I also pop a Panax ginseng/Maca men's health supplement so it's extra sensitive. Then you have to find a dancer with a deep grind who doesn't get up. So much friction it's like straight up dry humping.
When all those elements line up it's magical. If she lets you control her speed with her hips... that's a CF right there 😂
===> "I should probably stop reading r/stripper, it absolutely infuriates me."
You need to learn to be less emotional. When dealing with girls in their underwear who are hustling much older and more affluent guys to pay their bills, a little manly stoicism can go a long way.
Yes, "caveat emptor" has real meaning in a strip club. The dumb/emotional get taken advantage of and the calm/savvy thrive. Sometimes a young buck has to make a few tuition payments before he learns how to navigate some of the pitfalls.
But this unfettered form extreme form of capitalism is also what makes these places so much fun for guys like us. How many of us make sure that we visit the club when rent is due? Or make our OTC pitch when we know the a girl is having a bad day/week? Or say that we're looking for a regular friend when really just want to get in a girl's pants on that particular night? Or do any countless number of things to achieve our own objectives?
In fact, some of my best historical favorites, who I was seeing OTC, were not above a variety of ITC hustles. That includes vague misleading sales pitches like those the OP mentioned, pity hustles, romance hustles and whatever else they thought might work when they had a live one. I just waited until conditions were ideal and made my own pitches, lol.
Welcome to the Jungle man!
What @rickdugan said. Chalk it up to the game, don't get your own panties in a knot over it. You'll win, you'll lose. Don't take goofy ladies in their underwear complaining on the internet seriously.
@op. I think you’re looking at it wrong. What you’ve done is discovered valuable intel and shared it with the board. We all know hustlers play games and lie. Now you’ve reminded us that they also use the internet to share their tactics. While I may frown on their dishonesty when they try it on me (sometimes successfully, unfortunately) now I’m more aware of their moves and I can strategize my own moves. Thanks for the good work 👍🏼
Are r/stripper and rickdugan in a trademark dispute over The System(tm)?
@whodey makes a great point. It's a game and all of us mongers who've been in the game for more than a minute have figured out our end of the bargain. Getting upset because of internet posts is silly; all contents should be considered a work of fiction
If you find it cathartic to be infuriated, by all means. Just got to be careful not to wear yourself out. The right or wrong of it aside, what your saying is, in a situation where a vendor is going to make either one sale or none, they should pick none. Probably would be hard to get more than a B in (non-Socialist) Marketing thinking that way. Maybe we should praise the strippers who would do the right thing, as opposed to being angry at the ones who would do the expedient thing. Light a candle, yada yada.
There’s a stripper industry IG account that is currently doing a “confess your unpopular opinions” thread. An interesting counterpoint to the Reddit thread mentioned by the OP. If you don’t know, unpopular opinion threads are threads in forums that go against the group think. Like if you posted on tuscl “I love making it rain” or “I love the big corporate clubs.” Some of these are pretty funny and/or illuminating responses from strippers about sex work.
Being out to friends and family as a stripper isn't worth it. I'd rather not know how they feel
I hate slingshots
Saying "if you can't hustle sober this ain't the job for you" is classist and ableist for so many reasons
if you're alt/big backed/just ugly then you shouldn't be complaining when you can't get hired @ good clubs. the closer you fit to conventional beauty standards the more $ you'll make.
new balance men aren't always good spenders (but they are sometimes)
Certain clubs should have stricter hiring guidelines
There's no reason to fuck for less
than $200. Sorry. Life can't be that hard
at most clubs doing pole tricks is more to impress other dancers than customers. Customers aren't tipping accordingly for pole.
Unless a reg says he's there for a certain girl it's fair game.
Victoria Secret sets aren't cute but men don't have taste. Tacky works $$$
We're not a team, idgaf about anyone but me making money. Not friends @ work
The reason ur not making $ in the club IS NOT because of other girls doing "extras.” It's almost always your hustle not being right for that environment/ customer
you shouldn't be doing any type of xtra in a single dance area. save it for the vip
I've always thought r/stripper was the heir apparent to StripperWeb. At least in some ways, such as their contempt for customers, blaming everyone but themselves for their hustle failures, etc.
I do believe that the one-liners and tricks about making non-promises about extras, that we all roll our eyes over, work on 90% of guys, they just don't work on veteran PLs.
Slingshot = i.ebayimg.com
New Balance man, I assume a man who wears New Balance sneakers. Used to be considered dad sneakers, I'm not sure if that's what's being referenced
Since the 80s, toned but not bulky muscles have become part of the mainstream beauty standard for women. I think pole work is good for that, as it requires strength, and is not low resistance high rep exercise. Their are customer who tip better for good pole work. We should be grateful for customers who are there for no/lower contact services. It enhances the plausible deniability of illegal things happening in a club. If you think dancers should be pressured to do what's emotionally distressing to them, kill yourself, the world would be better off without you.
I don't use the term slingshot thong since booty floss is more descriptive and more fun.
Most strippers work in low mileage, corporate clubs. Most clubs suck.
R/stripper very much caters to those strippers.
Yes, a new balance man is a customer wearing new balances. They didn’t say so, but I believe the implication is it conveys someone who values practicality and comfort over style. Therefore, not a good tipper “but sometimes they are.” Lol
^ LOL. I'm a literal New Balance man. What, are we supposed to dress for strip clubs like we're on a fucking date? I'll shower and put on cologne so I don't smell like Satan's ass crack but I'm not there to impress someone.
I haven't checked our r/stripper but that sounds like the female equivalent of "locker room talk."
I just perused the board a bit and it reminds me a lot of stripperweb. And like stripperweb, it seems to be populated mostly by burnouts and new girls - and very lightly populated at that.
And like stripperweb, it's best not to take anything the burnouts say seriously. I used to laugh at the reactions that some guys had on here to that site. Now I'm doing the same with r/stripper lol.
They can't even be honest with each other on that site. For example, a girl recently came on complaining that she wasn't making any money and asking if she should dye her hair. Skimming through her profile, it was easy to see why she was struggling. She's fat. I mean she needs to lose 50-60 pounds at least. But of course all she heard in that thread was encouragement to change her hair.
Hoe hum lol.
Gordieboy youre infuriated by dancers talking about how to make money without prostituting themselves. Go stick to trolling college bars with your creepy old ass
Didn’t Muddy (or another frequent poster) make a thread on here about posting feedback in R/Stripper a few months back? They were immediately met with disdain, scorn, and banned off of the sub.
The simple fact is that most clubs aren't like the wide open places in MI, S. FL, RI and a handful of other locales. And even in the extras-heavy places, YMMV depending on the girl.
But keep in mind that the same Wild West conditions that allow savvy girls to get away with misleading rubes are also what allow us to explore so many avenues of fun, if not ITC then possibly OTC. The club is basically an unregulated bazaar, lol. People who know what they're doing come out ahead and those who don't pay some tuition. And of course when two savvy people cannot agree on a suitable exchange, the everyone walks away whole.
Tbh this is what I love about strip clubs. We're all grown adults and if a guy doesn't have the good sense to be clear on the terms before he ends up in the back then that's on him. The same girl who dupes him today might be bent face first over my hotel bed tomorrow if she's still short on her rent. 😉
People put far too much thought into going out for beers and titty.
^On this I can agree with Ski.
I am one of those people, but that is a discussion for another thread.
"We're not a team, idgaf about anyone but me making money."
When customers realize that all strippers feel this way (all people, actually) they will do a lot better at sniffing out and avoiding the lies.
Whether a dancer or escort fucks for money is meaningless. You dont want someone mechanical, or someone who doesnt cum with clients, and has a bunch of restrictions.
If they scam you you can just beat them, or take your money back. Or go talk to a manager, explain the situation and get a refund, if the managers collect funds upfront. If you paid using credit card, just dispute it. It should be pretty obvious if a girl is scamming as soon as the dance starts. If you paid upfront for the dance you can go talk to a manager or just take your funds back from the dancer herself.
@puddy tat which cologne?
^ and you’re calling other posters misogynistic, your own morals suck. You’re going to beat her, bullshit
@rickdugan fair point, but i was just curious you always mention the bent over back term. Do you do anything else besides doggystyle with these girls? Cowgirl, or DATY, or BBBJ and kissing? An easy way to test for boyfriend pimps is if the girl doesnt allow DATY, or doesnt kiss lip to lip. Tongue kissing is a bit more complex because theres disease concerns and bacteria concerns, but if a girl doesnt even lip to lip kiss, its a 🚩, same with if she doesnt allow DATY.
Twentyfive most people would get violent in response to being robbed or someone attempting to rob. Nothing misogynistic about it
I’ve expressed my dislike for Reddit, in general, in other threads. I saw a post the other day that one subreddit will be implementing a new rule that if you upvote a post that later gets removed, you could get suspended or banned for doing so.
Wow, talk about overreaching moderation.
I know TUSCL is far from perfect. And over the years the trolls like SJG, Dougster, Scrub, and Icee had some calling for a lightly moderated forum.
Reddit is a perfect example why mods on power trips can be worse than trolls
I wonder how well that works considering that anybody can read their stuff including customers. And then you got older experience folks who can tell the inexperienced folks how the game works. At that point does any of these tactics work?
Motorhead: no one is getting banned for liking a post. Some mods are very heavy handed, since this isn't a political thread I won't name names. There also have been issues with the admins being heavy handed when a sub becomes too popular. The strip club and stripper subreddits are far far far away from that.
This is a non issue. The girls are there to make money snd youre a customer

I’ve never visited the stripper subreddit, but here’s the post I referenced. The last paragraph states a permanent ban could be issued for continued abusers if the upvote policy
Reddit Update: Reddit will issue warnings to users that upvote content that violates rules
Reddit is currently rolling out a new site-wide policy that we think is important enough to reiterate here.
From this point forward, accounts demonstrating a pattern of upvoting content removed for violating Reddit's Rules could receive a warning from Reddit.
www.reddit.com
According to the announcement:
"Starting today, users who, within a certain timeframe, upvote several pieces of content banned for violating our policies will begin to receive a warning. We have done this in the past for quarantined communities and found that it did help to reduce exposure to bad content, so we are experimenting with this sitewide. This will begin with users who are upvoting violent content, but we may consider expanding this in the future. In addition, while this is currently "warn only," we will consider adding additional actions down the road."
Now, this shouldn't be a big problem in our sub because we are quick to moderate our sub before things get too far. However, if you get a warning from reddit, it is possible that they move forward with a permanent ban from the site eventually.
