This is ridiculous. Have you ever actually gone to strip club? I've literally had dozens, if not hundreds, of strippers over the years, can't think of even one that was high or drunk. This is a tired, old stereotype.

About ten percent of American workers drink or smoke up at least once a month on the job. I bet it's higher in the restaurant business.

I've had more than one stripper offer me an edible or a hit from her pen. We have recreational marijuana so it's just kind of common here.

I've seen a few strippers who were drunk/stoned off their asses. One was so bad, she almost fell off a stage. Another, from that same club, you couldn't have a coherent conversation with. Sort of makes me wonder how much the club's culture might be at work.

As a general rule, no. Occasionally I’ll encounter a stripper who seems to be drunk or high on something (although some are just so flaky that they appear to be on something), but this would be the exception and always avoided.

I’m drunk while I’m at work, why can’t they be too? They’re not operating heavy machinery, performing surgery or caring for children.

It might have been more prevalent in the past. I’ve been to some where a lot of the ladies are high and having coke to share was better than money for getting TLC from the ladies. I’m mostly a day time monger now and don’t see it as much.

Several years ago I knew a lady that managed a strip club, I knew her from before she managed that club BTW. This was back in the day when there were actually several good looking dancers in the area, not like the fuglys that are mainly around here now. She told me that several if not most of the girls used drugs or excessively drank to cope with the job, her words not mine.
