Where can you report a club or other business?

Monday, February 13, 2023 4:33 PM
A dancer who also wants to beat me, bragged about getting my info from the club she works at. The club scans IDs. Here’s the odd part, the bouncers who scan it claim it just scans to check if tje ID is real and you’re over 21. An older manager at the club said the same thing. While a newer manager straight up told me each time the ID is scanned, the system takes a picture of the front and back. The manager claimed managers can access those details in the system. I never agreed and was never asked for permission regarding storing the information and taking pictures of the ID. Additionally im not sure if the info can legally just be given to dancers who ask for it especially as some dancers are violent or nutcases. For the same reasons customers shouldn’t be given info on dancers. So what can be done? The BBB seems like its just a review site that contacts the business for comments. They say they don’t handle criminal charges or legal issues. Is the FTC the best place to contact or where can you report a business for doing something they shouldn’t? Im not sure it’s legal to store info from IDs when you only tell people nothing is saved and the scanner is just checking if its real. I doubt dancers can legally be given info from the license either.

If you think they've done something illegal, contact an attorney. If you're right, you could seek an injunction against further sharing of the info. and perhaps get a court order requiring that they destroy the images. No federal agency is going to give a shit about the data retention practices of some shithole club and the police don't generally get involved in commercial disputes. You might get some traction with the state AG if they violated a state privacy laws, though you'd probably have to be able to prove that they gave the dancer unauthorized access to your information. Or you could just man up and stop behaving like a scared child. But I won't hold my breath on that one.

Did they forcibly take your id and scanned it? No. You gave it to the club, so nothing can be done. Also, dancers can easily get the info, all they have to do is just touch once the bouncers stick. lol. Just leave the matter easy and move on to another club.

Well im not sure if bouncers can access it. Bouncers scan it but its unclear cuz one managee totally denies that they even store the info while another admitted they take a pic of front back of ID but that only managers can access those stored images. They scanned the ID but the bouncer tells you its just to check if its real and the age. They don’t tell you or ask for permission regarding storing it or giving it out to other people. Rick is this something they could fire the dancer over for being a liability and bragging about getting customers info? So FTC is pointless, theres nowhere you can report bad business practices? What if you get scammed or ripped off by a business, nothing can be done besides credit card dispute and online reviews? Lastly how does it work if the dancer or some thug shows up at my house? I can call the cops, but doesnt the club or at least the specific person who gave her my address/ID info share some of the blame ?

I am not sure of the quality of people you are dealing with, but I once had a similar situation unfold with an escort. When she suggested that some friends of hers might pay me a visit, I told her to say goodbye to them first, permanently. That was ten years ago, her friends have yet to visit me.

Public Service Announcement (PSA) Moneyman1234 is just another cacaplop user’s name trying to swamp these forums with repetitive, stupid questions, either via his own threads or crashing other threads. But, as always, take a look at his posting history and judge for yourself. If engaging with his inane posts is fun for you, then go for it. Otherwise, don't think you're answering sincere questions. ~ [view link].Ishmael ~ April 29, 2022 “In this world, shipmates, sin that pays its way can travel freely, and without a passport; whereas Virtue, if a pauper, is stopped at all frontiers." ~Father Mapple via Herman Melville's "Moby Dick".

A dancer also don't want to get in to trouble unnecessarily, unless someone provoked their anger to extreme. You know better what you did to her, so you know the answer will she show up? or not.

Someone put up another thread where it mentioned one clubs manager was a 29 year police veteran. Why would a cop be working at a strip club? Makes you think he could use his connections to let the club off the hook for things? And possibly even allow them to do things like have bouncers attack people or have dancers rob or beat people?

this is the best to name the club. is it Rits Cabaret? or Club Fantasies or Good Guys. Name to club and tell the real story of what happened with dancer.

Option A: You can report it here. Reporting to tuscl is the right thing to do because now founder will forward it to sjg who will file an appeal with the organization. Following this and any required kinky bdsm/satanism rituals, and only within san jose library hours, there will be a 90 day comment and feedback period, followed by a convention of grand PLs (those with more than 30 years on tuscl) who meet in miami or maybe atlanta or something once every 8-10 years if everyone actually shows up, and with work with city representatives to sanction clubs that are taking away your FREEDOMS by scanning your ID and sharing it with dancers. Fines range from $40 to 3/$100. These dancers can run, but they can't hide. Option B: suck it up.

The club is good guys someone posted a different thread with a news article about the best dc strip club. It was a good guys article. Its not related to this scenario but that article mentioned a 29 year veteran cop working as the front end manager and how he had a “supercomputer memory” of guest names. Seemed an odd job for a cop to do after retiring?

Scanner systems have the capability to retain data. Given that capability, don't be surprised is people are using it. However, some states have scanner data protection laws. Oregon's is pretty good, for example. If the customer is not returning merchandise or using a credit card or writing a check, then scanner can be used to authenticate the ID but not store information. Check out your state law at [view link]

I have been to good guys. This scenario perfectly fits there. Thats why I asked is it Good Guys or Rits or Club Fantasies. So, I assume it is Rits Cabaret? Why I am asking is these are the clubs I frequent as well.

But what am I supposed to do if some weird people are parked outside my house? If something odd happens i know it would be the dancer or someone she knows from the club or whichever bouncer/manager looked at my info. It’s not just that they store it but apparently give it out to dancers.

"But what am I supposed to do if some weird people are parked outside my house?" Take a Mossberg 590 12 gauge shotgun that holds 8 in the tube, 1 in the chamber, and fill that car with 00 buckshot. Tell the cops the strip club story and you'll not only get off scot-free but they'll buy you a round of beers. (Note, dumbasses, this is entertainment and not legal advice)

A strip club shouldn't give that type of information to a dancer but it's unlikely you can prove anything. Women, especially young ones, like drama and I hate it. I've learned not to let women suck me into little personal squabbles and turn me into something like a character in their own personal soap opera. It's just so boring and such a waste of my time. If I were you, I would move on and forget about this and distance yourself as much as possible from the dancer involved. It sounds like she wants to get in fights with people and I wouldn't give her the pleasure of giving her what she wants.

Money Ape, my rickvice to you is to approach this problem the way a lion would approach it. I don’t get no lip from damn dirty apes because I’m a frickin’ lion. You need to find your inner lion my friend. Go into the place and clearly state what you want. If they don’t comply, look ‘em in the eye and say “is that your final answer wildebeest? Because I identify in my heart as a frickin’ lion, and I’m about to go all wildebeest on your ape ass. ROAR!!!” Now, the genius of this “be a lion” advice is that you do not have to make sure the “ROAR!!!” is convincing. It is great if you are a convincing lion. My life experience is based on being a frickin’ lion and lemme tell you something: it is frickin’ great. But here is the thing: if you aren’t a convincing lion they’ll think you’re a nutjob ape and they’ll treat you with kid gloves. It might help if you actually got a lion costume and wore it when you try this. Just sayin’. TTFN!

She is winding you up. She might have your address , she might not. Even if she did, she can't beat you up because she's a tiny girl in her underwear, and nobody else has a financial incentive to do so. Short of a Manson style thrill kill cult, this is a big nothing just living rent free in your mind. Have a drink, smoke some weed, get a nice handy from a different stripper, and stay away from this girl. You will be fine!

^ To be fair, Drew Ape, the sexy psycho female might have a badass boyfriend - maybe even a lion - that could become a problem. So, this rick says that the solution is for the OP to put on an act about identifying as a lion. If the psycho female is just trying to wind Money Ape up, then callin’ her out with a hearty roar will be satisfying. If she has a badass boyfriend - especially a lion, bear, or gator - said boyfriend will know that he’s dealin’ with an ape that identifies as a frickin’ lion. That’ll give some pause. Now, if her boyfriend really is a lion this tactic may not save you. But lion beats bear so that’ll work. And you only really need to worry about a gator boyfriend in Florida. Even in other parts of the gator range most sexy female hairless won’t date gators. And most Florida gators are all strung out on meth and really aren’t that much of a threat - unless you fuck with them right as the meth kicks in. Anyhoo… my advice stands. TTFN!

Mr Carey she could have weapons or get some gangsta involved to come after me, or even give some poor dude money to come after me. She acts like a gangsta herself, speaks like shes from the hood or trying to imitate some gangsta rapper. Women or shrimpy guys are just as dangerous as big muscular men

She could. Its very very unlikely. Whats much more likely is you overthinking this and spinning up paranoia and anxiety in your head. People do this every day. The original question here is about reporting this to the bbb or similar. If you're really worried about this, consider doing one of the following: 1. Call the cops, tell them you have a credible threat to your safety. 2. Call a lawyer, tell them someone is threatening you. 3. Call a psychologist, tell them you can't get this worry out of your mind. If you have excuses to not do even one of the above, you're not seriously worried. Fwiw I say this very sincerely. Unless there really is a credible threat, you have a problem letting go of the idea. Talking to a professional will help you work through the concern on your own terms and come to a reasonable decision. You will feel better. Take it from someone who has availed himself of this kind of professional help for obsessive anxious thoughts. Good luck, brother.
