Where can you report a club or other business?
A dancer who also wants to beat me, bragged about getting my info from the club she works at. The club scans IDs.Here’s the odd part, the bouncers who scan it claim it just scans to check if tje ID is real and you’re over 21. An older manager at the club said the same thing. While a newer manager straight up told me each time the ID is scanned, the system takes a picture of the front and back. The manager claimed managers can access those details in the system.
I never agreed and was never asked for permission regarding storing the information and taking pictures of the ID. Additionally im not sure if the info can legally just be given to dancers who ask for it especially as some dancers are violent or nutcases. For the same reasons customers shouldn’t be given info on dancers.
So what can be done? The BBB seems like its just a review site that contacts the business for comments. They say they don’t handle criminal charges or legal issues. Is the FTC the best place to contact or where can you report a business for doing something they shouldn’t? Im not sure it’s legal to store info from IDs when you only tell people nothing is saved and the scanner is just checking if its real. I doubt dancers can legally be given info from the license either.

No federal agency is going to give a shit about the data retention practices of some shithole club and the police don't generally get involved in commercial disputes. You might get some traction with the state AG if they violated a state privacy laws, though you'd probably have to be able to prove that they gave the dancer unauthorized access to your information.
Or you could just man up and stop behaving like a scared child. But I won't hold my breath on that one.
They scanned the ID but the bouncer tells you its just to check if its real and the age. They don’t tell you or ask for permission regarding storing it or giving it out to other people.
Rick is this something they could fire the dancer over for being a liability and bragging about getting customers info?
So FTC is pointless, theres nowhere you can report bad business practices? What if you get scammed or ripped off by a business, nothing can be done besides credit card dispute and online reviews?
Lastly how does it work if the dancer or some thug shows up at my house? I can call the cops, but doesnt the club or at least the specific person who gave her my address/ID info share some of the blame ?
Moneyman1234 is just another cacaplop user’s name trying to swamp these forums with repetitive, stupid questions, either via his own threads or crashing other threads.
But, as always, take a look at his posting history and judge for yourself.
If engaging with his inane posts is fun for you, then go for it.
Otherwise, don't think you're answering sincere questions.

Option B: suck it up.
Check out your state law at https://idscan.net/id-scanning-laws/
Take a Mossberg 590 12 gauge shotgun that holds 8 in the tube, 1 in the chamber, and fill that car with 00 buckshot.
Tell the cops the strip club story and you'll not only get off scot-free but they'll buy you a round of beers.
(Note, dumbasses, this is entertainment and not legal advice)
I can't fathom why anyone would read this and think "This should be taken seriously."
Go into the place and clearly state what you want. If they don’t comply, look ‘em in the eye and say “is that your final answer wildebeest? Because I identify in my heart as a frickin’ lion, and I’m about to go all wildebeest on your ape ass. ROAR!!!”
Now, the genius of this “be a lion” advice is that you do not have to make sure the “ROAR!!!” is convincing. It is great if you are a convincing lion. My life experience is based on being a frickin’ lion and lemme tell you something: it is frickin’ great. But here is the thing: if you aren’t a convincing lion they’ll think you’re a nutjob ape and they’ll treat you with kid gloves.
It might help if you actually got a lion costume and wore it when you try this. Just sayin’. TTFN!
To be fair, Drew Ape, the sexy psycho female might have a badass boyfriend - maybe even a lion - that could become a problem.
So, this rick says that the solution is for the OP to put on an act about identifying as a lion. If the psycho female is just trying to wind Money Ape up, then callin’ her out with a hearty roar will be satisfying. If she has a badass boyfriend - especially a lion, bear, or gator - said boyfriend will know that he’s dealin’ with an ape that identifies as a frickin’ lion. That’ll give some pause.
Now, if her boyfriend really is a lion this tactic may not save you. But lion beats bear so that’ll work. And you only really need to worry about a gator boyfriend in Florida. Even in other parts of the gator range most sexy female hairless won’t date gators. And most Florida gators are all strung out on meth and really aren’t that much of a threat - unless you fuck with them right as the meth kicks in.
Anyhoo… my advice stands. TTFN!
1. Call the cops, tell them you have a credible threat to your safety.
2. Call a lawyer, tell them someone is threatening you.
3. Call a psychologist, tell them you can't get this worry out of your mind.
If you have excuses to not do even one of the above, you're not seriously worried.
Fwiw I say this very sincerely. Unless there really is a credible threat, you have a problem letting go of the idea. Talking to a professional will help you work through the concern on your own terms and come to a reasonable decision. You will feel better. Take it from someone who has availed himself of this kind of professional help for obsessive anxious thoughts.
Good luck, brother.
