After 9 years my ATF moved 1200 miles away. She’s doing okay, but not too surprisingly came up short on funds for New Years’ Eve. She texted me asking if I’d send her a couple of hundred. 1. Of course in my opinion you should not “help” her, because you are hinting at the fact that is not worth to you what she is offering.
2. If you decide to go ahead and help, go ahead, but don’t enable. Helping her by giving her money is OK only if you are getting something appropriate in return and if you are willing and in a financial position to do so, and the money doesn’t enable poor behavior (drugs) and causes more harm than good.
I believe you do care for her an you are “in love” and because of that love you should be willing to let her go because that is what is best for her.

If she isn't an addict I dont see the issue helping her out if you really wanna.
