Nobody has a problem with BBS except some of us think that overtly offering services provided for cash doesn't belong on this site. Now, founder doesn't mind (i have ideas why) so I'm not going to harp on it but he might if there were 100 hookers all suddenly advertising. It’s one thing to state your own opinion, it’s quite another to tell someone how to run their business or their life. Harping on settled matters is on of the reasons for my second divorce.

I hate admitting it. But women with an abusive partner, who is abusive to the point it's even noticeable to outsiders, are usually there because they want to be. There is something inside of many of them that crave the drama. And if they are not actively getting abused, then they will start becoming abusive towards others in their lives.
The rules may be different in other countries that have harsher laws against women rights. But not as Americans. I'd advise to just look away and just be as good as a friend as you can possibly be, without getting dragged into her personal problems. At best, all you can do is encourage them with making strides towards personal development. Because they will save themselves when they are ready.
Well...at least assuming there are no children involved. Otherwise then the situation is dicier.
