  Initially, I felt the same way. But I think I'm okay with it, depending on the topic and thread. It's interesting to see the historical perspectives on a topic that is still relevant today.

  There's nothing on this forum as aggravating as stopping by for a visit and seeing that the creep from San Jose has bumped several of his asinine self indulgent topics that nobody is interested in or responds to yet he continues because that's his way of trolling the only forum that by his own words hasn't banned him.
  As far as I'm concerned that's the only reason he posts here, just to fuck with people.

  ^^^SJG bumping his own threads was the only reason I thought Founder shutting them down after 2 weeks was a smart move. You saw how SJG begged and pleaded with Founder to open them back up in every post he made afterwards. Sad part is, only he and the other harmful trolls make necroposting a bad thing.
  
  Twobits necroposts in old threads that at least have some interesting history so I personally don't mind it.

  @ TFP, Yes I remember that. I'm all for locking threads after a certain time period, say one month because the creep is brazenly abusing his privilege to post here.

  I agree Ish, that old threads can be relevant and interesting to revisit. As far as fishsticks and SJG, just put them on ignore. Its not like they ever have anything worthwhile to add to the conversation.

  For those of you so obsessed with SJG why don't you just put him on ignore as gammanu mentioned - your *constant* complaining is just as annoying and is a almost a form of trolling itself by continuously using board-space to complain about him and get into flame wars with him - it's as if you didn't want him to stop posting his stuff so you'd have something to complain/flame about - putting him on ignore is basically like he didn't exist yet some of you prefer to continuously keep up the flaming - what's the purpose? Complaining about his posts 100 times is of no use other than to flame.

  I’ve enjoyed some of the recent bumps too. Especially because it brings new discussion in on a topic that hasn’t been talked much much (recently).
  
  Plus I get the feeling EP is trying to crowd out a few other threads on purpose.
  
  What would be better though in your opinion? Just simply start a new thread about the old topic?

  I don't have anybody on ignore and don't intend to use it. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there and I do agree with some of the posters that ignore is basically the same as sticking your head in the sand. I prefer to be aware of my surroundings in my everyday life and online here so I'll be one of those guys that continues to bitch about the creep.

  So Papi, SJG coming into every LDK thread, every getting dances thread, shit....every single damn thread reciting the same tired ass lines over and over, criticizing everyone over and over, and taking up more board space than any other single person with the constant bumping of threads that no one participates in but himself is ok? I can admit I complain about him a lot but my posts about him are way less than his posts jumping in every thread complaining about LDKers, getting dances, lack of front room make out sessions, etc.
  
  And I tried putting him on ignore but it's tough when I see responses to him from people whose input I DO like. So I logout just so I can see what they're responding to. It's pretty much why I don't have anyone on ignore except for one person , who most folks don't respond to.
  
  Anyhow, Papi I've seem you make this complaint before. But how about telling SJG to ignore all the threads where he comes in simply to call everyone chumps, tell everyone they're exasperating frustration and all the other same old BS he spams 10 times a day. You have no problem when he clogs the board with all that, so why get upset about the rebuttal posts?

  The Ignore feature is there for the purpose of not seeing/reading what a particular person posts - what good has constantly complaining about SJG done? Has he gone away or changed his posting style; has he come to his senses and the problem been rectified? If anything he seems to double-down w.r.t. criticism - IMO all the SJG complaining if anything just adds to the problem instead of fixing it (more back-and-forth flaming and trolling).
  
  Just my opinion - just as I feel I should post the way I want, so can those that wanna constantly do the SJG flame-shit - if that is someone's prerogative so be it; I just don't see how it's any better than what SJG does if one is gonna engage in a flame-war w/ him.

  I agree that getting in a flame war with him does nothing, which is why I don't bother engaging him anymore. Even though he STILL attempts to engage me and others into these flame wars everyday.
  
  Why not appeal to HIM to stop? Just like you said we won't change his ways, I understand and agree. But you have to tell him the same thing. He WON'T get anyone to stop getting LDKs at clubs, he WON'T stop anyone from buying dances, and we WILL NOT persue front room make out sessions. Why not appeal to HIM to stop trying to change our minds? It's those very same posts, which are usually in response to a thread not even mentioning him, which starts these flame wars you hate so much.
  
  You make it sound like this guy is so innocent and we all start shit with him. But it's the other way around a lot of the times.

  ^ I'm not trying to make SJG sound innocent; no where have I stated that; you are just extrapolating that - he's been on here a long time getting constant heat and he has not changed his posting style - why keep arguing w/ him if it doesn't make a difference - two negatives don't cancel each other out, they just create a bigger negative (i.e. flaming SJG does not remedy anything from what I see and just makes things worse) - but each TUSCLer can decide for themselves how they want to treat the SJG dilemma

  I'm with Papi_Chulo. I've never understood the san_jose_guy hate. The guy has always been nice to me. I get that his approach may not be everybody's cup of tea. My advice to san_jose_guy would be to let more of the posts on here roll off his back and not respond to all of them. But that's his choice and I'm not going to disrespect him for that. Just some free advice and we all know what free advice is worth.
  
  To the continual san_jose_guy detractors: if you really find san_jose_guy's posts offensive not pressing "ignore" dosen't make sense to me. If you're just busting this balls for a laugh then realize that he may take that more seriously than he should. Isn't it a little cruel to continue busting his balls given that fact?
