A laudable goal, but first certain weeds must be pulled up by the roots. Back to topic: One of my resolutions is to visit at least 1 new club in 2018 outside my usual comfort zone.

Would be great, but achievable? I don't find some of the "side line" topics enjoyable, IE: football, politics, etc. Where I draw the line is the member to member ranting and raving. THAT I mostly eliminate with my extensive ignore list. Where it not for ignore I would never have come back when I left this board for some time. The second time I left, well that was personal and not board related. Some here know why.
I believe that board as it is at present is pretty damn good, but the one thing I would suggest is "weed" it of the obvious "members" here that never add anything to the STRIP CLUB world. That group is fairly identifiable, I believe.
How refreshing that would be!!

I'm going to try, but it is going to be hard to unring the bell after seeing certain things recently. I'm as big as club junkie as anyone here and have happily contributed to the review section, but the admitted depraved acts of one member and the unfathomable defense of those acts by a few others have raised a lot of questions for me. This is supposed to be a place where grown share stories about their fun with grown women. Let's hope that, moving forward, the collective membership can keep this in mind as they post "stories and tips about strip clubs, dancers, and the joys of being mongers."

Excellent idea, and it is refreshing to see from the posts here how limited the support really is for the juvenile rantings that have made it such a pain to attempt to read board without “ignore” turned on.
i've been thinking recently this vendetta to drive off a certain member could have unintended consequences for the rest of us. right now this board is sort of like the wild west, and i like it like this.

The most insidious aspect of pedophilia it can crop up anywhere at all: work, church, school, home, and community. There is no barrier (digital or otherwise) between them and us until they get caught.
On a strip club site where some members make their preference for barely-legal teens a central part of their online persona, they might even come to feel that this is a safe(r) space in which to operate.
Not all pedophiles are masters of online secrecy tied in to the Dark Web. Many skate by on a bit of luck, opportunism, and the fact that most people want to believe that pedophiles exists somewhere out there and not in their own world.

Would you want members of this board directing law enforcement to this site? Given TUSCL's national span, that would likely involve both state agencies and possibly the FBI contacting you for user information.
I'll be the first to admit that there's not a lot of legally binding evidence here. That said, there's a fair number of your users who are justifiably skeeved out by a user bragging about getting a blowjob from a 14 year-old girl.
I haven't enjoyed the trolling... at all. But I'm okay with a site littered with questionable behavior having some sort of moral compass.

While I personally dont condone certain behaviors of members of the board we still need this to be a safe place for members to share candid stories they otherwise would not. By dropping spam "dirty bombs" on the board to chase off a member or in general insulting specific members for posting life stories will have the effect of killing the board. What existing or new member will post here knowing they will probably be judged harshly? It also has the effect of attracting even greater numbers of insult trolls which he have seen recently. You can see some regular posters have already shut down their postings for some time. Also some new posters were getting immediately attacked by insult trolls shutting them down at once. The general environment has gotten too hostile.
Nobody here has to like everybody but lets keep it civil and fun.
Anything written on TUSCL should be considered fiction.

I read founders original message and thought I was a great way to start a new year. But in the same discussion - we’ve reverted back to the same ongoing flame issue.
The truth is obvious:
We don’t know who Vince really is.
Outside of his postings - we don’t know what he actually did.
There is little chance that contacting the police will prove successful.
This board is a very open forum.
My feelings on this matter:
I’d prefer the board to remain as it is.
I agree - his described behavior is indefensible.
If one makes a depraved and illegal admission in this forum - it would cause me to wonder about the sanity of the person making the admission. It could be a horrible attempt to get attention - or it could be the truth - or it could be a mix of both.
DOUG -- Did I see his post? Seriously? Did you? I commented 3 names down so obviously I saw it; recognized it as trolling; ignored it when I noticed that he never said how old he was when he banged the 14 year old. His post meant nothing and after 18 months you could move on. Psst I fucked a 14 year old, when I was 13. Who's the pedophile there; her or me?
I figure that at least a couple of users here are legitimately lawyers and would hopefully give founder a heads up if/when there really is any legitimate legal risk to himself or the operations of the site.
I would also be astounded if law enforcement hasn't been perusing the site for years if only to get ideas for how untoward things in strip clubs might possibly go down to help with their work.
In other words, it's not plausible to believe that the 10,000 threads about vm have escaped their attention.
The real issue, imho, is the cultural aspect of it. The fortunate thing as I see it is that I haven't seen anyone at all actually defend what vm said. There have been a few weak defenses from maybe one or two people who say they have met him that he isn't actually like that, but I think it's pretty clear that this kind of talk draws resounding scorn here.
The other part is that running the site becomes more of a headache than anything, I wouldn't expect it to stick around. It's hard to imagine the site generating much more than gas money and maybe valet fees.

In my opinion most message boards are over moderated, vastly so. This actually makes people get more negative, as they battle for virtual turf by trying to convince moderators that they are right. And then the moderators tend to side with the herd, and they don't actually read threads close enough to see who started it.
Here on TUSCL we have lots and lots of trolls. But on many other boards its worse, because the trolls are the ones who have moderator powers.
So I think Founder has done an excellent job in mostly just staying out of it and not taking sides.
When it gets real bad, just use the ignore button. Mostly it works, in that the trolls eventually stop when they see that you are using it. I went for over a year not using it, and mostly that worked. But beyond a point, when people are just posting negative meta and it gets too time consumptive to keep replying to them and giving detailed explanations, and when they are clearly just trying to taunt you and bait you, then use it.

Fortunately most of the TUSCL members do want to engage in reasoned dialog, even if it means dialog with people whom they deeply disagree with about many things.
I have recently noticed the lack of posts from one member. He was someone quite thoughtful, and with whom I often disagreed. I think it might be because he realized that though there are widely divergent points of view, most everyone seems to support mongering in its practice and its legalization. He did not, and he posted such, and then he vanished.
To me, Strip Clubs were not originally about mongering. That was what AMPs were for. But things have changed. Though it raises the cost, I feel that it's better the new way. But I also feel that booth dances has created a new type of clip joint and that this is perpetuated because guys don't see that they're being played for chumps.
Founder has this set up so it is a easy as possible, not really moderating, not having different sections, as different sections would require more moderation for those who post in the wrong section.
I think it is important to try and reuse threads. Too many vacuous threads are created each day, just trying to use the title listing to get more exposure, and often just for negative meta.
We don't need 10 new threads per day saying essentially the same things, trying to bait and taunt people, not when new comments could just be added to the original thread, and that would make it easier to work through the thread listings.
And I know it would be better if people woutd simply keep it civil.

I'm going to agree with SJG here. Considering the nature of this forum, creating endless troll threads isn't an attack against Vince Michaels, it's really more of an attack against the forum itself. This is partly what I was referring to by unintended consequences. Of course as I've often been told I do enjoy conspiracies so part of me is starting to wonder if the consequences are really unintended, especially given that the trolls seem determined to ignore Founder's express wishes.

Sorry, but I am not going to abide by this resolution. Getting a self-admitted pedophile off the board needs to take higher priority than everyone just pretending to get along. That would be phony anyway. It's been tried in the past and never last more than a few days.

There’s a fine line between bad ass and needy attention whore fag. I think we all have varying degrees at which we see that line being crossed. Personally, I have a high tolerance, if someone is really funny or oddly good natured, but everyone is different.. South Park says it best.
It took me maybe 4-6 clicks of the ignore button to make the forum pretty easily readable. It’s not difficult.
I have about 30 on my ignore list. But I suspect many of those aliases are no longer active.
I'll be happy when Dougster and all his troll identities is lying in a morgue somewhere with a toe tag, till then the ignore button is probably the best thing we got here.
