What's your most frightening moment at a strip club? One time, a couple years ago, a couple of customers started a fight with each other right next to me at the bar. I was worried that I would get caught in the crossfire. Also another time I heard a story from a stripper of a time someone pulled a gun at the strip club I was at. What about you all?
I can't remember. I remember talking to someone and he pulled out a knife with a six to nine inch survival knife with a long serrated edge to cut something. The bouncers noticed and confiscated it right away. I wasn't worried about it. We weren't arguing about anything.
One time apparently a wife came into a club and found her husband sitting at a table next to me. She grabbed a beer bottle and smashed it against his head knocking him out cold. All I noticed was the guy lying unconscious on the floor. They called 911.
I can't really recall a really scary moment - I think I only seen one fight at a small black club I visit & it was in a small side -room where there were no customers & was kinda out of sight from the main-room - one of the guys looked like a staff member & not sure if the other one was also or someone trying to come-in thru the side-door of the small room.
I was at a dive club on New Year's Eve. A fight started. It was weird because it was at a large table of couples - i assume friends. One guy was white and the other guy black. For some reason, assholes around the club jumped into the fight that divided along racial lines. It got scary when one guy started swinging a chair. I made sure I had access to the exit...but I didn't leave. I wanted to watch. Lol.
I had a weird moment near Fort Bragg. One time a guy was sitting at the stage near me. He said I was crazy. I looked at him and then he said, that's ok, he was too.
Taking a piss in the bathroom was kind of amusing. You look and see Death from above graffiti. A lot of the 82 airborne was in the area. I blended in a little too well. One night while hanging out with a dancer I knew after the club closed and one or two of her friends plus possible boyfriends. One girl brought up an airplane explosion. One of the guys was pissed. He was officially dead and said he might not show up for work on Monday since he was dead. Another time there was a crazy shooter on the base and inky special forces got injured. Sitting across from me in one strip club must have been about 4 or 5 of the injured special forces. I saw arm slings and bandages like it was a war zone.
I suppose being in a couple of clubs when they were raided, that probably goes somewhere in the concerned category. Both times I was able to get up and walk out with only a few confused looks. Have seen fights. Mostly no big deal. Left a club about an hour before someone got gunned down in the parking lot. Could tell there was going to be a problem with the future dead guy so went to a different club. The idea is not to be there when crap goes down.
There was a time I thought I was going to get shook down at a club in Romania because of a communication barrier. The bartender was having some kind of beef, and the only way off the property was a locked steel gate beside a Russian bouncer packing heat. Walked out the door anyway so I could get a better idea of my options. Luckily I had connected with a local cabbie who saw the problem brewing from the curb and smoothed things over in their language. After that I had him drive me to a couple of places where I wouldn't get disappeared. I'll pick that one for now.
There were a few incidents that have made me nervous but the one that comes to mind now is when a couple of police officers came in. That happened before and since this incident but for some reason that time I was very nervous. I wasn't doing anything wrong or illegal. It was totally illogical but I was just wondering what are they doing here and would I get caught up in it.Whatever it was.
I brushed past this little fellow in a club in Texas a long long time ago. All my stupid bar stories happened in Texas. He said something I didn't quite catch, so I turned around and said, "sorry, I didn't hear you. Did you say something?" Then I saw his two boys behind him. I guess he was talking shit. He must have seen that I wasn't fazed at the three of them, so he muttered something and he and his boys turned away. I'm no tough guy but these guys clearly had more mouth than muscle, and I apparently had more muscle than brains back then. I went back to my table and sat down. Only now do I realize that had it gone badly, I would have had no help at all. Does age make us wiser, or does it give us more to lose?
Maybe the 1st time on 8 Mile Rd in Detroit walking into Penthouse. Just a feeling of what am I getting myself into? Took a wrong turn one time trying to head to Christie's in Cleveland and was maybe in one of the worst sections of a neighborhood I have ever seen and had to turn around in. Was genuinely nervous for a moment.
At Penthouse have seen a super old guy during dayshift that was barely able to walk. I wasn't in his area but was just concerned watching him try to get around that he might fall. Some dancers and staff helped keep an eye on him when walking.
Saw a dancer vs. dancer fight at Coliseum one time. I was on the other side of the stage. Didn't last too long but an awkward feeling.
Saw a bouncer talking to a dude sitting stage side at Kahoots in Columbus for a moment, then proceed to push him, lift him out of his chair, and throw him out. Guess the guy had licked one of the girl's ears on stage and when told to stop was a wise ass. Was pretty much a one way fight with the bouncer in control the whole time and didn't last long, but awkward.
I've only been to what I would consider high end clubs, but a few of them in sketchy areas. The last thing I really want to see or hear about clubs I visit is drama.
I've been through raids at the Memphis Platinum Plus and Follies but didn't shake me up at all. I wasn't doing anything at the time. :)
Now back in the 70's my best friend and myself drove a VW dune buggy down the Baja before they built the road, then took a ferry to Mazatlan and drove down to Acapulco. On the way home we spent the night in Culiacan, the marijuana capital of Mexico. That night we hit the red light district. We were in one club and we were the only gringos in the place. My friend got to talking with a couple of locals and then took 2 of them for a ride in the dune buggy. When he came back in he said "I think we had better leave now. They want to buy the dune buggy and are offering us $500 cash and $500 worth of pot. I'm afraid they might get pissed if we tell them no". We got the hell out of there.
Probably my most frightening moment in a strip club was when I realized that Crazyjoe was taking a shit in the stall next to the urinal I was taking a piss in. :D
The first few times I went to clubs by myself I was scared shitless not knowing what to expect and not knowing how things worked. Got over that pretty quick.
Scariest thing I saw was a fight between a busboy and a group of thugs that were pissed because he tried to bus their table and they took offense. There were about 6 or 7 guys jumping on the one busboy. What a bunch of chickenshits. By the time the bouncers jumped into it the rumble had migrated into the middle of the club where a dancer and I were sitting and we got out of the way just in time to see a beer mug fly past her head. I got the hell outta there. I found out later that the fight continued into the parking lot and the cops even had a hard time breaking it up.
One time over 20 years ago in a little shitty club in the LA area, I was sitting at the tip rail tipping, dancer on stage says to me "You should leave now, those 3 guys over there were talking about robbing you" I told her "thank you" and hi-tailed it out of there. Strippers=Guardian Angels. A few months later I read that the club was closed by LAPD due this problem of customers getting mugged.
Regarding my 8 Mile / Penthouse comment, Penthouse is only the 3rd club I had ever visited, was the first time in Detroit visiting a club, and I was just starting out in the strip club scene.
Being at the club in VIP while a raid takes place scares me. Just hoping I would be able to get myself put together quickly. Otherwise guess it would be an interesting event to sit through and witness.
Wow beeoch, that was nice of the dancer to have given you a heads up.
I have a story that deals with after the club, not actually at it.
Was in St. Louis in 2006, saw a Cardinals game, then went over the river to Roxys. Cab ride there was $20.00. Left Roxys at about 2:30am, jump in a cab, starts to drive, then I ask him how much the ride was back to the Sheraton in St. Louis. He tells me $30.00. I tell him that's bullshit and that I only paid $20.00 to get here. (I'm drunk as a skunk btw). Words get exchanged and he tells me to get the fuck out of his cab. Basically dropped me off on that stretch of road on 2nd St headed back to the river. Walked for about a mile before I see a pair of headlights. Turns out it was a cab and I flagged him down. He asks me, "Are you stupid? What are you doing walking out here by yourself at 3am? and then tells me he usually would never pull over for someone in this part of town. I get in his cab and he took me back to my hotel for $20.00. At the time, I was too drunk to realize how stupid and scary it was. Now that I look back, my guardian angel was there with me that night for sure!
In a hick strip club way up north in Michigan years ago with a few buddies, this 2 ton dancer was doing her set. She pulls out a cigarette, lights it and sticks it in her pussy and starts smoking in forcing air in and out of her pussy. We were all disgusted and turned her down when she came to our table.
I've been in a couple clubs where it was overcrowded and the club was probably over capacity and I did not want to be there if a fire broke out. Other than that, maybe a couple fights which took place next to me, but nothing real serious.
Standing at the bar at the old Hawk's Lounge in Providence. In between me and the next patron is a very drunk prostitute. She orders a drink and the bartender tells her she is too drunk to serve. She reaches into a purse, aims it at the bartender and just as she pulls the trigger, the patron to the other side of her knocks her arm upward. The shot strikes the ceiling, the plaster rains down, the bartender grabs the gun, puts it beneath the bar and asks me if I need another beer.
I was approached by a short fat stripper who must have weighed over 350. She stepped between my legs and started to sit on my lap. I imagined my life ending as a smear on strip club carpet. O' the horror. I managed to avoid being crushed by backing my chair up and standing and then I beat a swift retreat. It was so terrifying I did not return to that club - ever!
Well just a couple months ago we were at one of our favorite clubs when it got super busy about an hour before closing and it was a mix of people so we moved away from the bar. Within a few minutes a fight broke out and the bouncers tried to throw them out when one pulled a gun and started shooting hitting a bouncer and two patrons then took off running with a bouncer chasing him while we stayed and helped the injured.
I've never had a "frightening" moment in a strip club. The closest thing I've had to truly uncomfortable is when I got into a beef with a few off duty cops in a clubs in Queens, including one little shit that I had every intention of tossing down the stairs to the main entrance. In hindsight, I was lucky to get out of the club with my skin intact as I'm sure that they would have collectively kicked the shit out of me if I roughed up the shithead.
I was about to pull into my regular haunt and noticed a news camera in the parking lot. At the last second, I kept going past the club and watched from down the street. The news camera was harassing anyone they could get to and even poked their nose into the club. The story and those people ended up on the evening news. Almost busted, I was freaking out inside my head.

My answer is boring though. Most I've seen is a couple fights and both of them got broken up by the club staff before anything really happened

I'm a pretty big guy so people were always scared of me....they never knew I was really like a kitten

Interesting how some clubs have security that will pat you down for weapons (XTC) while at others you just walk in (Baby Dolls)
