  The top tier (top 50 earning girls) on most site make crazy bank. I personally know a girl that made over $150,000 on year camming. She began earning a solid living, I think she did around $50k her first year and she was very hot, also she would talk in this chirpy high pitched voice which guys loved. Anyway she got her boobs redone and catapulted to 2nd place one month and made so much money in one month she went and bought herself and her son new cars and paid cash.   Camming can perhaps be considered the digital equivalent of the porno mag but better – yes – of course a live woman (e.g. stripper) is better but camming has the following characteristics and why perhaps it may be popular:
  
  + convenience – pretty-much anyone can access cam-sites via a smartphone at least and smartphones are supa proliferated even in the 3rd world where most people may not have computers
  
  + world-wide customer base
  
  + tons of naked women and whom doesn't like to look at naked women
  
  + not everyone has other options such as a quick SC or escort visit and this is a decent alternative with its convenience and rather low-price
  
  + and they have all types of women vs just the cookie-cutter strippers in many SCs

  It's free too. The cam girls wouldn't exist though if every guy acted like me. Some guys pay and tip some of the girls. I'm not paying for any of that. I met someone somewhere who apparently enjoyed the interaction with the cam girls so I guess for some, it's like a digital strip club visit without any physical contact. I guess if the nearest strip club was 1000 miles away, it might seem more interesting.

  @sharkhunter it's free to a point. Seems like a lot of women have started taking to doig private shows only allowing those who tip a CERTAIN amount to see her masturbate. I was one of those guys who sat in t he background and every so often made a comment but never tipped. It's cheaper for me to go to a strip club than to spend money on cam girls. Plus at a strip club and you physically touch and really see their body. Even if it's public you can get independant time with a woman unlike a camsite. Check out camsoda one day. You'll notice that once it's time for her to expect people to pay, you've been cut off from and further viewing session unless you put out. And If you're like papi and i, and want to see different women, you're putting out at minimum (and absurd minimum btw that isn't likely to ever happen) of $5 per "private" visit. That's like tipping $5 per woman on stage, vs., tipping a dollar every so often to watch a bunch of girls at once.
  
  But hey as long as perverted lonely suckers exist, these women will continue to make bank roll and flaunt it like they actually work hard.
