I have only every met one stripper who used strict softsell. That is, never said/did anything to get money in the short term that risked burning her with the customer in the long term. Seems like there are lots of us who go to the same same clubs year in and year out (indicating potential value of softsell). But I have to admit, if I like a dancer's look and she gives decent two-way contact, I just roll my eyes and put up with the hardsell SS. Is that why they do it, cause they can?
Good question. Most businesses are built on friendship/relationship service. How can you say no to a friend? Wouldnt you rather deal with a friend or someone you know? Dancers seem to think that doesnt apply to their business though. Doesnt make sense to me
Oh I had one girl pull the ultimate soft sell on me. It was really an 18-month long-con.
I never even danced with her but she was best friends with an ex-fave whom i had spent a ton of money on. Even after she retired she called and texted for a year and half. Never asked for anything. Said she was different, just wanted to be real friends. But I knew something was up and had my guard up. Finally she asked me to invest in her baby daddy's rap career. Wanted me to finance a tour. When I said no - she stopped calling. Lol. What a surprise.
@MH I would count that as hardsell. She's calling you and texting you, claiming to be your friend, but it sounds like she never said "hey let's meet for drinks tomorrow night" or anything. So you realized quick it was surely bullshit, and even a dumb guy would have realized it after a few weeks. Sounds like the only reason you kept taking her calls was to see what crazy-ass thing she'd finally ask you for.
I fell for a similar con. She wouldn't see me OTC, but she told me a lot of personal stuff about her BF and sugardaddy. Got me thinking we had some kind of a twisted friendship going. But she just stopped e-mailing me when she stopped dancing, wouldn't even say goodbye.
I think it's fairly obvious why soft sell doesn't happen more often. Most customers are not some dancer's regular and dancers have an obvious need to make money, but you can't really softsell someone who won't be coming back for a while. It probably could work if the dancers knew a customer was a regular strip club customer, but I doubt the majority of customers are true strip club fanatics.
If a girl don't soft sell me I Probly want make a huge investment.....just chump change but ad soon as a girl starts that girl friend experience Fuck I'm all I'm and dat bitch is going to get very paid......but then again I'm using clubs like a inhouse escort service........lol

At the end of the day though, more often than not, the hard sell is what you need in the club.

Soft sell is theft by deception
