Female "bouncers"

Most clubs in columbus have a bouncer that is suppose to monitor the lap dances and collect the dancer's tip out fee. For example, at kahoots the dances are $30 and the dancer has to tip out the house $10 on each dance she sells. The kahoots bouncers typically just sit down near the LD area entrance and only come over if they hear the dancer yell.
However, recently at kahoots (and also dreamgirls) they have had females doing this job serving as the "bouncers". They not only collect the house fees but they also walk around making rounds checking in during the lap dances to ensure no two way contact.(of course there are some male bouncers who make rounds but recently it has only been these two females).

What have you experiences been with female "bouncers" in charge of the LD area?

    I don't believe I've ever seen a female bouncer.

Sounds more like a "house mom" than a bouncer to me.

I noticed the same scenario at a club I visit but I don't think I'd call them bouncers so much as collectors given there are still burley dudes about to keep watch over things in case someone does something stupid. I asked my dancer about what she thought and she said that the girls are easygoing and her clients seemed more relaxed around them. Personally I don't have an issue with them so long as they don't make my life difficult since I am not a problem child.

I thought house moms mostly stayed back in the dressing room area helping dancers with their make up, etc. I guess if the club was short on staff they might have her help out with monitoring the lap dances but most clubs around here have men do that monitoring.

I've been to a couple clubs where they had women counting how many dances each dancer did, but whether they were bouncers is a matter of interpretation because they always had men around to watch over things. Each club I go to give a slightly different list of responsibilities to bouncers that what makes one a bouncer in one club isn't the same elsewhere. I've been to one where the DJ had to be a bouncer under certain circumstances.

Women "floaters" would make everyone less uncomfortable, and women doing security or at least keeping an eye out might be able to diffuse situations that men cannot.

You have a point, bumrubber, but I can't help but think that a female floater might be more stern with what they will let the dancer's get away with, and probably couldn't be bribed with either sex or money to look the other way.

Hmmmmm....bribed w/ sex to look the other way. Where do I sign up? ;)

lopaw makes a good point. Most female bouncers do not know what it is like to be a strip club customer themselves.

Where or how did the therm "bouncer" originate, I wonder?

    Clubber, from Wordiq.com

A bouncer is a term for a person who deals with disorderly people in a bar or pub.

It has been thought that the word, bouncer, originated from when the said disorderly person would be thrown out and bounce as he hit the ground. Another speculation is that the term originated from the person that stood guard on the bar door bouncing a coin someone gave him to enter the bar on some wood to test whether it was real or counterfeit.

Female bouncers? Probably a house mom pressed into bouncer duty. Female dance monitor = red flag in my book. Women rat out more than men.

    sc,

Neither sounds correct to me, but then, I really have no idea.

    gk,

At my local club, my VIP dancer told me the new owner has told the girls that there is a $1000 "reward" for notifying management of the dancers that break the VIP "rules".

Clubber: Sounds like a motive to "inform" on somebody a girl doesn't like just because if that dislike, irrespective of the truth of the allegation. Like getting a convicted felon to inform on somebody else to reduce his own sentence. No credibility whatsoever, but that won't stop the girls from informing, and it won't stop the club from listening to them.

At one local club, I have *never* seen the male bouncers in the private dance area, except to move furniture. The female wait staff, however, is back there frequently, and they always seem to be studiously inspecting the wall *opposite* the open doorways every time they pass...

LOL Raincoat that is hilarious. I saw an old man walk through the door at Walgreen and the security alarm went off. He stopped and the walgreens cashier came over and told him just go it must be broken. He goes "are you sure you don't want to pat me down" She laughed it off as a joke.

I visited a club in small town Alberta that had a female bouncer/door lady. She was so tiny as to almost be a midget. I take one of the dancers to the back for lap dances that I expect to be pleasantly intimate. Thirty seconds into the lap dance the little lady pokes her head into the cubicle and tells me to sit on my hands. I am shocked at the midget's forcefulness and I behave myself for the rest of the dance. Am I pathetic or what?

There was a female "bouncer" working the LD booths last time I was there. She came by often but never said anything though we were pushing the limits a little bit.

"What have you experiences been with female 'bouncers' in charge of the LD area?"

I don't think that it's fair to call them bouncers per se, but the Cadillac Lounge in RI has had some female LD area monitors before. They were pretty strict too.

I haven't run into many house moms in my strip club travels, but I know that Desire in RI has one, and the one at Temptation Gentlemen's Club in MA will even do nude LDs or VIPs if you want.

I just saw an old interview with porn star/Bunny Rancher Kandi Hart, and she said that she always wanted to be an FBI agent when she grew up. She tried working at a security guard agency, but none of their clients ever wanted her to come back, since they didn't think that she was intimidating enough (she's only 4'9" & around 80 lbs). She tried out for a LE position as well but never got a call back. She also was apparently even too little to get into the U.S. military.
