Note that in the case of Peaches, she missed her first flight to TJ, and if we had indeed made OTC plans for elsewhere on that day 2, I would have definitely been stuck without a plan B. (As things were, when she missed her flight, it was no big deal... I just went to the club that day and night!) I think from what I'm gleaning from seasoned vets like you and @PutaTester is... it pays to visit more regularly, and to keep your regular chicas warm. My challenge is, it's usually like 6 months in between visits to TJ, so I have a hard time keeping those regulars warm, and developing the rapport you mentioned is tough at this frequency. For example, I would definitely do an OTC session in the future with Elena, the cute spinner from the threesome in Part 2 of this review. I feel like any rule this specific is going to inevitably get ignored. It's just too impossible to enforce. ^ I was pondering this price creep thing on the plane ride home. Definitely rising value of the Peso vs. the USD is a huge contributing factor. But I think another factor is just the general rising Quality of Life in Mexico. Turnover is high at HK. Though some chicas last years, my guess would be the average chica lasts between 3-9 months. So I figure that every 6 months there's basically an entirely new crop of chicas working. And these new younger chicas who keep coming in, they all have higher expectations than the ladies they replaced. They're in the game to make money, and I think newer chicas have a higher bar in their heads for what counts as good money. I would note though, that prices do seem to have stabilized somewhat this year. HH arribas ran between 120-150 both in February and this recent trip, with 120 being more typical. And as I noted in one of these reviews, chicas seem much more willing to negotiate a lower HH rate for more time. I doubt we'll ever return to anything close to pre-pandemic prices, but my hope is, we're at a new equilibrium now, and prices won't keep skyrocketing like they did in '22 and '23.

And @PT, the bar fine thing, I agree with you it's gotten outrageous. Of all the shit you have to pay for in la Zona, it's the bar fines that aggravate me the most. They only barely benefit the chica (10 fichas for a $110 bucket, so 500 pesos or roughly $27 bucks), but most of the value of the bar fine is captured by the club. The history of bar fines and how they came to be at HK is rather sordid and sad. When I first started going in 2022, they were just getting started with them. Back then, bar fines were only $50 / chica / hour, and were not rigorously enforced. Now they're guaranteed. What changed? It was a fucking serial killer. They had to put in place the management to track who was going up with whom, and for how long. And of fucking course, they didn't miss the opportunity to cash in on this new and necessary security infrastructure. Thus came the bar fines. The suck if it is, there's no going back to the days where TLNs were abundantly available and cheap. The bar fines are here to stay, gah.

Indeed, and thanks for the comment OP. I did just text with my wingman. He took glasses girl arriba at D&G for $120 plus a $30 room. Then the next morning she visited him at Rizo for $150. Clearly, there are much more reasonable prices to be had here. I definitely next time I'm in the zona I will be much less infatuated with the idea of "TLN". It wasn't that bitter of a pill to swallow, in spite of all, I really did have a blast with this wild chica, one I'll remember until I'm on my deathbed.

^ @BookGuy, I think the difference might be that even with your minimal footprint and the connection with your FB account (even though it's now off), Meta knows who you are. In contrast, I'm using a VPN and a proton address so and it's algorithms can't pin my real identity, which is why I got flagged as "inauthentic".

I just added some of my numbers up. 1. Two decades for me. Maybe 2.5 but it was a slow start. I definitely couldn't afford this shit in my twenties. 2. I've clubbed in 17 states, and 6 countries. 3. 26 is currently the number I am most concerned with. It's the total number of arribas I've done in Tijuana. And that number is too damn low.

None of this info is reliable, I'm just adding more grist for the rumor mill.

That girl, who was fucking crazy in every sense of the word, was simultaneously both the best and the worst arriba I've ever had. It will probably take me a little bit of time these next few days to make sure I hit the right notes, it's a complex song to sing. @Electronman. Cash is a tough topic, because I still haven't found the right answer on this. I brought about $4500 across the border, packed deeply in the bowels of my luggage. Was I concerned about security? Hell yes, I was especially concerned given I also brought a weed pen with me. Had I gotten caught with the weed by either Customs or the Police I encountered just across the border, I might have forfeited the cash. Once I got that cash to the hotel I felt it was safe. On a prior visit to TJ, Cascadas security did find my cash stash thoroughly searching my bag, and the dude just chuckled and said, "you're going to have a good time, Señor." The Dragon is watching everyone, and I don't think any hotel employee would be bold enough to steal from a guest. (Sketchy chicas on the other hand might... but that's what the safe in the room is for.) If you do the math on my 4 days in TJ, $4500 definitely was not enough to cover the trip. To bolster my funds, I visited the ATM once or twice, and also by used the CC for a few transactions. The drawback of the ATM is they ding you a whopping 11-12% in transaction and exchange fees. For example, at the ATM in the Rizo lobby, getting $500 cost me $563. The drawback of using the CC is the potential for a fraud or a privacy breach. Late in our trip @TJV had a really recommendation: go online and search for an affiliate of my bank in the area. He also recommended that using the app for my bank, I could increase my max daily withdrawal limit. I'm going to try that before my next visit. The ideal situation would be to bring less cash, and then find an ATM nearby that didn't gauge me with fees.
