Popped in Risqué Northeast this weekend to Mahale some second hand smoke and stare at an empty stage. Physical description in this review matches Risqué NE

Whatever
Got repeatedly chastised by the L/D overlord for putting my hands on a dancer's hips. I left the place in frustration. Silks on the Water is a little more relaxed

Different strokes for different folks. Don't know who the reviewer saw when he was there, but, admittedly, you're unlikely to meet the girl of your dreams there, at least on the afternoon shift. Still, if you're in a certain frame of mind, it can be worth an afternoon detour on the NY Metro to Phila Metro run.

I, too, am intrigued by the comical location. Brings to mind Jiggles in Hawthorne, NJ, also in the middle of a residential area

The host hustle factor is so obnoxious, it is enough reason to avoid this place. And, as stated, VIP is overpriced with zero chance of mileage. The only viable way to endure this place is to tune out the host (if you can) and tip the stage dancers and forget about private dances. Better option is to head south on I-93/95 about 45 minutes to PVD

Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life
My SO said the backup dancers were sperm and Rhi Rhi was the vagina. I thought SO was off-base, but the discerning TUSCL commenters validated her.
As far as Rhianna selling out for $, she's got a net worth of $1.4 billion, mostly from her fashion/cosmetic lines, so she can pretty much do what she wants w/out regard to $. I heard she performed for free, so it may be more about visibility.
Her "best-of" set is basically a bunch of catchy earworms. Better than most of the hip hop that's prevalent at the SCs

Speaking only of the afternoons, I'd rank it: 1. Cheerleaders; 2. Risque; and 3. Delilah's. All have a decent mix of dancers. The issue is quantity. CL is busiest, and always seems to have dancer working the room looking for attention. Risque is a little slower, but if you're patient it won't take long to get a dancer's attention. Delilah's will go for long stretches with no dancers on stage, and sometimes none in site of the bar.

$100-300 seems like a lot to spend if you're shunning LDs and the VIP. Tip parade must be intense. Agree that the LD area is not very private at all

I know that you're young and inexperienced; but you can trust me to be sensitive and understanding. Now, here, have more tequila.
Not a fan of Oasis either, but based on the occasional visit, here's a couple tips: 1. If you go and if you find a dancer you want to take to the conventional LD room, see if she takes you to the seats in the last row, which are not visible to the money guy at the entry. She just might be a keeper. 2.Only times I've gotten extras there was in the VIP cubicle furthest to the end. Assuming no cameras there.

you can get plenty of attention in the afternoon, and there are attractive dancers working then

The Guard (2011) Irish sort-of “buddy” cop comedy/thriller with Brendan Gleeson and Don Cheadle (?!). Good low-key Irish storytelling with Gleeson doing his typical thing and Cheadle somehow perpetually looking cool and out of place at the same time
Also, I want to see Infernal Affairs, a Hong Kong movie from 2002. The Departed, one of my favorites, is supposedly a remake and movie snobs say the “original” is better. Question is whether to watch it with subtitles or English dubbing. Prime has both

Seems like the brouhaha over the tip buried the lede: A fun, hot Ukrainian dancer at Risque Philadelphia. As far as the tip goes, she only went over the top once you told her you didn't have any change. She should have left it at that, but that's unusual enough that it doesn't seem like a generational thing, and not typical of that club. Hard to expect dancers to keep track of who was watching them on stage or not. Stage dancers routinely approach for tips when I've just walked out of VIP, or when I'm at the bar engrossed in conversation with another dancer, or even in a booth away from the bar. It's just part of the SC ecosystem, because the dancer who got interrupted is going to be the interrupter next time she finishes a stage set. I'll tip regardless, but if I don't happen to have change, that should be good enough. I do always try to have singles on hand while at the bar which, in Philadelphia, is equivalent to sitting stageside

Stop in there once a year just to see if things have changed and it's always like this. So the review basically checks CL NJ off my list for 2023

Have also noticed more chunky dancers on my more recent visits to Desire. Also have no interest. They just take up valuable time on stage and create awkward situations when you have to give them the brushoff on the floor. Still my favorite Providence club, though

"Best club in the Boston area" is arguably true, if you don't consider Providence to be in the Boston area (which I don't). But it's like being the skinniest kid at fat camp

Comparing favorably to Glass Slipper is a good example of “damning with faint praise”. It wouldn’t be hard to spend over $1K in this place as reported by the reviewer and yet have what sounds like an objectively mediocre time.

Lets go Brandon
1.It's the dancer's option whether top comes off in LD area.
2.There's no cover in the afternoons.
3.Champagne room is $250 for 30 minutes, with the two drinks included.
