More of a Puddle than an Oasis

After seeing a couple of recent positive reviews I decided to give The Oasis another try...

The club is easy to access being near the airport across from several large car dealerships (keep driving a little further and you'll run into the famous Purple Orchid). There's a small parking lot in front, and a larger lot in back, and both seem safe and discreet. Arriving on a weekend evening, at about 8p, a few spots were open in the front lot. Paid a $10 cover, walked through a metal detector, and entered.

Strip clubs are supposed to be fun and exciting. For the past several years this one has been sad; it has no energy or vibe. This night was no different. There is a large, rectangular bar in the center with two poled stages, and a smaller stage off to the side. On a positive note, the club seems to have renovated some booths along one side of the room and cleaned up the room's walls. There were 5 or 6 truly pathetic PLs at the bar, and I took my rightful place beside them among the dozens of open seats. A bottle of local beer was about $6.
