Why even be open in the afternoon?

I stopped in for a beer on a Wednesday afternoon - and that's about all I got. The parking lot is large right off highway 42 so no problems getting in and out of the place. It was about 3pm and as I walked in I could see two other guys there sitting at the bar. The bar is a huge u-shape that surrounds the main stage where, presumably, the girls dance. Around the bar against the walls are plenty of seating and tables. None were being used as the place was nearly empty. Maybe - hopefully for their sake - they are busier in the evening. The decor was nice enough but seemed dated - mirrors everywhere, plush seats, etc. The lights were low so I'm sure that kept me from seeing how worn out the furniture most likely is. The bartender was a nice looking lady and seemed friendly enough but after she brought my beer she went to the corner of the bar to talk with the two guys that were there for the rest of my visit. They must have been regulars - I got the feeling that only regulars are welcome here. There were no dancers to be seen anywhere. When I was about halfway through my beer a dancer finally came into the room and I got excited because she was pretty and I was thinking she would hope up on stage for a show - but instead she just went straight over over by the bartender and hung out there talking with the aforementioned gentlemen. So, I played with my phone. I finished my beer and waited a bit longer hoping some more girls would show up. None ever did. Eventually the bartender came by and asked if I wanted another drink, but, by this time I was done with this place so I left. I guess I was there about 45 minutes. My question to the business owners is why even be open in the afternoon if you have no customers, only one dancer and the dancer you do have is not interested in making any money for you? What is the point? Anyway, I did notice a sign that said lap dances and such are downstairs in the basement so if you manage to stop by when any girls are actually there to work, maybe you can take one down there and have a good time. I, unfortunately, did not have the pleasure.
