This was also a very good article that made me think about showing more appreciation for the people who work "offstage" at clubs: https://tuscl.net/article/60151

Legalizing prostitution makes it taxable. A government can choose to redistribute some of that tax revenue in the form of paid maternity leave. It doesn't become your responsibility any more than any other sin tax (e.g., alcohol, cigarettes, lottery). You aren't taxed if you don't indulge.
Paid maternity leave will help couples and families stay together. "Mother Nature" will be pleased, progressives will be outraged, sounds like a win-win.

"According to the environment of the onyx," you too can meet "women with quality of 8" and "have a wonderful experience with such a dancing"!
Sounds like they will love you long time.

PAWG Patrol - Toppers used to post more dancer pictures on their IG. About 90% white dancers. Usually 3-4 black girls, and a few months ago I saw an Asian dancer for the first time there. Most of them are very fit, as the stage routines are more athletic than what you see in ATL these days. If you're a fan of pole tricks (or having tits rubbed in your face), they do that.
Not all are young college students. Some natural, some enhanced. Some have elaborate tattoos, piercings, etc. Haven't seen any PAWG's there lately, but if you like a PAC (Phat Ass Colombiana), you will like Vanessa.

I was surprised by the renovations too, the first time I went back after COVID. There used to be one long bar (instead of the two bars they have now). I remember that dancers used to have to get the wristband from the DJ booth, but now they have sort of a hostess stand outside the VIP.
The "weird third pole" that you mentioned (which is opposite the VIP entrance) may not be useful for pole tricks, but it's a good area on a dead night to get a little more contact from dancers because they aren't being watched as closely.
Anya told me that dancers negotiate their own rate for the executive room. It's a lot more than what VIP costs in Atlanta, but Toppers is the only game in town ever since Baxters closed. I guess somebody's gotta pay for those renovations!
As a dancer, I'm curious what you think about the mandatory stage rotation. It makes no sense to me when the club is nearly empty, although (as a customer) it means that dancers can't hide out in the dressing room or sit on their phones.

Maybe both. I'm still not sure what to make of whole thing, and I'm curious what other folks here think. I guess I should have posted it as a discussion topic. Dances were $10, BTW. My beer was $8, and I think her mixed drink was $12.
She kept telling me, "I don't work here" and looking at me like she was waiting for a certain response. I think she was being careful not to say anything that could be interpreted as soliciting. She also made sure she was seen tipping dancers. One of the dancers said to me afterward, "I thought you two knew each other!"

"she might still be on rotary phone" -- she might be dialing for dollars at the Clermont Lounge, Atlanta's home for aging strippers.

I've never gotten "weird treatment for being white" at Blaze either. But on my most recent visit, a young dancer me quoted $500 for VIP. She most have noticed my surprise because she added, "I'm worth it." Maybe you are, girl. I'm not.

Toppers in Athens has that same required rotation onstage, even when the club is nearly empty, and I agree with you -- it doesn't make sense. Plus the dancers are required to work the poles at both ends of the stage. Guys will be sitting at one end, tipping the dancer, and then she's required to walk off to the empty seats at the other end of the stage and perform for nobody.

I used to go when it was the 24K. Had no idea of its history. Thank you for this, very interesting! I've heard of the Sweet Gum Head drag club, but didn't know it was in the same building, or that it was once owned by James Brown.
In the 24K days, a small club for gay men occupied part of the building. I think it was called Opus. It seemed odd to have a straight men's club next door to a gay men's club, but that's Atlanta.

Never had anyone refuse to break a 20 in ATL clubs -- in the parking lot, at the door or at the bar.

Beansnappers in Appleton. No alcohol but fully nude -- and the dancers slide down a pole to the stage, like in a firehouse or the Bat Cave.

Shadowcat, did you see the (real) news that Trump hired Steve Sadow as his lead Georgia attorney today? Two decades ago, Sadow represented the Gold Club's owner in the RICO case that shut down ATL's most successful strip club.

Last weekend a DJ played "Cherry Bomb" by the Runaways (from 1976), and it really went over well. The dancer seemed to enjoy it. Maybe she had seen the movie.
Pretty sure I've heard "Legs" and "You Shook Me All Night Long" at strip clubs. Would love to hear Motorhead!

Great list! Definitely add Mary's in Portland (from the first comment). At Beansnapper's (a juice bar near Appleton WI), the strippers enter the stage by sliding down the pole from a room above. Like a firehouse, or the Batcave.
Re. Clermont Lounge - you may have tried to visit while they were renovating the hotel above the club. The renovators pretty much left the club alone to "preserve the ambience". Some nights had live (local) bands instead of strippers. As many reviewers have said, it's a must visit at least once. A lot of TV shows and movies are shot in GA these days, so there's the occasional celebrity sighting.
