On my visits sometimes one or two black girls or a darker skinned brazilian or dominican, sometimes none. Same for white girls - its usually 90% caramel latinas/brazilians here. Been here about 8 times.

Ive been here maybe 8 times, always at night, and it was always ok. Just ok. Always beautiful girls there, especially if you like curvy/thick latinas, but mileage is spotty at best and can be difficult to get LDs here at all. Never even considered VIP. I went dayshift for the first time recently - 430-630 - and was very pleasantly surprised. The lineup was same level of hotness but the girls were much more outgoing and much sluttier. It was like a different club. Def going dayshift only here from now on. It also helped that the crowd was much thinner but still plenty of girls working, at least ten dancers. Dollar parade still brutal.

a. ive noticed this too and often find myself asking myself "WHY is this chick a stripper? HOW could she possible be making any money". The job is, at its core, to be a professional hot chick. Fatter and more tatted up dancers is a trend in clubs but its also a trend in society at large - we get fatter every year and tattoos, piercings hairstyles, etc. get "edgier" every year. The strip clubs reflect this as does the mall and walmart. b. I also think that, more importantly, post-pandemic it seems most clubs are struggling to stay open and staffed so the managers probably feel like they have no choice but to hire whoevers willing to do the job just to have some warm bodies on stage. A possible solution would be physically smaller clubs - managers wouldnt feel the need to hire 15 chicks with a third of them physically questionable or worse. Put up a partition or curtain, cut the club space down 33% and just hire the best ten. I love thick and curvy women but they should be fit and healthy looking - shits gotten out of hand and now unhealthily obese young women call themselves "thicc" instead of exercising. c. Another possible solution? More cubanas! Once again thank god for the latinas...

Good review, Ive had a similar experience here, but there are indeed nude clubs in NJ. If they serve alcohol the dancers cant be nude or topless on stage so most strip clubs in NJ are "bikini bars" but maybe 10-20% of SCs here are all nude. There are no "topless bars" in NJ, in a literal sense its not legally an option.

Im in north-central NJ, weve always had cubans here both in the clubs and in general. I have recently noticed an uptick in cuban dancers here too though. By no means an invasion but enough to notice. As in almost every club i go to now has at least one cuban dancer. They are generally excellent strippers, are eager to provide/earn and can generally be negotiated with so im not complaining. To see the talk of the "cuban invasion" in places like kansas is funny to me but I also want to understand the broader reasons of how and why this is happening, why specifically from Cuba? Other than proximity (90 miles to florida) is it actually easier for cubans to emigrate here than from other countries in Latin America? Does cuba have a history of a robust sex trade or their own strip club industry? My immediate area, which has a large hispanic population, probably has more guatemalans than any other nationality. Ive yet to meet ONE guatemalan stripper (sad face emoji). Ive met more colombians and brazilians than anything else. Both of which are MUCH bigger countries than cuba, population 10,000,000 so roughly equal to Ohio. Is the Cuban government behind this? Whats the deal? Wheres Mulder and Scully when you need 'em?

I always appreciate an outsiders perspective on the nj scene but this place is really not representative of most jersey gogos. its an outlier as far as layout and customs. feels like they designed it to accomodate 100 customers and they get more like 10. sadly not a lot of options in morris county anymore though.

Im 37 so not an old man not a young kid and I agree that societal norms and behavior have changed dramatically and rapidly in the last 5 years and not for the better. Our driving habits reflect this too and have worsened noticeably since the pandemic. Thats part of the problem, people are objectively more obnoxious than they were ten years ago. Sociologists largely agree (agreeableness down, narcissism up, etc.) Another part of the problem is that vehicles have gotten much faster, larger and more powerful but the typical driver is still just some douchebag trying to get to a shitter or some douchette to starbucks. Plus they keep loading the vehicles with more and more “features” that distract drivers more and more. Plus smartphones are ubiquitous in all their distracting glory which is a dangerous situation in a country where 90-95% of personal vehicles are automatic. In short the advances in vehicles themselves have greatly outpaced the drivers that operate them and the infrastructure that carries them. Your average driver is probably LESS technically skilled and knowledgeable about their vehicles operation, maintenance and traffic laws than twenty or thirty years ago but driving a much faster and overall more powerful machine. They are also driving them on, in many places, physically shittier and more congested roads. Muddys comment about third world driving becoming prevalent here is also a factor in the general decline.

Its coming, too natural of a fit. I think in most markets being allowed to blaze in the club would be a boon for business at least until the novelty wears off. Ventilation/second hand smoke is another regulatory hurdle but with weed mainstream the weed-lounge/strip club combo should be on its way soon. Looking at you Oregon…

If you do make it to Camden, Philly would be easiest as its closest and theres some good clubs on columbus blvd (already mentioned) as well as great food in south philly. Trendier fare in center city. But if you do find yourself in jersey in the summer and looking for work atlantic city and an area locally known as “strippers row” further north in the raritan bayshore are both about an hour from camden (ac a little less, bayshore a little more) . Both areas are popular and well travelled in the summer with good beaches nearby. Ac has casinos, a-list entertainment pretty much every weekend and notoriously overpriced strip clubs (bad for us, good for you) with a new busload of suckers every night lol. The bayshores a nice area and a gogo hotspot with about ten clubs within ~15-20 minutes of each other, all niches covered there. A little further from camden though, especially with traffic. As previously mentioned camdens not the type of place to go exploring by yourself and theres not much to see outside of the waterfront anyway. Its bad enough that most businesses are closed by 8 so no real nightlife to speak of. Federal st has some life but mostly spanish-speaking. Good latin food in camden btw. Camdens routinely ranked one of the worst cities in america so def do some research to understand your friends area. There are some decent neighborhoods. A lot of the surrounding towns are nice though with solid downtowns (collingswood, haddonfield, etc).

Many clubs are trending in this direction post pandemic and are failing as a result - higher prices and lower quality is not a winning formula for any business particularly one thats completely dependent on disposable income. There are still some good old school joints around though, at least in my neck of the woods. Theyre usually dives but a lot of fun.

How has no one mentioned “In memory of elizabeth reed” by the allman brothers or the ultimate instrumental “Watermelon man” by herbie hancock Spottieottiedopaliscious (instrumental) by outkast and “Get down (instrumental)” by nas. I saw someone mention hip hop being better as instrumentals…try those two.

Youre right about the horns slowly but surely disappearing from popular music. A lot of the old soul and motown bands had great horns sections, too many to name, but anything recorded in muscle shoals (fame studios) is a good place to start looking. Their house band kicked ass. Aretha franklin to the rolling stones all recorded there, with sax prominent. Seems to me horns are currently and historically more popular in certain regions. New Orleans first and foremost - walk into any club on frenchman st and youll hear some great sax but its still popular there in general. Detroit and chicago historically and nj - e street/clarence clemmons, southside johnny/asbury jukes and you can check out “bleachers” who are newer and have double sax on some songs. Also bruce springsteen did an album of soul covers not too long ago, worth checking out too.

LD mileage and style varies a lot here. A lot of the EEs at bourbon are low mileage. Latinas with an accent will really go for it with the lapdances though, usually as an angle to get u into VIP. Americans (black, white, whatever) are usually somewhere in the middle. Pretty sure the cameras are just for show or in case of an incident. Some towns require it but ive never seen a lapdance interrupted here. I never understood why some strip clubs will only promote the bartenders on their socials or websites...they shouldnt be the main draw.

Ive been by 2-3 times in the last year including a couple days ago and its been closed every time but "Red Zebra" signs are up, exterior lights are on, building is clearly occupied...so Im guessing it is still only open friday and saturday and i happened to visit on off nights.
