I am at Cascadas right now! In 20 years of coming here, I’ve never had a single problem. Today I showed up super early for my reservation. Security offered to look after my bag till check out time. Had a laptop, hundreds in cash, zero issues.

Agreed. I think it's still a pretty good deal, though, especially with the VIP card discount.......

I actually (usually) don't partake TOO heavily on these trips, alcohol y arriba don't mix that well for me, if you know what I mean. My issue with wanting a bottle for my room is that I am not really a "beer" guy, and bourbon is insanely expensive (twice as much as a beer, TINY pours) downstairs, for some reason. Like to have the option of a nightcap in my room before going to bed for the night.
@Kristopher19, thanks for the advice, also. I love staying at Cascadas, but sometimes on multiple day trips, the lack of natural light in the rooms starts to get to me. Really wish there were windows, which is why I occasionally opt to stay at Ticuan.
Since I now know that outside booze is allowed in the rooms, I think I am going to stick with Cascadas, natural light be damned!

I would definitely agree with this. Unfortunately, Milwaukee is NOT a good town for SC's. (I live here)
I would say that if you find yourself here and absolutely must visit a strip club, On The Border is probably your best bet. That isn't saying much, but it's at least a bit of a step up from Airport.....

I have never been asked to take a shower, but the first-ever woman I had in TJ was so palpably nervous that she made me wear TWO condoms!
Was a lot younger/scruffier-looking back then, plus it was obvious that she was VERY new to the game, I did/do gravitate towards girl-next-door/wallflower types for some reason...

I don't know why topless-only is such a big sticking point for me, but it is......
Also, when I go to SC's, I am generally not looking for "extras", it's more of an eye-candy thing for me. Might get a lap dance or two if I come across someone particularly striking, but mostly I'm just there to watch naked women dance.......

@Razorus09, it was definitely a quickie. 1 song lap dance, then she got on her knees, and I didn't last long. And it wasn't in the VIP room, it was in one of those tiny lap dance booths.
Again, it was fun, and I'm glad I tried it, but in the future I'll probably just keep taking girls up to my room @ Cascadas, where for an extra $30 or so you can spend a lot more time, have better lighting (it's dark in those little rooms!), and more comfort. But glad to scratch this off my TJ-to-do list!

I've stayed there, and it's fine. Liked the restaurant.
With that said, I think I like being in the center of the action better, so Cascadas is my go-to. (I really wish the rooms had outside windows, though.)

Well, over the last couple of months we've gotten into watching porn together.
Turns out she likes porn a lot more than I previously realized, as long as it's the right kind. (she's really into those Porn For Women channels).
A recent porn session led to a long discussion of what really turns us both on. (I know that it's kind of sad that we've been together 3.5 years and have never talked about this in depth till very recently....)

JA, my experience has been the exact opposite of yours. I've been going to TJ for 20+ years (albeit sometimes with years in between visits), and have never NOT done Arriba.
I would agree that the public debauchery is a big draw of the shaving cream shows, in fact I wish there were MORE of that to be had at HK.
It wasn't until my last visit (about 3.5 years ago) that I discovered the fun to be had with fichas. Previously I was always a cut-right-to-the-chase kinda guy. (my opening line in previous years has been "Hi, wanna f*ck?", and then straight up to a room.) I figured that since my Spanish is virtually non-existent, there's really no point in chit-chat.
Definitely going to revise that idea this time, though.
Also, I actually did not know that girls do BJ's in the lap dance rooms, I always thought that was not allowed. So thanks for the info guys, definitely plan to explore that option as well!

Yeah, I don't care too much for haggling. In the past, when quoted what I think is too high a price, I've always found is easy enough to just keep looking. Generally, I've found the $60-$70 girls perfectly acceptable. $100 is fine, also, but I have to REALLY want the girl. (which does come up!) I'm not rich, by any means,

Have taken many solo trips (not in the last couple of years due to my relationship status, though) to TJ, and while I definitely think that my almost total lack of Spanish HAS been a hindrance at times, it's definitely not a deal breaker.

Also, this may be a stupid question, but: Had been planning to stay in the central city, but it seems like the clubs on the east side are pretty far away, and I'm kind of a fanatic about not drinking and driving. Seems like a pretty expensive Uber trip.
Anyone got any tips on this? Is it really unsafe to stay on the east side? I'm fine with staying sober, really, but it WOULD be nice to have the option of a couple drinks.....

Good luck with all this. I can relate all too well.
Being in a serious relationship has kept me sidelined (apart from a VERY occasional SC visit, where I don't pursue any "extras") the last couple of years.
With that said, I think about TJ every single day. Had some of the best times of my life there, and if I were single, I'd be on the next plane down.
This has always been my "thing" and I am mostly OK with that, but at the end of the day,I think that being in a good relationship is better. Not too many of us get to "have it all", ya know?

Ugh, that sucks!
Honestly, I may not even go now. I have about 10 days off work around that time, and had been planning to take some of that time for a road trip to check out some midwest clubs.
I am really glad I asked, though, cause I did think to check out the Hustler and PT's websites, and neither say anything about being closed.
