This is why I submitted to founder to give posting privileges to only those that have an approved review within the last year (or they bought a VIP account). It will at least eliminate some of the board's regular trolls and spammers. And those that it doesn't eliminate will at least be doing a minimal contribution.
The problem with the creep from San Jose was that he really wasn't posting to contribute to the hobby of active strip clubbing. Instead he was using the boards as a personal and psychological defense mechanism. This would either derail good threads or clutter the boards with numerous OT threads. In both cases he would negatively contribute to the boards and I agree it probably drives other potential quality posters away.

Whether you look at him as the loony raving homeless dude, the stripper womanizer or great sex cult leader that his persona portrays himself as, the OT "intellectual", or as a troll behind any of these or more, to me it's someone insane any way you look at it. The account has 33k posts, and each one alone is typically longer than any other post. To post like that for real, whether intentional or to troll, is nuts.

I've come to the realization that when san_jose_creep is telling folks they are being chumps for buying lapdances, he's really telling it to his former self. His former self is who he has issues with. His former self is the one who was a chump that blew all his money on strippers and lapdances. So when the topic comes up, it's a defense mechanism of his that compels him to state that it's a chump's game. He can't help himself and it has nothing to do with the guy that innocently mentioned that he likes lapdances.
