I can't see "showing your hand" early with a large tip as being effective, unless you really do have a gangsta wad of cash and don't mind using it. You're telegraphing to her that money is no impediment for you. A fiver is enough of an attention-getter. Beyond that strikes me as overkill.

Memphis is such a ratty city with so many problems - I can't picture it keeping a "clean" SC scene long term. It'll slide back to approximately the way it used to be.

houjack, I mostly agree. The communication in the amount itself is minor. Whatever the amount, it's an excuse speak and invite her to meet you offstage.
I do think the quality of the performance also matters. I can tip a few dollars more to someone that has a routine developed to synch with the song, and she can do some pole acrobatics.

Yeah the COI Clubs were where I spent the most time. I didn't like the music they played too much but they had a small, crowded floor and the majority of the women I met were OK with either being pressed against the wall, or letting me lean on the wall while they'd grind me off. I always left with an "accident" in my pants. LOL

Club Fantasy is easy to get to in LA. It's near the subway and you do not even need to drive there, although I remember parking wasn't hard to find. It never was the best club layout for extras - the other ones, with hidden areas behind pillars and corners gradually were closed. I have not been there for over a dozen years now but I remember the majority of the women were latinas, and the men were all types.
I thought it was fun to pick an unfamiliar girl, explore her body while dancing, sense her limits. Occasionally you find someone that is willing to kiss and grope on the couches. I got a few girls' numbers at times but they flaked and I never could actually hook up. I met one lady over to 40 years of age there who told me she was available for sex OTC after I'd been sucking her tits ITC and had gotten warmed up. Chose not to take her up on it, though.

I used to read the reviews on here from Columbia and Greenville SC and wish it was easier to get there... It sounds like things have comparatively leveled over the past few years. And I'm not gonna drive to Greenville to encounter nipple wax.

It wasn't unusual to meet strippers at the hostess clubs. They were just trying out something else to make money.

In the late 1990s there were about a dozen clubs in downtown Los Angles. It was such a "skid row" area at the time and the city was more willing to overlook whatever businesses could function. Then Staples Center was built - and the city got serious about "cleaning things up" and trying to draw development back to the center city.

Funny coincidence that you just posted this - I used to frequent the hostess clubs in southern California. I always liked being able to actually move with the music, plus have a girl in my hands that I could feel up and slither all over. Yes there was a club in NC (Teasers in Statesville, now closed) that had a "slow dance" song, but I don't think it was the same experience. The lights were too bright, and you need a few on-your-feet style songs usually before for you and the girl to settle into each other.
The hostess club experience can be frustrating for PL's who are focused on mileage. You have to like trying out a variety of girls and figuring out who will do what. Sometimes you get a very "proper" dancer who stiff-arms you and won't get close. Sometimes you get someone quite willing to be pressed up against a wall and grinded on. The fun is in discovering that extra bit of chemistry between you and a semi-normal girl.

Is the VIP still $20 during the day? I have never bothered with the dayshift here... Reviews never sound enticing enough. But I do work from home once in a while.
The only clubs remaining elsewhere in NC with $20 VIP dances are in Fayetteville... That is quite a distance from Charlotte, close to a 4 hour drive. I have thought about doing it sometime, but that would take as much time as heading to Follies...

I have not visited here for almost 10 years and it sounds like the same interior layout... The right side "VIP" being simply a cluster of couches off to one side of the stage. Meh. I did think it was a splashy looking club to find in Hickory.

The main reason I have never been here is that the prices are outside of my comprehension. I suppose Charlotte brings enough convention business that executives on the road will pay Vegas pricing while away from their wives.

Raleigh is generally expensive and the clubs are for teasing and eye candy. Read the reviews for N.C. cities and you will see guys mention driving to Greensboro or Fayetteville to get more physical with the dancers.

Charlotte day shifts during the week are usually thin at any club. Maybe the Men's Club would have a small posse of dancers during their lunch specials.
I would not bother visiting Gold until at least 4 PM. Around then girls start trickling in to cater to guys leaving work.

I was sooo tempted to reject this as a club ad while pending.
But I stood back and let other members vote. I rationalized that even if management submitted this, it's mostly factual. And covers details that more TUSCLers should try to mention in reviews.

Sounds pretty tame for $40 a song. Some of these Vegas reviews are sounding like the ones from San Francisco... places flying on past glory and mystique, but offering little.

I do think it is hard on a lady's psyche for "the invisible hand of the market" to inform her that she does not have to goods or the techniques to make it as a stripper.
Realistically, she could have quit the club without paying her stage fee. Odds are they would let her work again if she came back and paid what she owed them.
Overall it is still kind of comical though. A twenty did not mean that much to you in the end. It was worth it just to preserve a good vibe, and not continue to listen to her whining.

I have not been here, but a dancer from Salisbury said this place is known to locals as a BJ factory. For a while the club was posting photos of "who we have today" on Facebook. They looked like chubby women you would see at the checkout aisle in a Food Lion or Dollar General... Bleh! Nothing like usual topless dancer standards.
I suppose it is guys with low standards, who just want to pull their dicks out while their eyes are shut, that are keeping this place in business.
