    OT: Food For Thought
"UBI could also include every adult in the country. That’s the idea behind “The Freedom Dividend,” a basic income proposal by 2020 presidential candidate Andrew Yang to give all American adults over the age of 18 an unconditional $1,000 per month to cover expenses." _____________________ I didn't read much of this thread and maybe I'm re-stating what someone else said. The UBI plan by Yang sounds like a horrible idea. For one thing, the threat of automation is still way, way, in the future and greatly exaggerated. But the most important thing is that only the bottom 20% or so really need the money. Giving everyone (rich and poor) the same amount is a terrible and expensive idea. What *should* be done for the poor? There's still about 15 red states that refuse to give federal Medicaid expansion to their population even though they don't have to pay for it. Nothing more than a snub at Obamacare and it means a lot of poor people live without any health insurance.

"...not to have a pseudo-GF experience." ________________ That's also a fair point and there are plenty of SDs who become clingy and emotional. The Reddit forum is full of examples and most of these young SBs are repulsed by that kind of guy. Doesn't describe me, though. It's fun, safe, entertainment and these girls are too young for any kind of emotional attachment. I'm not looking for a GF and any "real" GF would be age-appropriate.

Depends on where you live. Around here the clubs are ordinary and the sugaring scene is vibrant.

^^^ Fair question and sugaring doesn't "protect" you from all all the pitfalls of the stripper scene. There's plenty of overlap for sure -- unstable SBs online, on a death spiral, and responsible strippers with an exit plan. Thing is, there's probably two-orders of magnitude online to choose from in a big metro are like mine. And screening involves several platonic dates where you get an opportunity to find out what they're doing with life, school, and career goals. I've met three SB that would make great life partners if I were 30 years younger. OTOH I did have one SB who was victimized by sexual abuse in her childhood and she was plenty neurotic; didn't find that out until much later. I think it's impossible to be on TUSCL for several years without coming to the realization that drugs/alcohol is a part of the stripper lifestyle. That doesn't mean all strippers partake in that lifestyle.

One additional comment: the transition from stripper OTC to sugaring was done for quality and safety. Not everyone wants to put up with drugs, alcohol, and outside domestic abuse. Nothing glamorous about that.

My progression through the various levels: (1) Started very late (age 38) and was dragged into a strip club with a perverted friend from work. Before that I used to adjunct after work at a local state U. and had a few unpaid flings with students. (3) I do remember first lap dance and thought it was amazing at the time. It was the first time the concept of paying for sex occurred to me. (4) I'm incapable of cumming in my pants and that's been true at any age. (5) There was a longer period of several years where I was looking for ITC in clubs in CA and CO. But gradually got annoyed with the blaring music, the bouncers, the cramped conditions, and lack of privacy. At this point, I barely consider ITC sex. (6) First OTC experience was a big deal to me and remember picturing myself as middle-aged hunk. This was with a dancer pregnant at age 15 and who lived with her 5-yr-old kid in the most squalid conditions. The initial euphoria gave way to the depressing reality of a stripper barely making ends meet. After getting chlamydia from another dancer, that was the end of stripper OTC. (7) I'll interpret (7) to mean sugaring and any long-term arrangement. I've had several gorgeous girls I met online from good families and with common interests. I get tested several times/yr and I also pay for SB testing. Taking your time, you can find some gems online. Still open to meeting someone in a club if it can be done safely.

New, just got my "ITC" and "OTC" if that's what it's called in one night.
So the @OP invited two strippers he's never met over to his house and left them alone in the house while he went out to buy breakfast. Assuming the story's true then you have a death wish and absolutely no street smarts nor common sense. Either a troll or a fool -- take your pick. The fact that you went home with two strippers is especially suspicious. @Subra: "...to which there was the predictable response from one of our more bitchieer members "I wonder why you even bother to pay" _______________________ Sorry my comment was so upsetting, @Subra. I'm sure you're a very attractive, aging, middle-aged guy (since that's apparently what you wanted to hear and need your ego stroked). The point I was making is that most young, attractive, successful guys don't need strip clubs nor Seeking. Strip clubs are generally for lonely, single, guys who need the fantasy that some young girl decades younger actually gives a shit about them. I'm suspicious of any guy who ties clubbing to their ego.

Is the American strip club dying out?
Strip clubs are largely dead for someone like myself who doesn't travel much and who's looking for one (safe) long-term partner at a time. All things being equal, I would prefer *not* to have stripper partners. I'm still open to dancers, but the selection online is about two orders of magnitude greater and it reaches the demographic that I'm looking for. The comparison is akin to buying something on Amazon v. going to the local mom-and-pop store. E-commerce has changed the face of retail forever. Strip clubs are good for spur-of-the-moment fun -- and that's about it.

@Icey : "Corporate welfare is socialism for the super rich..... While the rest of us are forced to fend for ourselves in capitalism.... " _____________ Some or this is accurate in the present context. The only major piece of legislation in the past three years was a corporate tax cut which went primarily to stock- buybacks and did *not* stimulate business investment. The tax cut pushed our deficit over one trillion, and I guarantee the deficit will be used as an excuse to cut entitlements if Trump is reelected. Something is wrong when top 400 individuals have same net worth as bottom 160,000,000.

    Beutiful Face, Meh body
Fortunately the men who inhabit strip clubs don't need plastic surgery /s I don't care about breast size but I admit that pancake-breasts are not attractive. Sometimes due to childbirth, sometimes smoking. I'm thinking of this distance runner I was seeing who was otherwise extremely attractive and the running might have hurt her appearance. It's not a dealbreaker.

Yes, thanks for that powerful post and this was the sentence that really got to me: "Taking clothes off for drugs turned into needing drugs to take your clothes off... " I wonder what we should do as customers? Treating dances with respect is a given, but sometimes I wonder if I should be going at all.
