I think we can all agree that there was some illegal stuff on Backpage, but this "trafficking" stuff is largely hysteria and idiocy.
Anytime that any news article is published about sex trafficking, every single time that a specific city anywhere in the country is mentioned, it is ALWAYS referred to as "the sex trafficking capital" or "one of the sex trafficking capitals" of the nation.

This is a civil lawsuit, not a criminal proceeding. Calling him a "convict" is at best jumping the gun.

They never tell you what you need to know.
There's a whole bunch of people on Instagram who believe wholeheartedly in the "fake it until you make it" thing. They rent apartments, private jets, etc. for photo shoots.

Just remember--every single rule, algorithm, law, etc. that is used to prevent sex trafficking can ALSO be used to prevent consensual prostitution, as well as legal sex work such as stripping. The more that websites and tech companies are held responsible for content, the more likely it is that things YOU like will be banned, simply because somebody else finds those things offensive.

95% of the time, when a story like this happens, the woman is one that you DON'T want to see naked. It appears that this is one of the exceptions.

I guess India is kind of weird about marriages (and no, I'm not talking about the "arraigned marriage" aspect). I came across a brief reference in some article to a guy who was attending a friend's marriage, and he was forced at gunpoint to marry some girl there on the spot.

I've read of some clubs doing air dances only these days. Is DV doing regular lapdances?

Going home early is healthy. 90% of the time when I read stories about somebody being assaulted or killed at a strip club, the incident happens after midnight.

The people claiming that photos are illegal in a strip club are completely incorrect. The test for photography (and many other things) is something called "reasonable expectation of privacy."
People are confusing public PROPERTY with public ACCESS. If you are on private property that is open to the general public -- i.e., any retail establishment -- you DO NOT HAVE ANY EXPECTATION OF PRIVACY.
From the Quora link upthread: "Photography is legal, including video, anywhere that people can gather. The law only forbids it in locker rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, and changing rooms. So yes, someone can legally film in a stripclub."
Here is a more general discussion.

Hint: Anywhere that it's legal for the business to film their customers through the use of surveillance cameras, it's also legal for the customers to take pictures or video.

For some reason, there are a few girls who just can't wait until they turn 18 to start stripping.

@ Wiffle Waffle, is it frustrating when you tell a customer the truth about something and the customer doesn't believe you? Or have you gotten to a place where you don't care?

My favorite right now is an amateur who goes by the name of Nerdy_Faery. She does a LOT of watersport stuff. That and exhibitionism seem to be her kinks.

Based on that one video--I would say that that guy doesn't know the difference between an actual prank, and the type of thing where you have to whine, "But it was a joke!"

If you get involved with another person's spouse, you should count yourself lucky if you DON'T get a violent reaction.

She might have a slight chance of getting gullible people to believe her, but. . . "Just 15 minutes later, she said she began to experience pain in her stomach, which started to grow big very quickly."
Why do so many people insist on pushing their already-dubious stories too far?

The women who do pole dancing as a hobby, or as "fitness," try VERY hard to pretend that they have nothing in common with those nasty, immoral strippers. So I'm not surprised that a mainstream or even semi-mainstream documentary would ignore the elephant in the room.

I was unaware that lawyers are prohibited from discussing strip clubs. A new rule from the ABA, perhaps?
