Whatever
I like seeing all reviews and though it's showing me reviews from a city I recently selected, I now see that there's an option to see all (which says "Fuck it -- Load up every review!"). But if choose that and I go to Discussions and then go back to reviews, it reverts to a specific location. Is there a way that I can keep "every review" as my default?

@ZKing123, apparently Chris Rock never visited Follies. Private VIP rooms are available there for $50 to the house for 30 minutes. The girls will charge you anywhere from $100 (if you're lucky) to $200 (and some, maybe more) for their time, during which... well, without getting too explicit, if you can imagine it and the girl is willing, nothing is impossible. Just sayin'.
As others above have suggested to you, read the reviews here on TUSCL.

Just a couple of weeks ago I got decent lap dances at Strokers in Clarkston (Atlanta area) for $5 each. It's $5 during the day, $10 at night -- and $5 all day *and* night on Mondays. Not quite as high mileage as Follies, of course, but they would easily meet your criteria that they would have to include "touching and friction, when the stripper girl grinds on your lap." There are a number of other places in the Atlanta metro area where you can get decent lap dances for $5 or $10. Helps if you're into black girls.
That said, just go to Follies during the day. Compared to what it sounds like you're used to, I think the $10 full-nude-full-contact-ultra-high-mileage floor dances at Follies would blow your mind.
I think lap dances costing "$25-$30" would be considered outrageous pretty much anywhere in Atlanta. In places like Follies and Tattletales, the VIP rooms cost more, but that's not where lap dances occur. VIP services are *considerably* more involved than lap dances...

I will be out on the west coast next month, and I'm curious: How much is the typical "appropriate tip" here to make the stress go away? (Just trying to plan ahead, you know...)

If she's not latina, I don't want her
@jdoe123444, there are too many variables for me to make a prediction on pricing. I'm sure it will be a YMMV situation, as some girls will have Xmas bills to pay and may be motivated to be flexible to keep some pesos flowing in, while others will hold out, figuring it better to do fewer trips arriba for top dollar. Just like clubs in the states, I guess.
I sorta doubt the difference will be substantial, but one can never tell. My bet is (and I have found this at Chicago Club around the corner from Hong Kong) that rather than coming down in price much, if at all, girls will be much more likely to be amenable to going upstairs for an hour, as opposed to a half hour, for the same price. Sort of makes sense if the number of customers is low and that's what it takes to get your business.

Living 3,000 miles away, I can't get to TJ very often and have to jump on opportunities when they arise I have the chance next month and will be there the weekend after Xmas through New Year's Eve. I expect that it will be less crowded, but as tahoecruz says, there's never really a bad day in TJ. I am easily amused, so I'm sure I'll find enough girls to my liking. I am hoping that I may be able to negotiate better rates than when it's super-crowded. We shall see.

Welcome to TUSCL, Jeffstans4427. This is an excellent first review. I don't know anything about this club myself, but I certainly got a sense of it from your review, and I appreciate the details, including costs.
Just an observation or two regarding your rating the dollar value here as a 9 out of 10. "Bought 4 tap beers for under $100." I would *hope* that you could get 4 tap beers for under $100. I was actually hoping that this was a typo and you meant "for under $10," but I don't drink anymore and don't know what the going rate is.
On to the cost of dances, about which I do have some experience in clubs all over North America. You said, "The one girl told me it was $800 to go upstairs for an hour private dance. I wasn’t willing to pay that.....as the night went on we agreed upon $400 for 1/2 hour plus tip. ... It was the best dance I’ve ever had. There was a lot of grinding/contact and was able to touch “a little”. I left a $100 tip..."
I'm glad you had a good time, but I don't think most TUSCLers would feel that paying $500 for a half hour where you were "able to touch 'a little' " represents very high value. Again, I don't know anything about this club, but rating it a 9 in dollar value? I dunno. For that amount of money, in most places you should be able to get at least a BBBJ, DATY, *and* FS in multiple positions. Maybe that's not possible at this club, but $500 is not what most of us would refer to as a 9 in dollar value for no more than "a lot of grinding/contact and 'a little' touching." In most places, you can get that in a standard $20 dance.
Just an observation -- one that in no way negates the value of your well-written review. Thanks for posting this. We look forward to more of your reviews.

^^^^ "Any problems with parking across the street?"
The problem is you risk getting a Denver boot attached to one of your wheels. A number of years ago I left Follies at 1:00 am and found my car had been booted and a nasty sticker attached to my driver's side window. I called the number and had to pay Paul Blart, mall cop, $50 to have him unboot my wheel -- and take his sweet time in doing it, since he had nothing else to do.
At the time, parking at Follies was only $5.00. Obviously, the parking fee has increased since then; I assume the unbooting fee has as well. Whatever it is, it's not worth the expense or hassle. Probably a much lower risk during the day than at night, especially if you park near the shopping center's stores and walk the greater distance rather than parking near Buford Highway.

Nice review, as usual, from tahoecruz. I was curious to check the location on the map, since the address in the TUSCL listing for the club is 68757 CanAm Hwy, Carr, CO 80612. Sure enough, Google maps shows it as being a little bit south of Cheyenne, just barely across the state line in Colorado.

I had to read your review twice to see if I had missed something. It sounds like the prices you posted were for just one dance ($120 in semi-VIP and $500 for full VIP). Is that correct??

I just retired at the beginning of September, and I'm still trying to figure out how on earth I'd ever have enough time to be bored. Granted, I do have a new flexible part-time job that I created which averages 10 hours a week, so technically, I'm still working some.
Music has always been a big part of my life, and that continues in retirement. In the last week I rehearsed with one band, spent an hour in the studio recording tracks for another band's project, saw concerts by three different bands in three different cities, and will play a gig this Saturday night. Last month I traveled to Miami to see the Who in concert and hit some of the clubs down there (some with Papi Chulo).
I ride my bike for 45 minutes to an hour every morning, try to keep up on my reading (including TUSCL), and am desperately trying to find time to keep my DVR from maxing out on recording shows I want to see but probably won't. For a variety of reasons, I don't club much locally, but I did make that Florida run, took a business-related trip to Atlanta (hit Follies twice in two days), and am planning a trip back to SoCal and Tijuana right after Xmas.
I tell people it's a good thing I'm retired or I wouldn't have time to be this busy. Geez, I haven't even *touched* the bucket list stuff yet.

I'm a skeptical sort. In 1971 I was walking past the Condor Club in San Francisco with a buddy when a barker outside said, 'Hey, you guys wanna get laid?" (This was the place where Carol Doda, the first topless dancer in the U.S., worked.) Not sure if extras were a thing back then in SF -- and I wasn't even old enough to get in -- but I was skeptical, even as a teen.
I did a little clubbing in the mid-1970s (when I finally *was* old enough), but was oblivious to any opportunities to even touch a stripper or have one sit on my lap. As far as I could ascertain, the only thing available back then was candy for the eyes, at least in the midwest where I was living at the time.
Fast forward to 1999, when I returned to strip clubbing (in earnest), and I was still not aware of extras. I was in an upscale strip club (no longer in existence) somewhere between Miami and Fort Lauderdale on Highway 1. It was a weeknight, early evening, and the club was very slow -- a few girls and maybe two other customers. One of the girls and I were getting along great, just shooting the shit. Can't remember if I had gotten any dances from her or not. She suggested we adjourn to a more private space and named a price (can't remember exactly what is was) that was more than I had on me -- and more than I had ever paid in a club. She promised that we'd have a really good time, and though I'm a skeptic, I felt like she really meant it. I actually left the club to find an ATM and came back.
It was that night I learned that some clubs had private rooms. In short order, she was fully nude and pretty soon she had my pants off. We were in there for probably 45 minutes or more, during which time hands were everywhere. She finished me off between her gorgeous boobs. Until that moment, I did not know that such a thing was possible in a club. Of course, now I laugh at how tame that really was, as, since then, I have obviously done much, much more in multiple clubs all over North America.
Incidentally, 1999 is when I discovered Follies. Back then they had a couple of VIP rooms (near the pool table, now long gone), but I don't think Follies then was the extras palace that it is now. I remember once in the VIP, the tip of my johnson *somehow* just happened to poke up above the waistband of my pants and when the dancer discovered that, she totally freaked out and ran out of the VIP room. My reaction? I thought she was going to sic a bouncer on me, so I left the VIP and got out the of the club as fast as I could. Oh my, how things have changed!

I've gotten some very good dances from "She Who Shall Remain Nameless in This Review" during a couple of visits. I asked her about doing a VIP, and though she was willing, she was upfront about her limits. I really appreciated that -- and passed -- but still got dances from her the next time I saw her. She is the opposite of a ROB. Look for her; you will know her by her out-standing nipples.

As the reviewer said, the VIP dance promo is two for $40, but unless they've recently changed things, it's not "instead of $30 each" -- it's instead of $40 each. I was here once not too long ago. No customers did any $40 single dances, but when they ran the two-for-$40 promo, everyone did those, which makes sense.
What doesn't make sense is charging $40 for a single dance when the other clubs in town charge $30. The mileage is on the low side here, and $40 a dance is outrageous. For that matter, so is $30 for what little mileage you get here, but at $40, no one is buying them. If they charged the Greensboro-standard $30, maybe people would buy some of those during the hour between 2-4-1 promos; the girls would make more money and so would the club. Duh.
