More light is better for seeing them on stage, but who cares. Dark is better for FRMOS, oral both ways, and front room FS. Our one place which was like this was very dark and it did not then even have a stage. Scanning drivers licenses might be to get lower insurance. It makes it safer. I do understand why people will object, but I think it makes the place safer.
